Abstract

Patient safety is the fundamental thing that needs to be taken care of by medical staff when giving healthcare to patient  especially in the Emergency Installation. PKU Muhammadiyah Public Hospital at Bantul has implemented Patient safety well in providing services for patients. Expected to be a reference for other hospitals to implement Patient safety as well as efforts to improve the quality of health services, but do not close the possibility there were still some deficiencies that could be made a suggestion for the PKU Muhammadiyah Bantul Hospital. There for researchers interested to review more detail how application of Patient safetyin Emergency Installation PKU Muhammadiyah Bantul Public Hospital in 2014. This research was qualitative observational study, using research subjects: The Head of the medical service, 1 Officer of Emergency Installation, the head of disaster management, 1 medical doctor, 1 nurse, and 4 patients that were taken with inclusion criteria: getting inpatient class III Hospitals in Yogyakarta, have inpatient  more than 1 day. All the input items on the application of patient safety which include facilities, equipment, drugs, procedures, and activities of officers at Emergency Installation at PKU Muhammadiyah Bantul Hospital, as well as the application process is in compliance with the Guidelines of Observation Guidelines Patient Safety 2008 Survey and Guidelines for Accreditation of Hospital Emergency Services Specific Guidelines (revised edition 2007), ACT No. 44 Hospital in 2009, and patient safety procedures 2008. Patient perceived output includes five dimensions of quality (Tangible, Reliable, Responsiveness, Assurance and Empathy) all have the same perception of good and satisfying. Application on standard input, process and output is suit with Observation Guidelines for Patient Safety 2008 Survey and Guidelines for Accreditation of Hospital Emergency Services Specific Guidelines (revised edition 2007), ACT No. 44 Hospital in 2009, and patient safety procedures 2008.

Abstract

HIV Transmission can also occur as a result of the employment relationship.In addition to health workers there are other workers who are in close contact with his client was a barber, hairdresser, masseur, tattoo, ear piercer and acupuncturist. The purpose of this study was to determine the behavior of a barber in the prevention of transmission of HIV/AIDS with the use of a sterile razor blade. The study design was cross-sectional survey and data analysis is performed simultaneously with quantitative descriptive approach. This study was conducted in the district of Yogyakarta Special Region of Yogyakarta. Subjects of the study were all traditional barber in the study area. The sampling technique used purposive sampling with certain criteria under the terms set by the researchers. The data analysis used Spearman. The average age of respondents was 30.91, the number of consumers 31.28. Mean knowledge is 34.09, attitudes and behavior amounting to 31.06. Based on the rate most people are able to reach a price set by a razor because the tariff ranges between IDR 6,000-10,000 and an average tariff of IDR 8,230. On average shaver have 32 customers each month. There was a correlation between knowledge, attitude with behavior of a barber in the prevention of transmission of HIV/AIDS. There was a correlation between knowledge, attitude and behavior to conduct barber in the prevention of transmission of HIV/AIDS.

Abstract

Caries is a problem that often occurs in school-age children. Special Region of Yogyakarta is a province that has a high DMF-T index by 5.9 and exceeds the national DMF-T index. One of the efforts to improve dental and oral health of school-age children is the health education method using simulation methods, as well as simple techniques that may attract children's attention and be understood. The aim of the current study is to knowing the influence of oral and dental hygiene education intervention on dental and oral hygiene level at SD Negeri 3 Sleman students. This research used a kind of quasi experimental research with one group pretest posttest design. The research was done in SD Negeri 3 Sleman, the sample used was the 3rd graders from 57 students in 2017. The intervention was done by dental and oral hygiene education. Respondents were examined related to their dental and oral hygiene levels. It was measured by the PHP Index (Patient Hygiene Perfomance) before and after the intervention. According to results, The average score of respondents’dental and oral hygine pre test was 0.0823 and the average post test score of respondents’dental and oral hygiene was 1.4830. There is the difference of 1.4007. This shows an increament in oral hygiene of the respondent before and after the education. The results of statistical analysis show that there is an influence of oral and dental hygiene which pvalue 0,000 <0.05. Thus, there is a need for dental and mouth hygiene education to be conducted regularly and delivered with an interesting method.

