Abstract

This study follows the previous study entitle Problem-based Learning (PBL) in reflective pedagogy paradigm (RPP): Innovative learning in pharmaceutical care, which identified the learning material as complicated. This study aimed to provide an appropriate method for performing pharmacy management and pharmaceutical care in Community Pharmacy. Data collection was done using an assessment instrument to identify student’s achievement. The previous study encompasses preceptors and students in developing learning material, which cause it more valid and reliable to be implemented. The study was conducted in Yogyakarta, Surakarta, and Semarang city. The effectiveness of the learning material was shown by the grade of student’s achievement in learning outcome and the clear state with confidence in the expression of reflection and action-plan. Most of the students in the 3 cities achieved an excellent grade both in the problem-solving field, and presentation of the assignment. The students reflected that the learning material is simple and suitable in practicing pharmaceutical care and pharmacy management, moreover, they can state their plan to work as a Community Pharmacist with confidence. Therefore, PBL in the RPP method is ready to be used in practicing pharmaceutical care in the Community Pharmacy.

Abstract

Siswa sekolah menengah merupakan kelompok remaja yang rentan di masa pandemi COVID-19 ini, terutama terkait model aktivitas berkelompok dan wacana pembelajaran tatap muka yang akan diberlakukan. Oleh karena itu, perlu upaya peningkatan kepatuhan dalam menjalankan protokol kesehatan (prokes) pada kelompok sasaran ini. Tujuan dari kegiatan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat (PKM) ini adalah untuk peningkatan pengetahuan dan pemahaman tentang protokol kesehatan 5M di kalangan siswa SMK Kesehatan di Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta. Metode kegiatan dilaksanakan dengan edukasi secara daring dalam bentuk webinar menggunakan platform Zoom meeting dan penayangan video edukasi prokes. Kegiatan ini diikuti oleh 84 peserta (response rate 84%). Peningkatan pemahaman peserta tentang materi edukasi diukur secara kuantitatif dengan pemberian pre-test dan post-test. Hasil pengukuran menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pengetahuan peserta secara signifikan sebelum dan setelah edukasi (p < 0,05) dengan selisih – 6,50 (IK 95%, -8,11 sampai -4,94). Hal menarik lain yang mengemuka adalah antusiasme peserta terhadap program vaksinasi COVID-19. Dari kegiatan ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa edukasi tentang prokes dapat meningkatkan skor pengetahuan siswa SMK Kesehatan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini ditujukan untuk meningkatkan pelayanan KIE melalui eksplorasi pandangan pasien DM terkait kebutuhan mendasar tentang informasi obat untuk penyakit DM dan pandangan apoteker terhadap peran dan tanggung jawabnya dalam layanan KIE bagi pasien DM.Jenis penelitian ini adalah observasional dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Penelitian dilakukan di Yogyakarta dengan responden pasien DM yang pernah menebus resep di apotek dan Apoteker Pengelola Apotek (APA) atau Apoteker pendamping(Aping). Pemilihan responden dilakukan dengan teknik non-random convenience. Data diambil dengan teknik wawancara mendalam terhadap responden yang memenuhi kriteria inklusi dan bersedia berpartisipasi dalam penelitian ini. Data kualitatif hasil wawancara dianalisis secara content-analysis. Wawancara dilakukan terhadap 17 pasien DM dan 7 Apoteker. Hasil wawancara terhadap pasien DM menunjukkan bahwa layanan KIE dari apotek selama ini belum optimal dan masih banyak informasi yang sebetulnya dibutuhkan dan diharapkanbelumdiperoleh. Dari pihak Apoteker, menyatakan bahwa belum optimalnya pelaksanaan KIE bagi pasien DM disebabkan oleh beban tugas pada aspek menejerial apotek dan kurangnya akses sumber informasi terkait DM untuk mendukung pelaksanaan layanan KIE.  Oleh karena itu, upaya peningkatan layanan KIE bagi pasien DM harus terus dilakukan.Kata kunci: Informasi obat, KIE, diabetes melitus, studi kualitatif Drug Information Service Improvement for Patients of Diabetes MellitusThe aim of the study is to explore the needs of patients regarding information about DMSM that will lead to improve patient’s knowledge, attitude and practice on DMSM and also to explore the view of pharmacists on their role and responsibility in providing patients information and education about DMSM. This is an observational study with a qualitative approach, which was conducted in Yogyakarta.People with DM and caregiver who purchased prescriptions in a pharmacy; and pharmacists who work in community pharmacy are involved in the study. They were selected using a non-random convenience sampling technique. Data were collected using in depth interviews and then were analysed using a content analysis technique. Seventeen DM patients and seven pharmacists were interviewed. The patients stated that DMSM information provided by pharmacist is not sufficient yet. They expected more indepthinformation regarding DMSM. Based on Pharmacist’s point of view, an overload of managerial works and lack of access on reliable sources of information of DMSM are seen as the main barriers to provide sufficient information and education on DMSM. In conclusion, efforts to improve quality ofinformation and education provision regarding DMSM for patients are urgently required.Key words: Information and education, KIE, diabetes mellitus, qualitative study

