Abstract

Risky sexual behavior is a health problem among adolescents whose cases continue to increase along with technological developments. It needs to be overcome by increasing self-efficacy among adolescents. The purpose of this study was to provide an overview and influence of the implementation of “PEKA BERAKSI” on self-efficacy in adolescents to prevent risky sexual behavior. This study used quasi-experimental design with pre and posttest without control group method. The study involved 275 students. The instrument used to measure the variables of self-efficacy was measured with the instrument developed by researchers. The variable risky sexual behaviour was measured with the instrument sexual risk survey. The finding showed that there was a significant difference in self-efficacy in adolescents in preventing risky sexual behavior before and after the intervention 0.001. The results of statistical tests found a p-value of 0.006 which means that there is a significant effect between the “PEKA BERAKSI” intervention and risky sexual behavior. Based on these results, recommended for health services to make the innovation program that focuses health education for adolescents and health promotion at schools. Furthermore, the results of this intervention as basic data in developing school health clinics and integrating subjects with health education for adolescents.

Abstract

Background. Based on comparison with adults, teenagers are more prone to a smartphone. negative impacts for adolescents who use smartphones excessively such as reduced social interactions, frequent delays in work, impaired eye health, and experiencing insomnia or sleep disorders. Poor quality can cause various physiological disorders and can affect the final score of the academic potential test. The purpose of this research is to identify the relationship between addiction to using smartphones and sleep quality in adolescents at SMAN 1 Manado. Method research cross-sectional. Determination of the sample size using the G*Power and obtaining 127 samples and sampling in this study using the Stratified random sampling. Data analysis used univariate analysis and bivariate analysis using chi-square. The results of the statistical test (p = 0.000 or p <0.05) showed the p-value = 0.001 and the OR (Odds Ratio) value of 4.557. The conclusion of this study is that there is a significant relationship between smartphone addiction to sleeping quality in adolescents at SMAN 1 Manado.

Abstract

Abstract: Background. The importance of knowledge, attitudes and skills of families with pulmonary TB patients in caring for sick family members in supporting the treatment process on a regular basis so that treatment can be successful. The purpose of this study was to describe the level of knowledge, attitudes and skills of families about care for patients with pulmonary TB in 7 working areas of the Talaud Islands District Health Center. This Study used descriptive/survey methods, the sample in this study amounted to 80 respondents obtained through random sampling that met the inclusion criteria. The results showed that family knowledge was in the sufficient category (50.0%), family attitudes were in the sufficient category (55%) and most family skills were in the sufficient category (62.5%). The conclusion is that the characteristics and levels of knowledge, attitudes and skills of families about care for patients with pulmonary TB in 7 working areas of the Talaud Islands District Health Center. Suggestions The importance of support and encouragement from families of patients with pulmonary TB in caring for sick family members in terms of reminding families to take medicine, reminding them to always wear masks, preparing for sufferers' needs and even being more active in taking patients for control to health services on a regular basis Keywords: Knowledge Level; Family Attitude; Family Skills; Tuberculosis

Abstract

Background: COVID-19 is part of a family of viruses that cause illnesses ranging from the flu to more severe illnesses such as MERS-CoV and SARS-CoV. The virus will spread even more if people don't implement 3M. One of the things that is needed to improve compliance related to 3M is to have good knowledge regarding COVID-19. Objective: This research aims to determine the relationship between knowledge about corona virus disease 2019 with the level of compliance with 3M (wearing masks, washing hands, and maintaining distance) in Pasar Baru Langoan. Methods: This research method is a quantitative research method and the sample in this study amounted to 92 respondents with a sampling technique is purposive sampling. The instrument used with the knowledge questionnaire about COVID-19 and  the Compliance questionnaire wearing masks, washing hands, and maintaining distance with the results of the validity and reability test results obtained r count > r table and Cronbach alpha value > 0,6 . Results: Based on the results of the study, it shows that there is a relationship between knowledge about corona virus disease 2019 with the level of compliance with 3M (wearing masks, washing hands, and maintaining distance) with p-value = 0.000. Conclusion: It can be concluded that knowledge about corona virus disease 2019 is related to the level of compliance with 3M (wearing masks, washing hands and maintaining distance) at Pasar Baru Langoan.Keywords: Knowledge; Compliance; COVID-19.
