Abstract

Abstrac The politeness in directive speech act is an important thing in teaching and learning interactions. Therefore, it is necessary to study to the use of directive speech acts spoken by teachers and students in teaching and learning interactions. This study aimed to describe the forms, functions, and causative factors of the politeness in directive speech act in teaching and learning interactions at SMP Negeri  4 Sungai Penuh.This research is a qualitative-descriptive research using the technique of Simak Bebas Libat Cakap. Data were collected by recording and questionnaire. The theory used as the basis for analyzing the politeness in directive speech act in this research was the pragmatic theory of Searle, Yule George (1996), Geoffrey Leech (1993), Abdul Chaer (2010), and Ibrahim (1993).The results showed that the forms of the politeness in directive speech act in teaching and learning interactions at 4 Public Junior High School Sungai Penuh were the forms of requests, questions, orders, prohibitions, giving permission and advice. The functions of the politeness in directive speech act were the functions of asking, requesting, willing, prohibiting, pressing, directing, allowing, instructing, advising, suggesting, demanding, inviting, requiring, and forgiving. The causative factors of the politeness in directive speech act were the context, intonation, social institutions, diction, topics of conversation, and language style.

Abstract

This study is based on the phenomenon of oral literature development, especially prose development which underwent a quite serious stagnation in Sungai Penuh City. In schools, especially in primary schools, the introducing of prose was still in the form of a general scope, which was the same fable. Thus, it is important to improve the competency of beginner lecturers in the National Competitive Research to develop the utilization of folklore in the form of regional oral literature (Kunun) as a medium for implicating the value of character building in all primary school in Sungai Penuh City. The purpose of this study was to describe the structure, function, and the values of local wisdom and the autonomy of the application of Kunun as a media for improving the character building values in primary Schools in Sungai Penuh City. This study was a qualitative research with descriptive method. Data were collected through the study of literature, direct observation followed by documentation and interviewed with informants. The results of the recording were transcribed into Kerinci regional language and then to Indonesian. The results showed that there were many characters of value in Kunun that could be used as learning media. Besides, the application and the autonomy of Kunun have not been implicated optimally due to several problems. One of them was the lack of references or supporting books about Kunun

Abstract

The reseach has describing the structures, storytelling environment and social function of Tale Haji Kerinci text. This research is a qualitative descriptive study using a content analysis method to insvestigate the content and information contained in Tale Haji text. while the data collection technique is done by observation technique through recording and note taking, as well as interview technique that is carried out on informants such as traditional leaders and community leaders. The research finding revealed that the structures of Tale Haji Kerinci are in the form poem as rows and lines rhyme, sampiran and the content and word choice, environmental of Tale Haji is include sad and happines. The function of Tale Haji Kerinci as educated and religius function.

Abstract

This research is based on anecdote text writing ability. Most of the students had difficulties when they write an anecdote text. Most of them were unmotivated to write immediately. Beside that, some students’ score in writing were also low. It can be seen from their score which were below the KKM. Even though the teaching techniques chosen and practiced by the teacher in teaching writing greatly impact the learning achievement of the students, some of the them were not able to present the writing material in an interesting, inspiring and creative way. This learning model made it hard for the students to write the anecdote text. The theories used as the references in this research were Isjoni’s opinion about cooperative learning model and Kebol’s about the anecdote text. This research was an experimental research. The research population was grade X students which consist of 2 classes with the total number of students was 40 students. The sample of this research was taken by doing random sampling. X MIPA 1 class was chosen as the experimental class. In other hand X MIPA 2 was chosen as the control class. Each of this class was consisted of 20 students. The result of this research showed that the cooperative learning model of the Make A Match type is appropriate for learning to write anecdotal texts for class X students of SMA Negeri 5 Kerinci because this model can influence writing skills. It was proven by average score of students in the experimental class, 87.60, which is higher than the control class, which is 76.75.Based on the research result we can conclude that Make A match type of cooperative learning model has significant effect on students’ ability in writing anecdote text at grade X SMAN 5 Kerinci

Abstract

Persoalan tentang perempuan merupakan persoalan yang menyangkut hak–hak dasar perempuan sebagai makhluk ciptaan tuhan. Jika pada umumnya, karya sastra feminisme hanya muncul dari kelompok pengarang perempuan, maka saat ini feminisme dalam bentuk karya sastra juga muncul dari pengarang pria. Penelitian ini berfokus pada representasi feminisme dalam cerpen bertemakan perempuan dari pengarang dengan gender berbeda yang terdapat pada Cerpen “Laki-laki ke 1000 di ranjangku” karya Emha Ainun Nadjib dan cerpen “Air” karya Djenar Maesya Ayu ditinjau dari teori psikoanalisis. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan ekspresif. Pendekatan ini dilakukan untuk melihat bagaimanakah perbedaan aspek kejiwaan pengarang dengan gender berbeda dalam merepresentasikan feminisme. Instrumen dalam penelitian ini yaitu peneliti yang dibantu laporan pecatatan dan alat tulis. Teknik analisis data menggunakan metode content analysis yaitu dengan cara mendeskripsikan fakta-fakta tentang Id, Ego dan Super Ego tokoh utama yang merupakan representasi dari Id, Ego Dan Super Ego Pengarang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan cara representasi dari dua pengarang dengan gender berbeda. Keseluruhan wujud representasi tersebut tercermin dalam aspek psikologi berupa Id, Ego dan Super Ego yang terdapat pada watak tokoh utama, berupa konflik batin pada diri tokoh perempuan yang disampaikan dengan cara yang berbeda dan khas.