Abstract

Health problems that occur in RT. 18 RW. 05 Lanjas Village are Diabetes Melitus. Lack of knowledge about types, symptoms, risk factors, and lack of awareness of healthy lifestyles such as enthusiastic intake of sweet foods, smoking, sedentary lifestyles, and extraordinary glycemic control are diabetes in RT. 18 RW. 05 Lanjas Village. Health promotion as a preventative and control measure for executives RT. 18, Kelurahan Lanjas is conducted through education about diabetes, using educational media in the form of flyers. The purpose of counseling is to increase knowledge about Diabetes Melitus and increase public awareness of RT. 18, Lanjas Village to implement a clean and healthy lifestyle. The method used in advisory activities consists of three phases, namely the preparation, implementation and evaluation. The results of the counseling activities were an increase in participants' knowledge before being given Diabetes Melitus counseling, the results of the pre-test of participants in the low category of 20% and the high category of 10%, while after being given counseling the post-test results of all participants were in the high category of 100 %. It is hoped that executives and related health centers will be able to carry out diabetes counseling activities on a periodically basis to prevent and manage diabetes.

Abstract

The corona virus (COVID-19) has become a worldwide case, one of the countries experiencing it is Indonesia. This COVID-19 caused many people to be infected and the impact of this outbreak caused economic losses. Indonesia The prevalence of COVID-19 in the Special Region of Yogyakarta City was confirmed at 16092 with the distribution of 68.15% of people being treated, 1.87% of people dying, and 29.98% of people recovering. The case of COVID-19 is still running and continues to increase accompanied by the prevalence rate of recovery but this is still a concern for the Yogyakarta City government, recorded 980 people being treated, 1879 people recovering, 92 people dying. This counseling aims to improve and change people's behavior in RT 033 in the use of masks and in the management of mask waste. There are still many people in RT 033 who have not implemented the use of masks and manage the mask waste themselves. The method used is divided into 3 stages, namely the planning stage there is program preparation, making media flyers and power points, and making observations in RT 033. The implementation stage includes counseling. The evaluation stage includes filling out the pre-test and post-test. Wilcoxon test results with a positive rank of 10, meaning that all participants in this counseling experienced a very significant increase in knowledge.

Abstract

Faktor risiko masalah gizi balita yang ditemukan di Dusun Gumulan meliputi kurangnya pengetahuan Ibu tentang pemberian MP ASI sesuai standar World Health Organization (WHO); kurangnya pemanfaatan bahan pangan lokal berkualitas untuk MP-ASI; banyaknya pemberian MP-ASI instan oleh Ibu pada balita; pemberian MP-ASI yang kurang sesuai dengan durasi, frekuensi, tekstur dan variasi sesuai tahapan usia dan kurangnya perhatian orangtua terkait tumbuh kembang balita. Namun disisi lain, Dusun Gumulan memiliki potensi sumber daya manusia (Kader Posyandu) dan sumber daya alam (daerah pertanian) yang dapat dioptimalkan untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut. Dengan demikian perlu adanya program pemberdayaan yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan masyarakat dengan mengoptimalkan Peran IbuMetode yang diterapkan adalah pelatihan dan pendampingan pembuatan MP ASI serta evaluasi pelaksanaan . Kelompok sasaran adalah Kader Posyandu dan Ibu Ibu PKK Dusun Gumulan Hasil program pemberdayaan cukup bagus dimana terdapat peningkatan pengetahuan warga setelah diberikan pelatihan pembuatan MP ASI pada warga. Sedangkan hasil penilaian keterampilan warga melalui lomba kreasi aneka olahan MP ASI menunjukkan bahwa secara keseluruhan warga telah mempu membuat olahan MP ASI dengan baik.Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa warga dapat memahami dengan baik materi yang disampaikan dalam pelatihan. Warga berharap ada kegiatan serupa yang dilakukan secara berkelanjutan.

Abstract

INCREASING FAMILY NUTRITION THROUGH HOME GARDENING. Stunting is one of a big health problem. Prevalence of the stunting in Indonesia based on Riskesdas 2018 was 12,8%, and compared to the number in Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta was 20%. Problem solving for stunting can be started since pregnancy period such as fulfill the nutrition needs. A family should provide food that contain a good nutrition for their member family, especially for fiber from fruits and vegetables. A home gardening was a method for increasing dietary fiber in a family. The purpose of the activity was to increasing knowledge of housewifes in Gumulan how to fulfill nutrition needs from home gardening.The method used for identifying skill housewifes in home gardening. The ending of the activity housewifes could plant fruits and vegetables and make home gardening in their home.
