Abstract

An instrument for data collection needs to be analyzed before it is used in conducting research. The most pivotal characteristic of the instrument analysis exposes that researchers require to examine the validity and reliability. Pedagogical Content Knowledge (PCK) constitutes an academic construction that depicts an idea for stimulating individuals to learn. This present study aims to construct a PCK analysis-based research instrument for the natural science teachers of Islamic junior high schools, which is integrated with Islamic contents. A qualitative descriptive approach was employed in this study to explain the procedures for constructing the instrument. The procedures involved determining indicators, constructing a questionnaire as the research instrument, and measuring the validity, reliability, usability, and meaningfulness of the well-designed instrument. The research findings reveal that the development of the PCK analysis-based instrument dealt with three indicators, namely: knowledge of learners, knowledge of planning and designing, and knowledge of classroom instruction. Furthermore, the validity of the instrument demonstrated a positive result with minor revision, whereas the reliability with the Cronbach’s alpha coefficient showed that it was reliable. Meanwhile, considering the results of the usability and meaningfulness tests, it was attained that the PCK analysis-based instrument integrated with Islamic contents was commented at a very positive level.

Abstract

AbstractRelations between science and religion are issues that have been developing for a long time, especially in Indonesia. Science as a pillar of human civilization cannot be separated from the attention of religions in the world. In Indonesia, efforts to establish the color of religion in its main education about scientific integration have been a concern in several Islamic universities. The purpose of this study was to find out the concepts and strategies of science and religion relations in learning in madrasas. This research method uses descriptive methods. The researcher measured the relation between science and religion by adapting to the approach developed by Ian G. Barbour which was divided into four: conflict; independence; dialog; and integration. The researcher found that the MTsN Kota Salatiga in the concept component was at the level of integration, but the strategy component was still at the level of dialogue. Whereas in the MTs NU Kota Salatiga it is known that the concept components and strategies are still at the level of dialogue.AbstrakRelasi ilmu dan agama adalah isu yang sudah cukup lama berkembang, utamanya di Indonesia. Ilmu sebagai pilar peradaban manusia, tidak dapat lepas dari perhatian agama-agama di dunia. Di Indonesia, upaya tentang adanya warna agama dalam pendidikan utamanya tentang integrasi keilmuan telah menjadi perhatian di beberapa perguruan tinggi islam. Tujuan dalam penelitian ini adalah, ingin mengetahui konsep dan strategi relasi sains dan agama dalam pembelajaran di madrasah. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif. Peneliti menakar relasi sains dan agama tersebut dengan mengadaptasi dari pendekatan yang dikembangkan oleh Ian G. Barbour yang terbagi atas empat: konflik; independensi; dialog; dan integrasi. Peneliti menemukan bahwa pada MTsN Kota Salatiga dalam komponen konsep sudah pada tataran integrasi, namun pada komponen strategi masih pada tataran dialog. Sedangkan pada MTs NU Kota Salatiga diketahui bahwa pada komponen konsep, dan strategi masih pada tataran dialog.

Abstract

The Science Kids Community program is implemented using Group Investigation (GI) model which is part of cooperative learning. This study aims to explain the implementation of the Science Kids Community program based on GI and also to determine the results of improving problem-solving skills in students. This research is focused on the implementation of science learning in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI) students. The method used in this research is descriptive with qualitative approach. Instruments in this study, using questionnaire, problem solving test, and interview. Subjects in this study were the students of 5th class MI NU Miftahul Ulum 2 Kudus. The implementation of the Science Kids Community program with the GI model provides wider opportunities and authority for students to jointly solve problems of science learning. The results of problem solving skills, focused on 2 groups of students, namely students with high motivation category (category A) and students with moderate motivation category (category B). Obtained results, in Category A students: the maximum at the stage identify the problem, define the purpose, and execute the strategy. While the category B students, the new maximum at the stage of implementing the strategy. This can make the input for teachers, to more often implement group-based learning model / community to be able to improve students problem solving skills

Abstract

Saat ini lingkungan sudah menunjukkan banyak kerusakan, utamanya hutan. Hal ini sangat dipengaruhi oleh tindakan manusia sebagai pengguna. Seperti halnya pembakaran hutan, pertambangan, penebangan secara liar, dan bahkan tindakan sepele yang seringkali kita abaikan sebenarnya sangat memberikan efek buruk bagi lingkungan jika terus menerus kita lakukan seperti penggunaan kertas (termasuk tissue) yang bebas dan berlebihan. Mahasiswa khususnya mahasiswa Tadris IPA yang diharapkan dapat menjadi pelopor utamanya dalam menjaga kelestarian alam ini, dan menjadi subjek sekaligus tolok ukur dalam penelitian ini. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis tingkat kesadaran mahasiswa Tadris IPA pada lingkungan khususnya dalam mengaplikasikan pembelajaran tentang paperless di IAIN Salatiga. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Analisis yang digunakan dengan bantuan instrument berupa lembar refleksi yang diberikan kepada 22 mahasiswa Jurusan Tadris IPA FTIK IAIN Salatiga yang diambil secara acak dari semester 3, semester 5, dan semester 7 Tahun Ajaran 2018/2019. Dari data yang didapatkan, tingkat kesadaran lingkungan pada mahasiswa Tadris IPA dalam mengaplikasikan pembelajaran tentang paperless masih tergolong rendah dengan persentase nilai rata-rata yaitu 41,8%. Hal ini disebabkan oleh berbagai aspek termasuk diantaranya adalah pola hidup mahasiswa baik didalam maupun diluar kelas. Sehingga kedepannya diharapkan mahasiswa Tadris IPA sebagai pelopor konservasi lingkungan melalui pembelajaran IPA dapat meningkatkan sikap peduli lingkungan pada mahasiswa Tadris IPA IAIN Salatiga.
