Abstract

Peran keluarga sangat diperlukan untuk membangun minat dan semangat anak dalam belajar. Minat adalah semangat yang mendorong orang untuk melakukan apa yang diinginkannya. Belajar pada hakikatnya adalah suatu proses kegiatan yang kesinambungan dalam rangka mengubah tingkah laku siswa secara konstruktif, intelijen, dan akhlak mulia, serta keterampilan yang dibutuhkan dirinya, masyarakat, bangsa dan negara. Tujuan pengabdian ini adalah untuk mengungkap peran orang tua dalam meningkatkan minat belajar anak usia 6-12 tahun di Alak Kota Kupang. Uraian penelitian ini adalah dideskripsikan secara kualitatif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan teknik wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa orang tua terus berusaha sesuai dengan kondisi sekitar. Beberapa orang tua telah menunjukkan hal tersebut untuk meningkatkan minat belajar anaknya baik di rumah maupun di sekolah. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa orang tua mempunyai peranan yang sangat penting dalam tumbuh kembang anak, khususnya dalam hal pendidikan.

Abstract

The participation of fathers in church services has become a concern among church leaders. This research aims to explore the strategy of the Fellowship Development Unit (UPP) in increasing the attendance of fathers at worship. This research aims to determine the strategies used by UPP to increase the attendance of fathers at worship services. This research is a library research. Data was collected through various journals and information related to the title of the article. The results of the research show that UPP's strategy in increasing the attendance of fathers at worship includes: (1) forming small groups of fathers, (2) organizing special activities for fathers, (3) increasing the involvement of fathers in church services, and (4) developing the leadership of fathers. The factors that influence the success of this strategy are the leader's commitment, congregation support, and the example of the fathers. The findings of this research can provide input for churches in designing development programs for fathers to increase their participation in worship and church life.

Abstract

Penelitian ini berjudul "Implementasi Pelayanan Pastoral dalam Pembentukan Karakter Spiritual Jemaat Berbasis Pendidikan Kristen di GMIT Lanud Eltari." Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengevaluasi bagaimana pelayanan pastoral dapat berperan dalam pembentukan karakter spiritual jemaat melalui pendekatan pendidikan Kristen di GMIT Lanud Eltari. Inti permasalahan yang diangkat adalah efektivitas pelayanan pastoral dalam meningkatkan karakter spiritual jemaat, yang mencakup aspek-aspek seperti keimanan, ketaatan, dan pengabdian dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara mendalam dengan pastor dan jemaat, observasi partisipatif, serta analisis dokumen terkait. Analisis data dilakukan dengan pendekatan deskriptif-analitik untuk mengidentifikasi tema-tema utama yang muncul dari data lapangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pelayanan pastoral yang berfokus pada pendidikan Kristen secara signifikan berkontribusi dalam pembentukan karakter spiritual jemaat. Pendekatan yang dilakukan meliputi pengajaran Alkitab yang mendalam, konseling pastoral, dan kegiatan-kegiatan rohani yang mendukung pengembangan spiritual jemaat. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah bahwa implementasi pelayanan pastoral yang berbasis pendidikan Kristen di GMIT Lanud Eltari berhasil membentuk karakter spiritual jemaat yang lebih kuat dan kokoh, serta meningkatkan keterlibatan jemaat dalam kegiatan gerejawi dan kehidupan spiritual sehari-hari. Penelitian ini memberikan rekomendasi agar gereja terus mengembangkan program pelayanan pastoral yang integratif dan berbasis pendidikan Kristen untuk memperkuat karakter spiritual jemaat di masa mendatang.

Abstract

This study examines the factors that influence teacher satisfaction with performance and work environment, essential for the quality of education. Through literature study, it was found that teacher satisfaction directly impacts performance (quality, quantity, punctuality of teaching). The work environment, both physical (school facilities) and non-physical (relationships between colleagues, management support, school climate), is a major determinant of satisfaction. Although teachers face challenges, a positive environment has been shown to increase satisfaction. It is concluded that satisfaction, performance, and work environment are mutually reinforcing. Strategic investment in these elements is essential to create a better education ecosystem.

Abstract

Youth represent a socio-psycho-spiritual entity undergoing a critical transitional phase, characterized by identity crises, value disorientation, and pressures from secular-cultural influences. Within the framework of Christian pastoral theology and pedagogy, faith formation serves as a strategic mechanism to cultivate integrative spiritual maturity, encompassing cognitive (doctrinal understanding), affective (spiritual affection), and conative (practical orientation) dimensions. This study analyzes the effectiveness of Bible Camp as an experiential learning-based faith formation model in the spiritual development of youth. Employing a qualitative descriptive approach through participatory observation, in-depth interviews, and document analysis, the research explores the contribution of Bible Camp to the internalization of theological values, the construction of religious identity, and the strengthening of faith community cohesion. The findings indicate that Bible Camp activities—such as hermeneutic study, collective worship, existential reflection, and group dynamics—result in significant faith transformation on both personal and communal levels. This process aligns with Streib’s faith development theory and Mezirow’s transformative learning theory, which emphasize cognitive reconstruction through reflective experience within a social context. Bible Camp effectively mediates the transition from conventional faith to reflective and dialogical faith, while enhancing youth’s spiritual competencies in confronting the complexities of contemporary reality. The findings reinforce the assumption that faith formation in interactive non-formal settings is more effective than conventional instructional approaches in producing theological and ethical paradigm shifts. Therefore, Bible Camp is positioned as a relevant and contextual ecclesiological instrument in the recontextualization of Christian faith education. This model functions not only as a venue for individual spiritualization but also as a catalyst for the formation of resilient, participatory, and transformative Christian character within a pluralistic socio-religious ecosystem. Recommendations are directed towards institutionalizing Bible Camp as a systemic strategy for youth faith formation in the mission of the contemporary church.

