Abstract

A mosque is a place of worship that can be used for religious activities, especially Islamic education activities. This research objective was to discuss how the efforts of Al-Jihad Mosque foundation management in realizing the taklim assembly activities as Islamic education for the Medan Baru community. This research design was field research with a descriptive qualitative approach. The research subjects consisted of the head of da'wah (Islamic teachings) and education, treasurer, mosque takmir, and Medan Baru people. Data collection techniques used interview techniques, observation, and documentation. The data that has been collected was then reduced and presented, and conclusions were drawn. The results showed that the Al-Jihad mosque’s administrators were very active in realizing the taklim assembly to the maximum extent. It was evidenced by the busy schedule of the taklim assembly in a week. The scheduled research material had Islamic scientific studies such as fiqh, interpretation, monotheism, history, and other materials. The implementation of the taklim assembly began after the congregational prayer guided by the mosque takmir. The taklim assembly at the Al-Jihad mosque received a positive response and community support. Islamic youth communities and organizations also implemented religious activities, especially education at the Al-Jihad Mosque.

Abstract

The implementation of the 2013 Curriculum until now is increasingly reaping problems. Although this curriculum has been running for seven years, it seems that this curriculum still has obstacles in some schools, especially in the field of Islamic religious education studies. This research aims to find out and examine the difficulties experienced by PAI teachers in implementing the 2013 Curriculum in the city of Medan. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach that is studied through literature studies. Data collection was obtained through interview techniques with PAI teachers in Medan. The results of this study show that there are several difficulties experienced by PAI teachers in the implementation of the 2013 Curriculum, including lack of understanding of the teacher itself with the content of the 2013 curriculum as a whole, inadequate facilities as a means of support in supporting learning. Some learning materials require a time allocation that is more than the specified time. The solution offered in this case first; increased knowledge and application of the 2013 curriculum for teachers. It can be done by following open discussions, training and other intellectual activities. In addition, teachers are required to be creative in designing learning through innovative media and good learning strategies and methods.

Abstract

Abstract: The theory of learning in the world of education is many in number, one that is often and commonly used especially in Indonesia is the theory of cognitive learning. Cognitive theory is one of the other theories that are quite effective in its application. This study aims to examine the application of cognitive learning theory in PAI subjects at junior high school at Bina Insan Batang Kuis Integrated Islamic School. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach that is studied through library studies. The results of this study showed that cognitive learning theory is effective to be applied in junior high school SDIT Bina Insan. Such effectiveness must be supported by the creativity of educators by using strategies, methods and media so that cognitive learning theories can be applied in accordance with expectations. Keywords: Theory, Cognitivism, Applications, Learning Abstrak: Teori belajar dalam dunia pendidikan banyak jumlahnya, salah satu yang sering dan lazim digunakan khususnya di Indonesia adalah teori belajar kognitif. Teori tersebut merupakan satu diantara teori-teori lain yang cukup efektif dalam aplikasinya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji penerapan teori belajar kognitif pada mata pelajaran PAI tingkat SMP di Sekolah Islam Terpadu Bina Insan Batang Kuis. Penenlitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif yang dikaji melalui studi pustaka. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa teori belajar kognitif efektif untuk diterapkan di sekolah SDIT Bina Insan tingkat SMP. Efektivitas tersebut harus didukung dengan kreativitas pendidik dengan menggunakan strategi, metode dan media agar teori belajar kognitif dapat diaplikasikan sesuai dengan harapan. Abstract

An individual's self-development determines how his or her personality goes forward. Today, many of these individuals do not know the context of self-development in Islam. This article aims to review and discuss the concept of self-development in Islam as well as its development solutions. This research uses qualitative methods with a literature study approach. That is by describing the findings through literature or related scientific journals. Data analysis techniques use content analysis through relevant books as well as scientific references from several appropriate journals. Based on the description of this research, it can be known that the results of the study show that self-development in Islam is something that must be done as a form of gratitude and responsibility as caliph on earth to Allah SWT. In this case, to develop oneself into a better person in Islam is to begin with maintaining the physical body physically and spiritually. Then continue through the process of self-recognition and potential and develop it in order to produce a positive achievement or thing towards better change. In order to develop themselves well, individuals can do several things, namely; Talk about yourself, appreciate time, get out of the safe zone, continue to explore the potential in yourself, the motivation to rise to become a better person and be able to appreciate yourself and others.