Abstract

AbstrakPenyalahgunaan narkoba di kalangan remaja sangat memprihatinkan terutama bagi remaja putra. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui tipe parenting orang tua yang efektif untuk mencegah penyalahgunaan narkoba pada remaja. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian komparatif yang melibatkan remaja sebagai subyek penelitian yang ditentukan secara purposive sebanyak 80 subyek remaja putra dan 80 subyek remaja putri. Pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner, selanjutnya diolah dengan aplikasi Anova. Hasil analisis ρ=0,022 bermakna iρ<0,05 yang menunjukkan ada perbedaan upaya pencegahan narkoba yang berkaitan dengan parenting orang tua (authoritative, autoritarian dan permissive) bagi remaja putra dan putri. Rekomendasi kepada orang tua agar dapat memberikan layanan authoritative parenting yang lebih efektif kepada remaja karena masa ini adalah dimana remaja masih mencari identitas dirinya. The purpose of this study was to figure out the type of effective parenting in preventing drug abuse in adolescents. This study is a comparative study involving adolescents as research subjects which were determined purposively with a total of 80 male subjects and 80 female subjects. Collecting data used a questionnaire, then processed with the Anova application. The results of the analysis =0.022, which means iρ<0.05, which indicates that there are differences in drug prevention efforts related to parenting (authoritative, authoritarian and permissive) for young boys and girls. Recommendations to parents to be able to provide more effective authoritative parenting services to adolescents because this period is where adolescents are still looking for their identity.Keywords: parenting, parents, adolescents, drug prevention

Abstract

AbstrakPeredaran gelap dan penyalahgunaan narkoba sudah masuk di semua lapisan masyarakat bahkan sampai di kalangan remaja, kondisi ini sangat memprihatinkan dan perlu upaya pencegahan secara serius dan berkelanjutan.  Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji efektivitas pelatihan pola asuh demokratis terhadap pencegahan bahaya narkoba. Penelitian menggunakan desain quasy experiment dengan two group pre and post test design, dengan tehnik sampling menggunakan purposive sampling.  Penelitian dengan tahapan: (1) memilih pelatihan pola asuh tentang bahaya narkoba dengan kerangka teori B= f (PF,EF,RF) yaitu faktor (predisposing factors, enabling factors, reinforcing factors), (2) melakukan pelatihan pola asuh demokratis pada orangtua, dan (3) impelementasi pola asuh demokratis orangtua tentang bahaya narkoba kepada remaja.  Pengambilan data dengan kuesioner terhadap pengetahuan, sikap dan  komitmen perilaku bebas narkoba bagi remaja sebelum dan sesudah pelatihan dan dibandingkan dengan group kontrol. Analisis  Anova dari aspek pengetahuan, sikap  dan komitmen perilaku responden pada group  eksperimen dan kontrol menunjukkan nilai sig. 0,000 < 0,05 maka H1 diterima yaitu ada perbedaan yang signifikan antara group  eksperimen dengan group  kontrol. Kesimpulan pelatihan pola asuh demokratis orangtua efektive meningkatkan pengetahuan, sikap, dan komitmen perilaku hidup bebas narkoba bagi remaja.   Kata kunci : bahaya narkoba, bebas, pengetahuan, sikap AbstractIllicit trafficking and drug abuse have entered all levels of society, even among teenagers, this condition is very concerning and requires serious and sustainable prevention efforts. This study aims to examine the effectiveness of democratic parenting training on the prevention of the dangers of drugs. The study used a quasi-experimental design with two group pre and post-test designs, with a sampling technique using purposive sampling. Research with stages: (1) choosing parenting training about the dangers of drugs with a theoretical framework B = f (PF, EF, RF) namely factors (predisposing factors, enabling factors, reinforcing factors), (2) conducting democratic parenting training for parents , and (3) the implementation of democratic parenting of parents about the dangers of drugs to adolescents. Collecting data with a questionnaire on knowledge, attitudes and commitment to drug-free behavior for adolescents before and after training and compared with the control group. Anova analysis of the aspects of knowledge, attitudes and behavioral commitment of respondents in the experimental and control groups showed the value of sig. 0.000 <0.05 then H1 is accepted, that is, there is a significant difference between the experimental group and the control group. The conclusion is that democratic parenting training for parents is effective in increasing knowledge, attitudes, and commitment to drug-free behavior for adolescents. Keywords: danger of drugs, free, knowledge, attitude

