Abstract

Semarang – Solo toll roads, Ungaran Bawen Section was built to support economic growth in Semarang – Solo and its surroundings. The road across the hills and valleys that contain clay shale. Catastrophic landslide and slope occurs in toll roads at Semarang – Solo STA 19+525. This undergraduate thesis is about the stability of slopes on toll roads, mechanisms and mitigation. The analysis involves conditions which the motions of the soil on the slope because of slope unstability, manual calculation slope stability with Fellenius methods, geotechnical analysis and the use of retaining wall as an alternative method of reinforcement. Geotechnical analysis using Plaxis finite element software. Plastic and elastic model of Mohr-Coulomb failure criterion was chosen as a model soil. Analysis showed that the most optimum avalanche  mitigation is to install a retaining. By using retaining wall combine, minimum slope safety factor be increased and reached 1,541.

Abstract

Road between Weleri - Patean is a national road that has an important role in regional and national economic development. The road is an alternative route that connects the “Pantura” to the “Selatan” route. In January 2012, there was a catastrophic landslide occurred in kilometers 50 from Weleri to Patean. It’s 6.8 meters in height and 8 meters in lenght landslide. As result,, only half the roads are passable by vehicles, and by the implementation of on way system, the flow of traffic became pretty slow.After slope stability analysis using Fellenius method is performed, it is shown that the SF or safety factor of the slope is 0.665 and for 1.284 by using Plaxis V.8.2 program. Both SF less than normal safety factor which is 1.3. So it can be inferred that the slope is in critical condition. Therefore, it is very important to install special reinforcement to restrain or stabilize the slope.The first alternative of slope reinforcement is gabion, the second alternative is retaining wall and the third alternative is steel sheet pile reinforcement. Based on finite element method calculation using Plaxis V.8.2 software, it is found that gabion changes the safety factor of the slope from 1,284 to 1.512 and gives  4.645 cm displacement. Meanwhile, retaining wall increases the value of safety factor from 1.284 to 1.538 and gives 4.365 cm displacement. In otherhand, steel sheet pile reinforcement gives a noticeable safety factor value which is 2.075 and gives 2.932 cm displacement. Compared to the other alternatives, steel sheet pile reinforcement performs the best stabilization reinforcement, resulting in high safety factor value and small displacement value, therefore, steel sheet pile reinforcement is is considered as the best alternative solutions for landslide in Weleri – Patean Km 50 Road.

Abstract

Structure Condotel Grand Darmo Suite Surabaya planned 13 floors and is located in the region quake 2. The final task is to plan the structure of the building of reinforced concrete using System Frame bearers Special Moment (SRPMK). Building System model frame bearers Special Moment (SRPMK) using the concept of Strong Column and Weak Beam (strong column and weak beam) in accordance with SNI 03-2847-2002 and SNI-1726-2002. Planning the structure of the building using the concept of design capacity. Structure is reviewed by using the analysis of load effects equivalent static and structural analysis calculated with the help of the program SAP2000 v11. Results of the structural design Condotel Grand Darmo Suite Surabaya consisting of concrete frame with reinforcement diameter (D22, D19, D16, D13, and P10), shear wall thickness of 25 cm, the roof using a reinforced concrete slab and foundation using concrete piles precast diameter of 40 cm and 50 cm. Calculations that have been done show that all elements of the building structure is safe in the analysis.
