Today, teenagers tend to be influenced by information media easily, misinformation about reproduction, and adult websites. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between media exposure and the age of menarche. This study used a cross-sectional approach. The total sample was 173 women adolescents chosen using a simple random sampling technique. Data were collected using interviews and a survey and then analyzed using the Chi-Square test. The results showed that the most age of menarche was 11 years (43.3%), there was a relationship between media exposure with menarche age (p <0.05). It is recommended for each student to be able to choose the right information about reproductive health, it would increase their knowledge and insight about reproductive health. Keywords: Adolescent, Media, Menarche Age.

Abstract

Background. Dengue fever is one of the diseases that is a public health problem and is endemic. Bandung Regency is included in the top 5 regions with dengue cases in West Java Province. Poor environmental sanitation can cause various diseases, one of which is DHF disease. Purpose. To analyze the relationship of knowledge and behavior of the community regarding environmental sanitation to the incidence of dengue fever in RW 10 Cibeunying Village. Method. The research design used was descriptive quantitative with a population of 887 and a sample of 90 respondents. The calculation uses simple random sampling and data collection using accidental sampling techniques. Result. The correlation test using chi square on knowledge variables against the distance and DHF obtained the results of the sig value. 0.580>0.05 means that there is no significant relationship between knowledge and the incidence of DHF. The correlation test using chi square on behavioral variables against the dhf and DHF obtained the results of the sig value. 0.000<0.05 means that there is a significant relationship between knowledge and the incidence of DHF. Conclusion. There is no significant relationship between knowledge and dhf events, but there is a significant relationship between behavior and DHF events. Suggestion. Create a dengue prevention program that is not only an increase in knowledge but there is real action as well as from health workers or from the community. Abstract

Community health centers (Puskesmas) are health care facilities that are obligated to manage their waste, both medical and non-medical, which is the responsibility of health workers. This study aims to analyze the correlation between the knowledge and attitudes of health workers and the practice of sorting medical solid waste at the Bonti Community Health Center (UPT). This study is a descriptive correlational study using a cross-sectional study approach. This study involved all health workers at the Bonti Community Health Center (UPT) as a population of 34 people, with a total sample being used as the sampling technique. The research instrument was a questionnaire to measure knowledge and attitudes, and an observation sheet to measure the practice of sorting medical solid waste. Data analysis was conducted using the chi-square test. This study found that 55.9% of health workers had good knowledge and 44.1% had poor knowledge. 58.8% of health workers had positive attitudes, while 41.2% had negative attitudes. Meanwhile, the practice of sorting medical solid waste showed that 52.9% of health workers had good practices and 47.1% had poor practices. Analysis using the Chi-Square test revealed a significant correlation between knowledge and practice (p=0.042) and attitude and practice (p=0.017). It is recommended that Community Health Centers (Puskesmas) periodically monitor medical solid waste sorting practices to ensure that all healthcare workers sort medical solid waste according to standards.

Abstract

Coronary Heart Disease (CHD) accounts for approximately 14.38% of national mortality in Indonesia and was recorded as the most prevalent case at RSUD Welas Asih in 2024, with 17,856 patient visits. Prevention of CHD depends not only on clinical management but also on the involvement of family members as the primary support system of the patient. CERDIK education, developed by the Indonesian Ministry of Health, provides a structured approach to modifiable risk-factor control through six pillars: regular health check-ups, avoiding cigarette smoke, regular physical activity, healthy and balanced diet, adequate rest, and stress management. This study aimed to analyze the effect of CERDIK education on the knowledge of families of CHD patients regarding CHD prevention at the Cardiology Polyclinic of RSUD Welas Asih. This study used a pre-experimental design with a one group pre-test–post-test approach. The population consisted of 372 family members of CHD patients over a one-week period, and 39 respondents were selected using accidental sampling. Knowledge was measured using a validated 16-item questionnaire (r > 0.339; p < 0.05) with high reliability (Cronbach's α = 0.872). Data were analyzed univariately and bivariately; because the data were not normally distributed, the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test was used with α = 0.05. Before the intervention, most respondents were in the sufficient category (69.2%), while the good category was 20.5% and the poor category 10.3%. After the intervention, the good category increased to 87.2%, the sufficient category dropped to 12.8%, and no respondents remained in the poor category. The mean knowledge score increased from 11.08 ± 2.07 to 15.33 ± 1.08, with a mean difference of 4.25 and a gain score of 0.47 (moderate category). The Wilcoxon test yielded p = 0.000 (p < 0.05). It can be concluded that CERDIK education significantly improves the knowledge of families of CHD patients regarding CHD prevention and is feasible to be implemented as a routine promotive and preventive program at the Cardiology Polyclinic of RSUD Welas Asih.