Abstract

The increase in women's participation in the workforce has a significant impact on early childhood parenting patterns and the dynamics of household life. This research aims to analyze how career women apply parenting styles to young children and how this affects child development and the balance of home life. The study uses a mixed methods approach with an explanatory sequential design, starting with a quantitative approach followed by a qualitative approach. The goal is to gain a comprehensive understanding of the parenting styles of career women, early childhood development, and household life. The research population includes career women who have young children at the GMIT Horeb Perumnas Congregation in Kupang City. The research results show that although career women face time limitations, they tend to adopt a democratic parenting style supported by caregivers or partners. Child development can remain optimal if communication patterns and emotional involvement are maintained. However, challenges arise in terms of emotional closeness and quality time. Therefore, adaptive strategies and family support are needed to maintain a balance between career and maternal roles.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh kualitas guru dan sumber belajar terhadap prestasi siswa dan motivasi berprestasi dalam konteks Pendidikan Agama Kristen (PAK). Latar belakang penelitian ini didasarkan pada kenyataan bahwa rendahnya kualitas pengajaran dan keterbatasan sumber belajar seringkali menjadi penghambat dalam pencapaian hasil belajar yang optimal. Melalui pendekatan kuantitatif berdasarkan studi pustaka, penelitian ini mengkaji hubungan antara variabel-variabel tersebut secara sistematis dan kritis. Data dikumpulkan dari berbagai literatur ilmiah, jurnal bereputasi, dan buku akademik yang relevan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kualitas guru yang meliputi kompetensi pedagogik, profesional, dan spiritualitas secara signifikan mempengaruhi prestasi dan motivasi siswa. Demikian pula, sumber belajar yang variatif dan kontekstual mampu meningkatkan daya tarik dan efektivitas pembelajaran PAK. Motivasi berprestasi terbukti menjadi mediator penting yang memperkuat hubungan antara kualitas guru dan hasil belajar siswa. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa peningkatan kualitas guru dan optimalisasi sumber belajar harus diintegrasikan dalam strategi pembelajaran PAK agar mampu menciptakan pengalaman belajar yang transformatif bagi siswa. Hasil ini memberikan kontribusi praktis bagi guru, pengambil kebijakan, dan pengembang kurikulum.

Abstract

Pancasila is the ideology of the Indonesian nation which functions as a foundation for acting, having a perspective and living in the Indonesian nation and state. The Pancasila principles contain important values ​​that must become the foundation and formation of national character; This is in accordance with the ideals of education in Indonesia, namely forming Pancasila Indonesian people. Pancasila values ​​should also be taught in every learning activity, including when teaching Christian Religious Education to students. The aim of this scientific work is to discuss the implementation of Pancasila values ​​in Christian Religious Education. This research uses a library study paradigm, where data collection efforts use various scientific literature. The data was analyzed descriptively to reveal the results that as Christians, every student must realize that as Indonesian citizens who are synonymous with diversity, they must live in unity and harmony based on the values ​​of Pancasila. Christians must see the harmony between Indonesian citizens that has existed for so long as a gift from God that must be maintained and preserved. The spirit of behaving in accordance with the values ​​of Pancasila is in harmony with the values ​​in Christian Religious Education learning, namely encouraging students in schools to be open and willing to appreciate the diversity of existing religions, respect human values, work together to maintain unity, respect the government and representatives, and apply fair wherever you are. Living the values ​​of Pancasila through teaching Christian Religious Education helps students experience character strengthening to behave positively as part of peace-loving Indonesian society.

Abstract

Local culture, including the practice of weaving Buna motifs, is a cultural heritage that needs to be preserved in the era of globalization which, if not maintained, could hinder the development of traditional practices. This research aims to determine the importance of combining management principles and Christian values ​​in maintaining the practice of weaving Buna motifs. This research used a qualitative approach involving the principal, teachers and students of Nunkolo State High School as participants. Data collection was carried out through unstructured interviews, observation and analysis of related documents. The research discussion was analyzed descriptively which showed the results that the school principal plays a very important role in the world of education with his leadership in developing educational programs that support the preservation of local culture, as well as exploring how the Christian values ​​adhered to by the school can provide a moral and ethical foundation in preserving cultural heritage. The school principal's management seeks to strengthen Christian values ​​through the practical activity of weaving Buna motifs as a means of forming cooperation between students and craftsmen which has an impact on student behavior which increasingly respects traditions that have been maintained for a long time.
