Abstract

The internal control system has an internal control structure that can control the internal control process including the control environment, accounting system, control procedures. This study aims to determine the internal control system, especially in cash disbursement activities at the Sangihe Regency Regional Secretariat which is based on the 5 (five) elements of the SPIP (government internal control system) including, control environment, risk assessment, control activities, information and communication and monitoring. The type of data used is qualitative data by conducting observations and direct interviews at the Regional Secretariat Office of the Sangihe Regency to the head of the financial subsection who knows thoroughly about cash disbursements. The results of the research obtained on the internal control system related to cash disbursements at the Regional Secretariat of the Sangihe Regency are in accordance with the 5 (five) elements of the Government Internal Control System(SPIP).

Abstract

The objective of this study is to examine the interaction between firm maturity and firm growth opportunities over risk and its impact on returns. This study uses 135 firms listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange during 2010 to 2016 as sample which gives 945 as total observed data. This study conducts path analysis in term for hypothesis testing and finds that firm maturity has significant role to increase the risk which gives impact on increasing the returns. In context of Indonesian firms, the findings imply that mature firms will have higher risk and higher returns.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze village financial management in the special autonomy region, analyze the constraints that hinder village financial management, and analyze efforts to resolve obstacles in village financial management. This study is conducted on the apparatus of Kampung Srer. This study uses a qualitative method with a case study approach and obtains the data through in-depth interviews, documentation, and observation. The results show that the village financial management in the Kampung Srer is partly in accordance with Minister of Home Affairs Regulation (or Permendagri) Number 20 of 2018 concerning the village financial management. The obstacles that hinder the management of village finances in Kampung Srer are political constraints, human resource constraints, and communication problems.  Efforts made to resolve existing constraints in the management of village finances in Kampung Srer are that the village officials who are selected have the ability that is in accordance with the field of work. There is socialization from the district and district levels related to village financial management activities in the form of increasing the capacity of village officials. There needs to be good coordination for every element in the village community, among village officials, and assistants.
