Abstract

One type of MSME that has experienced a decline in income is the restaurant business. This study aims to identify and analyze the restaurant business development strategy in Sukoharjo Regency during the pandemic. The respondents in this study were restaurant businesses registered with the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) of Sukoharjo Regency. The data analysis used is EFI Matrix, EFE and SWOT Analysis. The result of this study is the score obtained on the EFI Matrix is 2.92. While the score from the EFE Matrix is 2.85. The score shows that the restaurant business in Sukoharjo Regency is in quadrant 1 position and the SWOT analysis compiled from external internal factors produces 4 strategies, namely SO Strategy, WO Strategy, ST Strategy, and WT Strategy. Keywords: Restaurant, Strategy, SWOT Analysis.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the outcomes of the Alignment activity implemented in the Marketing Department of PT X, a batik manufacturing company located in Central Java, in aligning the company’s vision and mission and enhancing team work effectiveness. The study employs a quantitative research method using a Likert-scale questionnaire and open-ended questions administered to 11 employees who participated in the alignment activity. Data analysis was conducted through the calculation of mean scores, evaluation of open-ended responses, and validity testing using Pearson correlation. The results indicate that the alignment activity received a positive response, with the highest mean score observed in the internal communication aspect (4.37), followed by the collaboration aspect (91.27). However, the vision and mission understanding aspect obtained the lowest score (2.73), indicating the need for improvement in the methods used to communicate the company’s strategic direction. The validity test results show that five out of six questionnaire items were valid, while one item was found to be invalid. Overall, the alignment activity proved to be effective in improving employee communication, engagement, and collaboration; however, further reinforcement is required in enhancing employees’ understanding of the company’s vision and mission to ensure optimal achievement of strategic objectives.

Abstract

The cutting blade used in pellet production machines directly affects the dimensional consistency of produced pellets. Polymer-based blades manufactured using 3D printing offer advantages in production cost and fabrication flexibility, but still have limitations in mechanical durability under repeated use. This study aimed to develop a cutting blade made of PLA (Polylactic Acid) using 3D printing technology with a 2 mm stainless steel reinforcement at the blade tip, and to evaluate its effect on pellet length stability in a pellet production machine. The blade was designed using SolidWorks and fabricated using Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM) with a 0.4 mm nozzle, 0.22 mm layer height, 100% infill, 60°C bed temperature, 210°C extruder temperature, and 4500 mm/min printing speed. Testing was conducted using a pellet machine operating at 70 rpm for 6 cycles, with 200 g of feed material per cycle and 8 pellet samples measured in each cycle. The results showed that the full PLA blade experienced an increase in average pellet length from 4.99 mm to 7.05 mm, while the hybrid blade only increased from 3.78 mm to 4.22 mm. One-Way ANOVA results indicated that testing cycles significantly affected pellet length in both the full PLA blade (F = 365.015; p < 0.001) and the hybrid blade (F = 61.255; p < 0.001). The study concludes that stainless steel reinforcement resulted in more stable pellet dimensions during repeated testing, compared to full PLA blades.
