Abstract

This paper describes the design and implementation of the deaf and blind communicator with the aim that they can communicate by using a Braille Codes per character and speech recognition using a computer. Communicator device is designed using AT89C51 microcontroller to change the characters that is sent by the computer into Braille code. The signal transmitted from the computer by hearing impairment through RS-232 serial interface with the help of driver IC ULN2803 to drive the solenoid. The end of the solenoid form a pattern of Braille code. Speech pattern recognition used are dictation mode with discrete speech method, whole word, large vocabulary and speaker dependent is designed with SAPI 5.1, Microsoft Speech Engine SDK 5.1 and Delphi software 6.0 to create an application program. On testing who performed indicate that the all the characters that is sent from keyboard can be converted become Braille Character who represented through the solenoid. While the recognition of sound patterns of the microphone most of the well can be translated into the characters displayed on a computer monitor. The success rate in speech recognition can be influenced by several factors such as differences in the sound at the time of training and at the time of dictation, noise from the environment and the quality of the microphone being used.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to design geometry learning media for early childhood. The tool designed is an interactive introduction tool, so it is hoped can attract early childhood children to learn to recognize and remember geometric patterns. The main brain of the system created is Arduino Mega with microcontroller ATMega2560. The tool created has two modes, namely learning mode and question mode. In learning mode, early childhood can insert geometry objects into the tool, then the tool will provide a description of the image on the LCD and the sound associated with the object entered. In question mode, early childhood will be challenged to enter the geometry objects into the tool according to the question, then the tool will determine whether the geometry entered is correct or false. This learning media is expected to help early childhood to be able to recognize and remember every form of geometry, where based on the results of the test, the selection mode on the tool was 100% successful, the process in the learning mode and the question mode had a success rate of more than 80%.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to assist the Government in overcoming the energy crisis, especially the problem of Public Road Lighting. In big cities it is very dominant to find a PJU lamp which is indeed a vital public facility, especially at night. The more placement points of PJU lights will certainly have an energy crisis, although there is a way to replace LED lights as a solution to overcome the energy crisis. on this basis the Researcher designed a PJU lamp with a solar cell power source to reduce the burden of the PLN which was already large enough to meet the electricity needs in big cities such as Jakarta, Bandung, Surabaya and other cities in Indonesia. So that these goals can be fulfilled, then the design of this tool uses a multi sensor so that the PJU lights turn on at night and there are objects around the PJU lights.

Abstract

Abstrak – Rumah minimalis memiliki ukuran ruang yang terbatas sehingga dalam penggunaan perabot maupun peralatan lainnya harus sangat efisien dan disesuaikan dengan ukuran ruang yang ada. Saat ini ukuran perabot rumah tangga relatif cukup besar dan setiap hanya memiliki satu fungsi saja. Berdasarkan masalah di atas perlu dibuat sebuah perabot multifungsi. Pada penelitian ini fokus pada perabot berupa meja yang dapat berubah ukurannya dan fungsinya sesuai kebutuhan. Meja yang dibuat dapat berubah fungsi menjadi lemari kecil, meja kecil dan meja komputer. Semua input perubahan dikontrol menggunakan aplikasi android yang dijalankan pada smartphone dan selanjutnya akan diteruskan ke mikrokontoler Arduino melalui komunikasi bluetooth. Mikrokontroler akan mengontrol servo, relay dan solenoid door lock serta akan membaca input dari sensor ultrasonic terkait pembukaan kunci lemari yang memanfaatkan solenoid door lock. Berdasarkan hasil analisis, terdapat beberapa kesalahan pada sudut servo pada saat percobaan namun meja multifungsi ini berhasil berubah fungsi pada setiap modenya. Abstract

The purpose of this study is to propose whether an average-based fuzzy time series model is appropriate for use in predicting the number of foreign tourists coming to West Java, Indonesia. Machine learning is a branch of artificial intelligence where machines are designed to learn on their own without human direction. One of the machine learning methods used by data science is for prediction processes, such as predicting the number of tourists. Tourism is one of the economic sectors that has a direct impact on the community's economy. Based on data from the Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS), the number of tourists coming to West Java Indonesia fluctuates, meaning that the number can increase and decrease every month and year. Changes in the number of tourists that fluctuate are one of the problems that have an impact on tourism actors. Therefore, the solution given to answer this problem is that an appropriate model is needed to predict the number of tourists visiting West Java. The contribution of this research is to help related parties in predicting the number of foreign tourists so that it can be used as one to make policies related to tourism preparation and planning efforts in West Java, Indonesia.  The method used in this research is a case study approach, where the case study is taken from data on foreign tourists visiting West Java from 2017 to 2020. For the prediction process, the method used is the fuzzy time series method and the average length-based algorithm as the determinant of the interval length. Effective interval length can affect prediction results with a higher level of accuracy. Based on the prediction test results, the Mean Absolute Percentage Error (MAPE) value is 14.71%. These results indicate that the fuzzy time series model based on the average interval length is good for prediction.

Abstract

This research aims to be able to meet the water supply of lettuce plants automatically by using three sensors such as soil moisture, water level, and water discharge. The goal is to provide water needs to plants automatically and regularly. The developed tool uses YL-96 sensor for soil moisture, HC-SR04 for water level and YF-S201 for water discharge. Sensor data is sent to the arduino to be processed using the fuzzy mamdani method so that these three data values affect the movement of the tap servo motor that flows to the lettuce plant. Fuzzy logic here as a decision maker from the value of 3 sensor data and then processed automatically by arduino using fuzzy mamdani to determine how many degrees the servo motor moves. The result is that the Lettuce Plant Water Needs Analysis System Automation Tool is able to maintain the water supply of lettuce plants and soil moisture ideally at 76% with a servo motor movement system success rate of 100%.

Abstract

Kebutuhan akan pengolahan data penduduk yang efisien menjadi semakin penting terutama bagi pengurus RT/RW yang berperan langsung dalam pelayanan masyarakat di tingkat lingkungan. Saat ini, pengelolaan data penduduk di tingkat RT/RW masih dilakukan secara manual melalui pencatatan dalam buku besar atau spreadsheet sederhana, sehingga rawan kesalahan dan kurang efisien. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan efektivitas pengelolaan data penduduk melalui penerapan aplikasi pengolahan data berbasis web. Metode pelaksanaan meliputi penyampaian materi secara interaktif, praktik langsung penggunaan aplikasi, pendampingan teknis, serta evaluasi menggunakan kuesioner skala Likert yang diisi oleh lima peserta pelatihan. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan tingkat kepuasan yang sangat tinggi dengan skor rata-rata 4,80 dari 5 (96%), yang menandakan bahwa pelatihan dan implementasi aplikasi mampu meningkatkan efisiensi dan akurasi pengelolaan data penduduk. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, kegiatan ini disimpulkan berhasil mencapai tujuan dan direkomendasikan untuk dilanjutkan melalui pengembangan fitur lanjutan serta pendampingan berkala.
