Abstract

Peran supervisor di industri hotel sangat vital karena berkaitan dengan optimal atau tidaknya kinerja bawahan di tengah pola kerja yang dinamis. Bawahan yang puas dengan supervisor mampu melakukan kinerja secara optimal, melakukan resiliensi terhadap pekerjaannya, membentuk komitmen kerja, hingga terstimulasi memiliki work engagement yang diwujudkan dalam dedikasi kerja yang tinggi. Hubungan yang baik antara supervisor dengan bawahannya mampu meningkatkan kinerja, bahkan menciptakan work-life-balance. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pelatihan supervisor skill terhadap kepuasan bawahan kepada supervisor operasional di Noormans Hotel Semarang. Hipotesis dalam penelitian ini adalah ada pengaruh pelatihan supervisor skill terhadap peningkatan kepuasan bawahan kepada supervisor Noormans Hotel Semarang. Subjek pada penelitian ini adalah karyawan department operation yang berjumlah 31 orang. Kepuasan bawahan kepada supervisor operasional Noormans Hotel Semarang diukur dengan skala kepuasan bawahan terhadap supervisor. Abstract

Komitmen organisasi merupakan hubungan, keyakinan, dan penerimaan individu terhadap nilai-nilai dalam organisasi yang diikutinya. Sedangkan kebahagiaan merupakan emosi positif yang mempengaruhi kualitas hidup seseorang dan dapat mempengaruhi peningkatan baik kinerja fisik dan psikologi seseorang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara kebahagiaan dengan komitmen organisasi pada anggota ormawa. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada ormawa Fakultas Psikologi Universitas katolik Widya Mandala Surabaya, dengan partisipan (N=35) anggota ormawa Fakultas Psikologi tahun 2017/2018. Pengambilan data dilakukan dengan teknik total population sampling. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan Skala Kebahagiaan dengan 6 dimensi, dan Skala Komitmen Organisasi dengan 3 dimensi dan dianalisis dengan menggunakan teknik statistika non-parametrik Kendall Tau B. Hasil pengolahan data mendapatkan sig sebesar 0,341 (p>0,05) yang berarti tidak ada hubungan antara kebahagiaan dengan komitmen organisasi pada Ormawa Fakultas Psikologi Universitas Katolik Widya Mandala Surabaya. Secara deskriptif tingkat kebahagiaan anggota ormawa tergolong sedang hingga sangat tinggi dan sebagian besar anggota ormawa memiliki tingkat kebahagiaan yang sedang yaitu sebesar 60% dan sebagian besar anggota ormawa memiliki tingkat komitmen organisasi yang sedang yaitu sebesar 45,7%.

Abstract

Nowadays married women who do not work nine-to-five and choose to become housewives can be productive by generating high-achieving and income-generating works, one of which is by opening a business at home. Housewives who open businesses at home are commonly referred to as mompreneurs. However, being a mompreneur is not easy. A mompreneur needs to strive for a balance between her work life and also her personal life to maintain the sustainability of her business and her family. This study aims to observe how the work-life balance of the mompreneur is depicted, where work-life balance is an individual effort to balance work life and personal life. This research was conducted using qualitative phenomenological methods that applied the theory-led thematic analysis technique. The informants of this study are mompreneurs, who have been managing a business in the house which is operated online or offline with the business age is <2 years, and have or are currently nurturing a child <18 years old. Informants were selected using purposive and snowball techniques. The results of this study illustrate that the two informants show that there are three aspects of work-life balance, namely time balance, involvement balance, and satisfaction balance. Additionally, this study also found a new aspect of work-life balance, namely emotional balance, and the factors that affect the work-life balance of the two informants are the characteristics of the informant's trait or attitude, continuous learning, social support, and work overload.

