Abstract

Safety behavior has an important role to support the physical and psychological health of individuals during a pandemic as well as in adapting to a new normal life order. This study aims to identify patterns of safety behavior displayed by the community, especially workers in the new normal. The variable in this study, namely safety behavior with descriptive quantitative research methods. The survey was used as a data collection method with 103 subjects as the research subjects working in normal times. The results showed that safety behavior was in the High and Very High categories where the subject was able to display safety behavior when interacting in public places, workplaces, and in the home environment. Subjects not only demonstrate compliance with safety regulations and procedures, but also participate in encouraging the creation of a safe work environment to avoid the spread of the corona virus when entering the new normal. Workers should maintain safety behavior in their daily life, and the results of this study provide information for industry or companies to determine follow-up plans and strategies for managing occupational safety and health in the new normal.Perilaku keselamatan memiliki peran penting untuk mendukung kesehatan fisik dan psikologis individu selama masa pandemik maupun dalam adaptasi tatanan hidup normal baru. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk  mengidentifikasi pola perilaku keselamatan yang ditampilkan oleh masyarakat, khususnya para pekerja di masa normal baru. Variabel dalam penelitian ini, yaitu perilaku keselamatan dengan metode penelitian kuantitaif deskriptif. Survey digunakan sebagai metode pengumpulan data dengan subjek penelitian para pekerja yang bekerja di masa normal baru berjumlah 103 subjek. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perilaku keselamatan berada pada kategori Tinggi dan Sangat Tinggi dimana subjek mampu menampilkan perilaku keselamatan ketika berinteraksi di tempat umum, tempat kerja, dan di lingkungan rumah. Subjek tidak hanya menunjukkan kepatuhan terhadap peraturan dan prosedur keselamatan, tetapi juga berpartisipasi dalam mendorong terciptanya lingkungan kerja yang aman agar terhindar dari penyebaran virus corona ketika memasuki masa normal baru. Para pekerja sebaiknya tetap mempertahankan perilaku keselamatan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari, serta hasil penelitian ini menjadikan informasi bagi industri atau perusahaan untuk menentukan rencana tindak lanjut serta strategi pengelolaan keselamatan dan kesehatan kerja di masa normal baru.

Abstract

Currently, millennial generation employees are the working group that dominates employment in Indonesia. Millennial generation employees are characterized by their awareness of getting work-life balance. This is in line with the survey results which show that the majority of millennial employees want a balance between their personal and work lives. The opportunity to apply flexible work arrangements is believed to have an effect on employees' work-life balance conditions. In the COVID-19 pandemic situation, the application of working from home makes implementing flexible work arrangements a challenge to be able to get a work-life balance. This is because the actual working hours exceed the supposed working hours. The purpose of this study is to analyze the effect of implementing flexible work arrangements on work-life balance conditions for millennial employees. This research is a quantitative research with work-life balance as dependent variable and flexible work arrangement as independent variable. The data collection method used a Likert scale with five alternative answer choices. The research subjects are millennial generation employees who work with a hybrid system or a combination of work from home and work from office. Data analysis used non-parametric Kendall's tau-b correlation test because one of the assumption tests was not met. The results showed a significance value of 0.332 > 0.05, which means that there is no influence between flexible work arrangements and work-life balance. There are other factors that are more personal in nature that can support the achievement of work-life balance for millennial generation employees.

Abstract

In the post-pandemic era, current geoeconomic and geopolitical changes will have global, regional, and local impacts. Companies must adapt to rapid changes. This condition causes a person to experience disturbances or even be able to adapt and see opportunities in the new world order in the company. The ability to think reflectively that oneself is crucial, understand life, and determine broader goals for life with meaning is important in responding to situations. The millennial generation dominates the workforce in Indonesia, so millennial employees need to have meaning to support the organization's strategic plan in overcoming difficult situations. This service aims to provide interventions to increase meaning in millennial generation employees. The solution method is to provide an understanding of the meaning and a brief meaning toolkit online for millennial employees based on the Meaning toolkit from Mcquaid & Peggy and developed according to Indonesian Culture. Measurements were carried out by pre-test and post-test with The Work and Meaning Inventory (WAMI) instruments. The intervention results showed increased meaning among participants, although not high, with three sub-toolkits in short sessions and through online media. There is the lowest question, which is related to individual goals and organizational goals. The role of the organization is needed in building meaning in the organization. Based on the initial results of this short intervention, the meaning module can be developed into a more complete sub-toolkit and implemented face-to-face for a longer duration.

