Abstract

The Potential of Purple Leaves Ethanol Extract (Graptophyllum pictum L.) against Staphylococcus aureus and Candida albicans. This study is an experimental study with a comparative approach, aimed at analyzing the potential of purple leaves (Graptophyllum pictum L.) by using in vitro method against Staphylococcus aureus and Candida albicans. The clear zone was formed between the outer sides of the paper disc containing the ethanolic extract of the purple leaves (Graptophyllum pictum L.) and the S. column. gold and C. albicans colonies are growth indicators. The growth of S. aureus and C. albicans were measured at incubation time 24, 48, and 72 hours, which were then analyzed by analysis with Anava's one-way statistical test and continued with Duncan's 1%. The research found that the purple leaves ethanol extract (Graptophyllum pictum L.) has the growth inhibition of Staphylococcus aureus and Candida albicans, which is indicated by the comparison results of the optimal concentrations of S. aureus and C. albicans, were 50% and 90%, so that the purple leaf ethanol extract could recommended as an antibacterial.

Abstract

Biji durian (Durio zibethinus) merupakan substrat yang cenderung bersifat sebagai limbah yang minim nilai manfaat. Pembuatan tempe dengan bahan baku biji Durian menjadi solusi alternatif dan merupakan suatu inovasi bahan baku dalam pembuatan tempe dan peningkatan nilai guna biji Durian. Jumlah inokulum dan lama waktu fermentasi yang tepat dalam menghasilkan kualitas tempe berbahan baku biji Durian masih belum diketahui menjadi temuan yang diharapkan dalam penelitian. Rancangan penelitian disusun dengan desain Rancangan Acak Kelompok dengan kadar ragi 0,15 gram : 0,2 gram dengan waktu fermentasi 0 jam, 24 jam, 48 jam, 72 jam, dan 96 jam. Data yang diukur meliputi kadar protein, lemak, dan asam fitat, yang dilanjutkan dengan uji tingkat kesukaan dengan 15 orang panelis dan di ketahui hasil dari uji tersebut bahwa tempe biji durian cukup layak untuk dikonsumsi, karena rasa dan tekstur dari tempe biji durian tersebut memiliki kesamaan dari tempe pada umumnya yang dibuat menggunakan biji kedelai . Data yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan analisis deskriptif, sedangkan data organoleptik dianalisis dengan skala Likert. Hasil penelitian bahwa biji Durian sebelum fermentasi mengalami penurunan kadar protein, dan lemak setelah fermentasi 24jam, sedangkan asam fitat setelah fermentasi 92jam untuk penambahan inokulum 0.15%. Hasil uji sensori menunjukkan 93.33% panelis menilai penambahan ragi 0,15 gram lebih baik dibandingkan ragi 0,2gram berdasarkan warna, rasa, aroma, dan tekstur tempe.

Abstract

This study aims (1) to determine whether the guided inquiry learning model has an effect on the students' science process skills, (2) to find out whether the PBL learning model affects the students' science process skills, (3) to find out the differences in the students' science process skills. VII SMPN 5 Dusun Selatan which uses the guided inquiry learning model and the PBL learning model. The method in this research is comparative quantitative. The research design used was the Nondomized Control Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The instrument used was a test in the form of multiple choice questions totaling 25 questions and an observation sheet for students' science process skills. The research sample was students of class VII A and class VII B at SMPN 5 Dusun Selatan. The data collection technique was carried out using the observation method of students' science process skills and learning outcomes tests. The data were analyzed descriptively. The results of this study show that (1) the value of the science process skills of students using the guided inquiry learning model has an average value of 92%, (2) the value of the science process skills of students using the PBL learning model has an average value of 96 %, (3) the difference in the science process skills of students who are taught using the guided inquiry learning model and the PBL learning model, it can be seen from the results of the average value obtained that there are differences, where the PBL learning model has a higher average value than the learning model. guided inquiry. The learning outcomes of the guided inquiry class had an average score of 39 on the pretest and 68 on the posttest. Meanwhile, the average value of the pretest in the PBL class was 40.4 and the posttest score was 69.3. These results indicate that the guided inquiry learning model and the PBL learning model can improve students' learning outcomes and science process skills.

Abstract

Kemampuan literasi sains di Indonesia tergolong rendah dibandingkan negara lain, salah satunya dikarena kurang bijaknya memanfaatkan teknologi informatif sebagai sumber belajar, yang umumnya justru dimanfaatkan untuk kegiatan yang tidak produktif. Hal ini mempengaruhi ketuntasan literasi pendidika.n formal anak di usia produktif di Kelurahan Habaring Hurung. Tujuan program pendampingan belajar ini agar diperolehnya peningkatan kemampuan literasi sains melalui permainan edukatif siswa sekolah dasar siswa kelas III SDN 1 Habaring Hurung Kota Palangka Raya. Kegiatan dilakukan dengan metode action research melalui permainan edukatif yang melibatkan siswa sebagai subjek kegiatan. Berdasarkan hasil observasi dan penilaian yang telah dilakukan terdapat peningkatan terhadap kemampuan sains siswa, dibuktikan dengan peningkatan skor pada setiap indikator penilaian kemampuan sains. Skor paling besar terdapat pada indikator mampu menjelaskan kejadian sains dalam permainan edukatif yaitu dengan skor 54. Hasil kegiatan pendamingan ini menunjukkan peningkatan kemampuan sains siswa kelas III SDN 1 Habaring Hurung yang harus dipublikasikan dan didesiminasikan, dengan harapan dapat dijadikan bahan referensi untuk studi sejenis lebih lanjut.