Abstract

Sexual harassment; teenager premarital sexual activities; and sexually transmitted infections (STIs) among teenager are remain alarmingly high for Indonesian youth. Actually, these three phenomena can be overcome by conduct sex education training. Researchers found that sex education training is still an effective way to prevent youth from those phenomenons and enhance the well being of them. The ideal sex educators are parents and teacher as a closest side to the youth. But, In Indonesia, sex educator still threat by many constraints such as belief of discussion about sex is taboo, lack of knowledge, and lack of confidence to conduct the training.This gap could overcome by developing program called Positive Youth Development Program. Design of this program consist of two topic, the sex education training for the youth, and training of trainer for the sex educator. This paper focused on how to preparing sex educators in case of conduct the Positive Youth Development Program. The discussion on this paper come out with two topics: (1) What is Positive Youth Development Program: concept and training topic and (2) how to be a good sex educator: how to design the program, and how to deliver the positive youth development program.

Abstract

Optimal service quality is related to customer satisfaction which can have an impact on organization's existence. All industrial sectors such as educational institutions, including PTS X, need to optimize their service quality. Results of preliminary research showed that students as the frontliner users of PTS X General Administration Bureau evaluated the bureau as having less-than-optimal quality of service. This study aimed to examine and describe the quality of service of the PTS X General Administration Bureau. Participants were PTS X students who were recruited using incidental sampling technique. The scale of service quality, comprising different aspects such as tangible appearance, reliability, responsiveness, assurance, and empathy, was used as a method of data collection, meanwhile descriptive analysis was used as data analysis technique. Result showed that the quality of service of PTS X General Administration Bureau was perceived at a high level, meaning that students as the service users provided a good evaluation to the service. This was different from the result of preliminary study. Different findings may be due to the implementation of new information technology system as well as self-improvement efforts made continuously by PTS X. Despite this, the head of PTS X General Administration Bureau still needs to optimize human resources within the organization, including the frontliner staff. The management of PTS X should develop the quality of service not only within the General Administration Bureau, but also in other bureau and departements of PTS X.

Abstract

Kehidupan mahasiswa akhir tidak hanya dikelilingi oleh banyaknya beban tugas dan pengerjaan skripsi atau tugas akhir saja, namun juga dihadapkan pada pilihan untuk memilih masa depan. Jika mahasiswa akhir tersebut, tidak dapat menentukan bidang karir yang akan ditekuni di masa depan maka akan timbul perasaan bimbang dan ragu pada pilihan karirnya. Hal ini disebut dengan career indecision. Terdapat beberapa faktor yang mempengaruhi kebimbangan karir pada mahasiswa akhir, salah satunya adalah efikasi diri pada bidang karir yang disebut juga Career Decision Making Self-Efficacy (CDMSE). Dengan metode penelitian kuantitatif, peneliti menyebarkan kuisioner melalui google form dan didapatkan total 79 responden mahasiswa akhir yang tersebar di beberapa fakultas UKWMS. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui ada atau tidak hubungan antara Career Indecision dan juga Career Decision Making Self-Efficacy (CDMSE). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, nilai sig sebesar 0,000 (p < 0,05) yang berarti ada hubungan yang negatif antara Career Decision Making Self-Efficacy dengan Career Indecision pada mahasiswa akhir Universitas Katolik Widya Mandala Surabaya. Artinya, semakin tinggi tingkat kebimbangan mahasiswa mengenai karirnya, maka semakin rendah keyakinan pada kemampuannya di bidang karir yang akan ditekuni. Begitu pula sebaliknya, semakin rendah tingkat kebimbangan mahasiswa akan karirnya, maka mahasiswa semakin yakin dengan kemampuannya di bidang karir yang ditekuni. Hasil ini didukung dengan sumbangan efektif yang diberikan Career Decision Making Self-Efficacy (CDMSE) terhadap Career Indecision (CI)  sebesar 66,6%, yang artinya CDMSE memiliki peran yang kuat untuk menentukan bimbang tidaknya mahasiswa tingkat akhir di Universitas Katolik Widya Mandala Surabaya.