Abstract

The declining mental health condition due to the Covid-19 pandemic raises the need for counseling. The pandemic situation and the era of digitalization have encouraged the re-emergence of online counseling services know as e-counseling. The limitations of the online counseling process do not reduce consumers' intention to use this service. Intention to use e-counseling services can be determined by positive thoughts and perceptions of the information provided by individuals or organizations who have credibility and can be trusted (opinion leaders) regarding the quality of services offered. This study aims to analyze the relationship between the perception of opinion leaders and purchase intentions on e-counseling services. This research is a quantitative research with purposive sampling technique. Data from 101 research subjects were processed using Kendall's Tau B non-parametric statistics. A significant value of 0.000 (p <0.05) indicates there is a positive relationship between perceptions of opinion leaders and purchase intention with an effective contribution of 33.5%.Kondisi kesehatan mental yang menurun akibat pandemi Covid-19 memunculkan kebutuhan melakukan konseling. Situasi pandemi dan era digitalisasi mendorong munculnya kembali jasa konseling secara online yang dikenal dengan e-counseling. Keterbatasan proses konseling yang dilakukan secara online tidak menurunkan niat konsumen untuk menggunakan jasa ini (purchase intention). Niat menggunakan jasa konseling online dapat ditentukan oleh pemikiran dan persepsi yang positif atas informasi yang diberikan oleh individu atau organisasi yang memiliki kredibilitas dan dapat dipercaya (opinion leader) mengenai kualitas jasa yang ditawarkan. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisa hubungan persepsi terhadap opinion leader dan purchase intention pada jasa konseling online. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan teknik pengambilan sampel purposive sampling. Data dari 101 subyek penelitian diolah menggunakan statistik non-parametrik Kendall’s Tau B. Nilai signifikan sebesar 0,000 (p <0,05) menunjukkan ada hubungan positif antara persepsi terhadap opinion leader dan purchase intention dengan sumbangan efektif sebesar 33,5%.

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to measure salesperson’s self-efficacy and communication skills in selling process based on the communication training given. The subjects in this research were insurance salespersons who deal directly with consumers (financial advisor) in selling life insurance products. The research design was an experimental design with pretest-posttest control group, using communication training on one group (experimental group) and not in the other group (control group). The data collection conducted using interviews and questionnaires then processed using mixed ANOVA analysis. Based on the results (p < .05) it is revealed that there is a difference of self-efficacy between the experimental group (N = 22) and control group (N = 22) during pre-and post communication training (F = 9.910), where the increase of self-efficacy in the experimental group after post communication training is higher. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengukur keyakinan diri wiraniaga terhadap kemampuan komunikasi yang dimilikinya dalam melakukan proses menjual. Subyek pada penelitian ini adalah wiraniaga asuransi yang berhadapan langsung dengan konsumen (financial advisor atau penasehat keuangan) dalam memasarkan produk asuransi jiwa. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen dengan rancangan pretest-posttest control group, dengan pemberian pelatihan komunikasi pada salah satu kelompok (kelompok eksperimen) dan tidak pada kelompok yang lain (kelompok kontrol). Pengambilan data dilakukan menggunakan wawancara dan kuesioner, dan hasil akan diolah menggunakan analisis anava campuran (mixed anova). Berdasarkan hasil olah data (p < ,05) diketahui bahwa terdapat perbedaan keyakinan diri antara kelompok eksperimen (N = 22) dan kelompok kontrol (N = 22) pada saat pra dan pasca pelatihan komunikasi (F = 9.910), dimana peningkatan keyakinan diri pada kelompok eksperimen pasca pelatihan komunikasi lebih tinggi.
