Abstract

This study aims to analyze and describe meanings on the symbols embodied in the martial arts logo school of Setia Hati Terate Brotherhood (PSHT) and its representation towards the ideological values of Pancasila. The study is based on the Ethnosemiotical approach. This analytical method on the cultural texts connects the understanding of reading the symbolic expressions represented in the PSHT logo. The results conclude that the symbolic entities on PSHT logo imply a concordance on the values between the Peircean semiotic perspectives in the form of the organizational principles confirming the ideological state of Pancasila. The result showed that on the symbol of lotus flower buds, half-bloom and bloom refers to the philosophical meaning of ‘having stability and confidence in social skills, therefore, they don’t feel awkward and feeling inferior’ it would seem difficult to find the meaning of connotation and denotation and thus requires further clarification from the public who involve in the Organizations of PSHT. Identification of such symbols indicating the active-enterprising which motivate the instillation on the values of Pancasila, uniting , maintain and strengthening the unity of the nation, the moving spirit of the nation in undertaking the national development and solving the arising problems in the life of the nation.

Abstract

Kompetisi bisnis dalam alaf globalisasi ini menuntut suatu korporasi mampu merespon dengan keputusan yang cepat dan tepat. Oleh karena itu, setiap perusahaan dituntut bersaing secara kompetitif dalam hal menciptakan dan mempertahankan konsumen yang loyal. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui pengaruh kualitas pelayanan, kepuasan nasabah dan lokasi terhadap loyalitas nasabah baik secara parsial maupun simultan serta untuk mengetahui variabel manakah yang paling berpengaruh terhadap loyalitas nasabah BMT Tumang Cabang Grabag Magelang.Tipe penelitian dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian ekslanatory dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh nasabah BMT Tumang Cabang Grabag Magelang per Juni 2018 yang berjumlah 886 nasabah. jumlah sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah berjumlah 89 responden yang diambil secara accidental sampling. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis regresi linier berganda pada taraf signifikansi 5%. Hasil penelitian menunjukan terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan kualitas pelayanan, kepuasan nasabah, dan lokasi terhadap loyalitas nasabah BMT Tumang Cabang Grabag Magelang baik secara simultan maupun parsial terhadap loyalitas nasabah, dengan variabel kualitas pelayanan mempunyai pengaruh paling dominan terhadap loyalitas nasabah

Abstract

Religion as a living reality of praxis system reflects the power of flexibility, appreciation and accommodation of growing traditions and cultures. Social inte-gration is the social process of a particular member of society regardless of the cultural and religious diversity embraced, they are aware of the obligation to build solidarity based on strong relationships in building the nation. The process of social integration can work well if supported by good social norms and cus-toms. Social norms and customs are the elements governing behavior and de-manding how cultured Muslim societies behave. This research is designed using descriptive approach that aims to create a description or description systemati-cally, factually, and accurately about the facts, properties, and relationships be-tween the phenomena studied. The results of this study indicate that social inte-gration in Islam is often found in people who view Islam as an understanding that can be compatible with the values of local tradition, this concept is known as Cultural Islam. Cultural Islam is a process in which external elements are ac-cepted by local elements or vice versa. Indonesian clerics have managed to inte-grate Islam and keindonesiaan, so that regional traditions with restrictions that are adjusted to Islamic values.

Abstract

Higher Education has a key role in preparing society to entering the era of Society 5.0. Higher education must be able to change the paradigm of society with good ideas and thoughts towards a better social order. Apart from knowledge, higher education must be able to form a generation of change agents in society. This study aims to find out more about the vision of the Satya Wacana Christian University to form a generation of leaders with a “creative minority” spirit. This research is a qualitative research with a case study approach that was held in Satya Wacana Christian University (SWCU). This research concludes that the vision of creative minority is the university's vision to form leaders who drive the nation's development with the following skills and character: Leadership, creative, problem solver, critical mindfulness. This vision is manifested as points in the CPL study program. In addition, this vision is also integrated into the hidden curriculum through the process of: habituation, role models, internalization, and culturalization.

Abstract

The learning strategy applied by the history teacher basically affects the process and learning outcomes of students. Moreover, in the 21st century, various challenges arise so that the concept of 21st century education is needed to face these challenges. One of the efforts that history teachers can do in facing the challenges of 21st century education is to promote critical literacy. This article is a theoretical study written using the literature study method. The purpose of writing this article is to try to embody the two discussions. First, provision of critical literacy for prospective history teachers. Second, the strategy of history teachers in promoting critical literacy to students. Based on the results of the study of literature, it can be concluded that history teachers basically have the potential to promote critical literacy to students through the concept of historical thinking skills and controversial historical discourses. Considering that, in the education process at the tertiary level, prospective history teachers are very familiar with critical literacy so that they have the opportunity to transmit the implementation of critical literacy to students in secondary schools.

Abstract

The role of the teacher is very important in shaping the character of students who have a sense of nationalism. The feeling of nationalism is something that must be held by everyone, especially by students, so that in the process of development it becomes an important capital in the survival of the nation and the state. This paper seeks to obtain information about the participation of history teachers in instilling students' nationalism. The results show that history teachers are very important in instilling an attitude of nationalism in students because the teacher is an example, the teacher is an inspiration, the teacher is a motivator, and the teacher is an evaluator. In learning history itself, the modeling of the character of nationalism is mainly discussed. The method used in this research is the study of literature or library research and by conducting observational studies from previous studies. Library research, Researchers study and collect data through several kinds of literature and reading sources that support and are relevant to research. In this case, literature research is carried out through books, magazines,  internet.

Abstract

Character education is an effort to instill character values which include knowledge, awareness or will, and action. Character education aims to shape the mindset, attitudes, and behavior of students to become individuals with noble character, both in relation to God Almighty, oneself, the community, as well as the nation and state. The current situation of the covid-19 pandemic is a problem for the world of education, especially formal education in an effort to instill character education. Learning is currently mostly carried out online, so it becomes a challenge for teachers in the process of instilling character education. This study aims to describe the role of teachers in instilling character education in the era of the covid-19 pandemic. In this study, the author uses the library study method by collecting several articles and other written sources that are in accordance with the theme of the discussion. The results of the study show that the synergy between teachers, parents, and the community is very much needed to realize the behavior of students with character in the midst of the covid-19 pandemic.

Abstract

The process of historical learning in the limited face-to-face system was done by using a blended learning model. This model requires the role of online media to help synchronous and asynchronous learning process. This study aims to analyze the role of online media as the latest form of learning in improving digital literacy skills. This type of research is descriptive qualitative with a case study approach. The research was conducted at SMA N 1 Ceper using data collection methods through interviews with 20 social studies students in grades XI and XII, document analysis, and observation. The results of this study show 1) Students' readiness to learn in an online learning environment, 2) students very often use online media as a source of independent learning materials during synchronous and asynchronous learning process, 3) students use digital media for collaboration and problem solving. Thus, online media plays an important role in increasing students' digital literacy as an important ability in the era of the industrial revolution 4.0.
