Abstract

In less than 4 years since its introductions, Twitter has become the fastest growing social networking tool. Working very much the same as a blog, it has been used widely by businesses as well as individuals to share information, introduce new product/idea, etc.  Using Twitter,  a person  has the choice whether or not to  forward  (re-tweet)  the message from/to his/her friends or social networks that he/she belongs to. The result of online survey revealed some factors (taste, price, availability, packaging and image), which affect the decision to re-tweet or not an information pertaining new food product following the Diffusion of Innovations model.  On the other hand, the independent and autonomous behavior of members in a social network such as Twitter satisfies the characteristics of Agent Based Simulation model. Using NetLogo software, this paper aims to  disclose  the result  of  an  Agent Based Simulation model which showed when and why a person will or will not re-tweet a message that he/she received from his/her friends or social networks that he / she belongs to by applying the concept of Diffusion of Innovations Keywords: twitter, social networking, agent based simulation, diffusion of innovation, NetLogo

Abstract

Abstract.Sharia banking in Indonesia is currently under growing phase. In year 2008-2012, the growth of assets, financings, and deposits increased more than 30 pecent. With its 200 million people, Indonesia is one of the countries with the biggest muslim population in the world. This shows that sharia banking industry in Indonesia has a great potential to grow even more. On the other hand, banking penetration level and sharia banking market share of Indonesia ranked last among countries with major muslim population. Based on statistics issued by OJK, sharia banking in Indonesia spent around 392 billion rupiahs annualy for promotion. This should contribute positive effect toward awareness and perception of people in sharia banking. One way to monitor promotion’s performance is by extracting and analyzing opinion and sentiment of people in the form of social media.The methodology used in this final project is divided into three parts: survey, crawling to social media, and sentiment analysis. Survey is performed to gain the insight of public opinion regarding concepts or terminologies related to sharia bank. This insight will become the input for crawling activity to social media.The result of activity in mentions from social media will then be processed using sentiment analysis to observe public’s sentiment of sharia bank. This research shows the facts that awareness level of public in sharia bank is still low, and people mostly relate sharia bank with Islam and its law. Sentiment analysis showed that people has positive sentiment tendency for sharia bank, but the low number of mentions gained made it difficult to gain more insight.Based on the result of this research, it is recommended for sharia banking industry to focus in raising awareness level of public to sharia bank. Hopefully, the insight gained from this project can be used as an input for designing marketing strategy for sharia banking industry in Indonesia. Abstract

Pertumbuhan ekonomi yang mengalami perlambatan dan ancaman kerusakan lingkungan akibat aktivitas pembangunan menuntut pelaku jasa konstruksi melakukan transformasi bisnis yang ramah lingkungan dan sosial. Penelitian ini ditujukan untuk menguji efektivitas komitmen penyedia jasa dalam mengelola risiko lingkungan dan sosial terhadap kinerja proyek melalui pencapaian kinerja sosial dengan PLS-SEM. Faktor-faktor manajemen dalam organisasi penyedia jasa digunakan dalam pengujian ini, yaitu kinerja organisasi/manajemen dan kinerja estimasi melalui nilai penawaran. Hasil penelitian menunjukan pengaruh yang signifikan dari ketiga variabel pada masing-masing komponen. Namun ketiganya bekerja secara independen dan tidak saling mempengaruhi sehingga mengurangi ketergantungan masing-masing terhadap komitmen pengelolaan risiko. Perlu penguatan aturan hukum tentang status dan kewajiban tanggungjawab sosial dan lingkungan proyek. Lebih lanjut, kinerja sosial yang dicapai terbukti berpengaruh dalam meningkatkan kinerja waktu dan biaya proyek. Hasil penelitian ini diharapkan dapat membantu penelitian selanjutnya untuk menghasilkan kerangka perlindungan lingkungan dan sosial proyek yang tepat dan berkeadilan dalam mendukung pembangunan nasional yang berkelanjutan.