Abstract

Pemberian edukasi kesehatan dengan tema perilaku bersih dan sehat (PHBS) serta penggunaan multivitamin dengan baik melalui media video, akan memberikan manfaat yang sangat besar pada proses belajar mengajar di sekolah. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah: 1) interaksi media edukasi berbasis video yang bertemakan Perilaku Hidup Bersih dan Sehat (PHBS) serta penggunaan multivitamin, 2) Mengungkapkan media edukasi berbasis video perilaku hidup bersih dan sehat (PHBS) dan multivitamin. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian dan pengembangan, yang dilakukan dengan pengembangan media berbasis video edukasi. Prosedur pengembangan media pembelajaran dilakukan melalui : 1) Tahap studi pendahuluan antara lain studi literatur dan studi lapangan, 2) Tahap pengembangan dilakukan dengan pembuatan draft desain model atau perancangan yang dibagi menjadi 3 bagian diantaranya a) menyusun materi, b) membuat naskah dan menyiapkan storyboard , c) pengambilan video dan editing video. Selanjutnya penilaian oleh para ahli atau pakar materi, media dan ujicoba terbatas untuk menilai kelaykan media yang dibuat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tersusunnya media edukasi berbasis video dengan tema perilaku hidup bersih dan sehat (PHBS) serta penggunaan multivitamin berdasarkan berdasarkan penilaian ahli media diperoleh prosentase sebesar 77,50%, ahli materi diperoleh prosentase sebesar 85,50% dan hasil ujicoba terbatas diperoleh prosentase sebesar 81,07%. Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic impacted the need for new adaptations in the learning process, namely by implementing an online learning system. This method remains a trend in the future, so it is necessary to conduct research to evaluate the online lectures. The evaluation process evaluates at the microlevel, namely the process, learning outcomes, and student perceptions of the Drug Information Services course.This research is evaluative and descriptive, with a cross-sectional design and quantitative and qualitative approaches. Research was conducted at the Faculty of Pharmacy, Sanata Dharma University. The respondents were 124 USD Pharmacy S-1 students who took the Drug Information Services course in the odd semester of 2020–2021. Student learning outcomes and perceptions were obtained using validated assessment rubrics and reflection questionnaires.The results showed that the implementation of Drug Information Services lectures went according to the semester learning plan; there were minor revisions to improve the dynamics of student discussions. Students learning outcomes are in the "very good" category, except for the OSCE examination, which is relatively sufficient. Student have a positive perception of this online lecture. In conclusion, this online lecture can be maintained for the future with a slight modification to the oral exam, which uses the offline method by implementing strict health protocols.

Abstract

An essential pharmacy service is the pharmacists' information service on medications. This service will have an effect on improving customer satisfaction and raising awareness of the use of medications. Many clients are still unhappy with this service. This study aims to assess consumer satisfaction levels with the non-prescription drug information service provided at pharmacies in the Wedomartani area and identify gaps between consumer expectations and the actual service. This investigation is a cross-sectional, analytical, and observational study. A total of 142 customers, who bought over-the-counter medications at four pharmacies in the Wedomartani region between March and April 2022, served as respondents. The research instrument used is a service quality questionnaire with the servqual method. The questionnaires used have undergone validity tests, language comprehension tests, and reliability tests. There are two ways to complete surveys: offline (on paper) and online (using a Google form). Three methods are used to assess the data: gap analysis, customer satisfaction index computation, and importance-performance analysis (IPA). The findings revealed that (1) the results of the gap analysis were < 0 (negative value f), (2) the CSI analysis yielded a minimum value of 80%, and (3) there is a need to strengthen medication information services. The conclusions of this study are: there is still a gap between reality and expectations felt by consumers; Theoretically, drug information should be based on scientific information, but the delivery of drug information needs to be simplified so that it is easily understood by the recipient of the information...
