Abstract

ABSTRAKGempa bumi berkekuatan 6,2 skala richter pada kedalaman 10 km telah mengguncang wilayah Aceh Tengah dan sekitarnya pada tanggal 2 Juli 2013 pukul 14.37 WIB. Mekanisme sesar penyebab terjadinya gempa bumi tersebut adalah gerak sesar mendatar berarah N 304ºE/69º dengan rake 169º, berkaitan dengan salah satu aktivitas sesar aktif di Aceh Tengah. Gempa bumi ini mempunyai intensitas VII-VIII pada skala MMI yang ditandai oleh bangunan rusak berat, retakan tanah, dan gerakan tanah serta menimbulkan korban jiwa 39 orang meninggal dan lebih dari 400 orang luka. Gerakan tanah sebagai bencana juga terjadi di 22 tempat dan yang terparah di Desa Serempah, Kecamatan Ketol pada jarak 8,22 km dari pusat gempa bumi.Kata Kunci: Gempa bumi Aceh Tengah, skala intensitas gempa bumi, sesar aktif, gerakan tanahABSTRACTAn earthquakes of 6.2 local magnitude in Richter Scale and at a depth of 10 km had shaken Aceh Tengah on July 2nd, 2013 at 14|:37.The mechanism of the earthquake was strike-slip fault which is trending in N 304º E/69º with rake 169º. It was suggested of being associated with one of the active faults in Aceh Tengah region. The scale of the intensity scale was VII-VIII MMI which were marked with heavily damaged settlements; soil cracks and landslides that causing 39 people died and more than 400 people wounded. There were about 22 landslides occurred, the largest one was at Serempah Village in Ketol District, at a distance of 8.22 km from the epicenter.Keyword: Aceh Tengah earthquake, earthquake intensity scale, active fault, landslide

Abstract

Recording the history of science can be traced back to thousands of years before Christ until now. Historical necessity gave birth to a wide range of concepts about the nature of science. Law as science has a distinctive character (suigeneris), that it is normative. Those characteristics caused some law scholars that do not understand the characteristics of jurisprudence have doubted law as a science. Doubt it caused more normative jurisprudence rather than empirical and his study object with respect to the guidance of behavior in a way that compliance is not entirely dependent on free will is concerned, but can be imposed by a public authority.Through science we generate new knowledge. Since the beginning of human civilization, Law has progressed in a continuous process. Progress toward understanding and managing the law-science problem seems to require disaggregating the questions. If we look carefully at what kind of "science" and what kind of "law," then perhaps we can get some analytic leverage. If we cut the general problem into little pieces, we can atleast ask more precisely what is problematic at which particular law-science interface.
