Abstract

Abstract

HNP is a degenerative process that causes decreased flexibility and thinning of the intervertebral disc nucleus pulposus resulting in tearing of the annulus fibrosus which causes low back pain which can interfere with functional activities in the elderly. The purpose of this study was to determine Management Physiotherapy of Hernia Nucleus Pulposus Lumbar Conditions For Increase Functional Ability Elderly With TENS Modalities And Core Stability. The type of research used is quantitative with a descriptive approach, namely a case study using 3 patient samples. Treatment was carried out 6 times within a period of 3 weeks. The measuring instrument used is the Oswestry Disability Index to determine the functional abilities of the elderly. The results of the study obtained after evaluation were an increase in the functional abilities of the elderly after providing interventions in the form of TENS and Core Stability. Abstract

Chronic Ankle Instability (CAI) is a condition resulting from previous ankle injuries, which can lead to damage to the ligaments and other structures of the ankle. This condition often results in deterioration and is known as chronic ankle instability. This study aims to improve stability in cases of Chronic Ankle Instability using the modalities of Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation (TENS) and Star Excursion Balance Exercise (SEBE). This research employs a descriptive quantitative approach with a case study design to determine the benefits of TENS and SEBE modalities. Based on inclusion and exclusion criteria, 3 respondents were identified. The study results showed that the highest incidence of positive CAI was at the age of 16 years (66.3%), with all participants being male (100%). The application of TENS and SEBE modalities was found to improve stability in cases of Chronic Ankle Instability.

Abstract

Work craft sasirangan especially those related to human strength and endurancein carrying out their work can cause problems that have so far been ignored, includingback pain, neck pain, wrist pain, which are called musculoskeletal disorders. So thatmusculoskeletal disorders be one reason happening accident work. Objective Thisresearch is to find out musculoskeletal disorders in sasirangan craftsmen. Thisresearch was conducted in Sasirangan Sungai Jingah Village, Kec. North Banjarmasinwith the method descriptively using the Nordic Body Map questionnaire measuring tool. The results showed that the average age of the sasirangan craftsmen was 35 years, based on the gender distribution, the most experienced musculoskeletal disorders werewomen with a percentage of 56.8%, based on the distribution of the average workingperiod of 5 years, based on the distribution of average working duration. 7 hours/daywith a percentage of 45.9%, based on the distribution of the average working positionsitting on the floor with a percentage of 54.0%, and based on the distribution ofrespondents who experience musculoskeletal disoders an average of 49.3 with aninterpretation of mild complaints, usually complain of pain in the lumbar area.

Abstract

Elderly would decreased in body physiology, especially those that affect balance control, such as decreased muscle strength, changes in posture, fat levels that accumulate in certain areas, decreased proprioception and visual impairment. This results in poor balance control for the elderly, which can increase the risk of falls in the elderly. The method used is a descriptive survey. Meanwhile, for the qualitative (random) research design, the target of the activity was aimed at the adult and elderly community at the Medical Rehabilitation of Ulin Hospital, Banjarmasin, as many as 34 people. Meanwhile, there were 11 active respondents for balance checks. Based on the results of the research that had been carried out, it was found that the average age of middle age was 52.4 years with a total of 7 people and the elderly was 63.75 years with a total of 4 people. Meanwhile, in the results of the single leg stance, it was found that the risk level for falls was in the single leg stance open eyes with an average age of 58.9 years, a total of 9 people with an average standing time of 26.3 seconds. In the single leg stance closed eyes, the level of risk of a risky fall was obtained with an average age of 57.7 years, a total of 10 people with a standing time on one leg of 2.9 seconds. Conclusion: Respondents experienced balance disorders with a risk level of risky falls based on the single leg stance open eyes test with the number 9 people with an average age of 58.9 years closed eyes with 10 respondents with an average age of 57.7 years.
