Abstract

This research investigates the complex interplay between language and power in the formation of ethnolinguistic identities within diasporic communities. As globalization accelerates, diasporic groups navigate a complex landscape where traditional linguistic practices intersect with new socio-political realities. This study aims to critically examine how language functions as a tool for negotiating identity and power within these communities, emphasizing the role of language ideologies and practices in shaping social dynamics. The primary objectives are to explore how language serves as a medium for the construction and negotiation of ethnolinguistic identities and to understand the influence of power relations on these processes. Specifically, the study seeks to identify the ways in which language practices reflect and challenge power structures within diasporic contexts and how these practices contribute to the formation of collective and individual identities. This research is a multi-sited ethnographic approach, and integrates discourse analysis across several diasporic communities. Findings reveal that language serves as a strategic resource for negotiating social status and ethnic belonging. Diasporic individuals employ code-switching, language reclamation, and multilingualism to assert identity and resist assimilation pressures. The study highlights how language ideologies both reinforce and contest existing power structures, demonstrating the dynamic role of language in shaping ethnolinguistic identities amidst shifting socio-political landscapes.

In this way, the source of the rationalities of both was the same in spite of the fact that both of them made certain changes in it, the research method is documentary. The information is collected in the form of documents. Finally, the research findings show that both were the products of intellectual, spiritual, and social forces of their age and therefore, both stood up as revolts against the prevalent Brahmanic religion.

Abstract

This research explores the impact of organizational behavior on Afghanistan’s state development by applying Stephen P. Robbins’ theories to assess institutional challenges and propose strategic solutions. Afghanistan’s governance structures suffer from weak leadership, ineffective communication, low motivation, and poor organizational culture, all of which hinder institutional performance and state-building efforts. Utilizing a qualitative research methodology, this study relies on literature and book sources to analyze Robbins’ key concepts, including motivation, leadership, decision-making, and organizational culture, within the Afghan context. The findings reveal that inefficient organizational structures, lack of employee engagement, and poor management practices significantly contribute to the stagnation of governmental institutions. However, Robbins’ theories provide effective strategies for overcoming these challenges by fostering strong leadership, improving communication, and enhancing motivation through structured organizational policies. The results suggest that implementing Robbins’ frameworks can lead to a more efficient, accountable, and responsive administration, ultimately strengthening state institutions. The study concludes that integrating advanced organizational behavior principles into public administration can be a transformative approach to improving Afghanistan’s governance, promoting institutional stability, and driving long-term state development. By adopting these theoretical insights, policymakers can enhance decision-making processes and create a more resilient and effective bureaucratic system.

Abstract

This study provides a comprehensive review of social behaviors and cultural reproduction using Bourdieu’s theories of practice and reproduction. Social behaviors and cultural patterns are central to understanding the reproduction of societal structures, yet they often go unexplored regarding power dynamics and individual agency. Bourdieu’s concepts of "habitus," "capital," and "field" offer a nuanced framework for analyzing how cultural practices and social behaviors perpetuate inequalities across generations. This study aims to critically examine how Bourdieu’s theoretical constructs contribute to the reproduction of cultural and social norms, focusing on the mechanisms that sustain social order. Utilizing a qualitative methodology, this study reviews the existing literature and theoretical applications of Bourdieu’s work by drawing on case studies across diverse social contexts. The findings indicate that Bourdieu’s theories provide valuable insights into how social behaviors are shaped by both individual actions and systemic structures. The research highlights that cultural reproduction is not merely an individual process but is deeply embedded in social fields where power dynamics are continuously negotiated. This review not only enriches the understanding of social behaviors but also demonstrates the relevance of Bourdieu’s theories in contemporary social and cultural studies.

Abstract

Pregnancy and childbirth have been an integral part of human existence for thousands of years, but unfortunately, the experience has not been easy for all women. Many medicines are available, but the potential for harm is not negligible, as illustrated in thalidomide in 1958. Therefore, many mega medicines are not recommended for use during pregnancy because they have known or suspicious problems or are not sufficient to say that they are safe. In this respect, Chinese herbs are gaining popularity in both developing and developed countries due to their natural origin and relatively safeness with few side effects. This article gives an overview of some of these plants used around Jalalabad city during pregnancy, childbirth, and postnatal care. We examined about 20 species of plants belonging to different families, the most common of which are Asparagus racemosus (Liliaceae), Apium graveolens (Umbelliferae), RheumOfficinalee Polygonaceaee), Veratrum nigrum (Melanthiaceae). Met. From the available studies, it can be concluded that herbal medicines can be used during pregnancy, childbirth, and postnatal care after proper verification of the plant.
