Abstract

SMK Karya Medika Ketanggungan merupakan salah satu SMK yang cukup  potensial, baik dari segi pendidikan, kesehatan. Masalah kesehatan kaki merupakan salah satu hal penting yang harus  diperhatikan oleh semua sektor mulai dari lingkup keluarga, guru, staff, dan siswa SMK Karya Medika Ketanggungan itu sendiri. Kopi memiliki cita rasa dan aroma yang khas sehingga banyak digunakan untuk penghilang bau. Footsanitizer dibuat dari kopi untuk digunakan untuk menghilangkan bau kaki. Metode pembuatan yang digunakan dengan mencampur seluruh bahan dan kemudian menambahkan kopi sebagai penghilang bau kakinya. Metode ini kemudian sebagai modal pelatihan bagi siswa SMK Karya Medika Ketanggungan dan memberikan respon yang posistif dari siswa dalam rangka mengikuti kegiatan ini.

Abstract

Minyak jelantah merupakan minyak limbah yang mempunyai kandungan trigliserida yang dapat digunakan sebagai bahan baku alternatif pembuatan sabun. Minyak Jelantah yang akan dibuat sabun dilakukan treatment untuk menghilangkan bumbu dan proses adsorpsi dengan menggunakan karbon aktif dan serbuk kopi. Penelitian ini untuk mengetahui sabun yang dibuat dari minyak jelantah teradsorpsi sudah memenuhi syarat mutu fisik atau belum. Selain itu, untuk mengetahui jenis adsorpen yang cocok untuk menghasilkan sabun padat ramah lingkungan. Treatment minyak jelantah melalui tahapan penghilangan pengotor dengan penyaringan kemudian tahap adsorpsi dengan karbon aktif dan serbuk kopi 0,1%/100 gram minyak. Minyak jelantah kemudian diformulasikan untuk dibuat sabun. Uji sabun minyak jelantah meliputi organoleptis, kadar air, pH,tinggi busa, asam lemak dan alkali bebas. Hasil pembuatan sabun menghasilkan dengan adsorben serbuk kopi menghasilkan organoleptis yang lebih baik dibandingkan dengan adsorben karbon aktif. Sabun padat yang diadsorpsi karbon aktif menghasilkan kandungan air rata-rata 14,15%, pH 9, tinggi busa 3,33 cm, asam lemak 50,37%, dan alkali bebas 0,08%. Sedangkan sabun dengan adsorben serbuk kopi mengahsilkan kandungan air menghasilkan kandungan air rata-rata 13,82%, pH 9, tinggi busa 3,5 cm, asam lemak 46,82%, dan alkali bebas 0,09%. Abstract

The use of pomade for a long time will cause hair damage. Pomade with preferred ingredients, because it is very good for beauty and hair health. Liquid oil is one of the basic ingredients used in making pomade. Candlenut oil can be used as liquid oil for the pomade base. This article examines the formulation and physical properties of pomade from candlenut oil. There are four formulas that have been made with different F0 candlenut oils without candlenut oil, F1 with 10% candlenut oil, F2 with 20% candlenut oil, F3 with 30% candlenut oil. The difference in concentration is indicated to affect the physical differences of the candlenut oil pomade. Physical properties of Candlenut Oil Pomade gel include organoleptic, homogeneity, scattering test, sticky test. The results showed that all formulas showed homogeneous gel preparations. Formula 3, with the highest concentration of candlenut oil concentration of 30%, shows a greater dispersion than a formula with other substances reaching 6.5 cm and meets SNI standards, which will increase the adhesion, which does not meet the standard.

Abstract

Sekarang ini semakin banyak orang tertarik menggunakan sabun herbal karena sifat bioaktifsenyawa yang terkandung di dalamnya.Sabun herbal sebagai sabun alami dibuat dengan mencampurkan ekstrak tanaman herbal. Kulit pisang kepok (Musa normalis L) sebagai salah satutanaman mengandung antioksidan, senyawa vit c , flavonoid,dan serotonin. Berdasarkan aneka manfaat kulit pisang kepok dan mudah diperoleh maka dilakukan kajian tentang pemanfaatan pembuatan sabun dan efektivitas antioksidan yang terkandung dalam kulit pisang.Pembuatan sabun dilakukan dengan menerapkan reaksi saponifikasi menggunakan bahan dasar minyak kelapa, NaOH, dan ekstrak kulit pisang kepok. Sabun dibuat dengan kadar asam stearat yang berbeda-beda yaitu 5%, 15%,  dan 20%. Kualitas sabun diuji menurut standar mutu sabun mandi SNI No.06-3532-1994, uji aktivitas antioksidan dilakukan dengan melakukan perhitungan persen penghambat 2.2- diphenyl-1-picryl-hydrazyl (DPPH). Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa sabun herbal dengan bahan dasar minyak kelapa, minyak jarak, asam stearat larutan NaOH 35%, dan ekstrak kulit pisang kepok memenuhi standar mutu sabun mandi SNI No. 06-3532-1994.Kata kunci: ekstrak kulit pisang kepok (Musa normalis), saponifikasi, aktivitas antioksidan

Abstract

Ampas tebu merupakan hasil samping dari pabrik gula jatibarang yang perlu dimanfaatkan. Disisi lain, kotoran sapi sebagai hasil samping rumah penyembelihan perlu adanya pengolahan lebih lanjut. Kotoran sapi dikombinasikan dengan ampas tebu untuk memperoleh kombinasi yang ideal untuk memperoleh volume biogas yang paling tinggi. Metode yang digunakan yaitu water displacement method untuk pengukuran volume biogas, penghitungan total solid menggunakan gravimetri. Variasi percobaan yang akan dilakukan masing-masing variasi rasio ampas tebu 2.5; 5; 10; 12.5% (basis TS) dengan kotoran sapi sebanyak 10% dan air 30% dengan volume kerja 1 liter.Percobaan dengan kombinasi dihasilkan volume gas tertinggi pada kombinasi total solid ampas tebu 10%, kotoran sapi 10% dan air 30% pada volume 2.71 L/Kg substrat pada hari ke-25. Kombinasi yang paling baik untuk mendapatkan jumlah volume biogas yang paling banyak yaitu pada kandungan TS ampas tebu sebesar 2.5%, kotoran sapi 10% dan air sebanyak 30% dengan total volume biogas yang dihasilkan sebanyak 26.57 L/Kg Substrat. Kata Kunci: Ampas Tebu, Kotoran Sapi, Biogas

Abstract

Law No. 18 of 2008 was enacted by the Government in the context of waste management. One of the waste in question is organic waste such as orange peel. In order to realize the activities of the tri darma and environmental-based “adiwiyat”a schools at SMA N 1 Larangan, community service activities related to the manufacture of eco-enzymes were held. This community service activity aims to increase knowledge about the processing of organic waste from orange peel into eco-enzymes in the form of training on making eco-enzymes to improve eco-enzyme-based waste treatment skills. The method of activities carried out includes preparation in the form of activities in the laboratory of DIII pharmacy Politeknik Harapan Bersama, implementation in the form of providing education and training to students and evaluation in the form of pre-tests and post tests to measure the increase in student knowledge. The results of this community service activity have been adjusted to the purpose of this service, namely to increase students' knowledge and skills by 58.6% based on a questionnaire survey shortly before and after the training activity for making eco-enzymes and processed products.

Abstract

MAN 1 Tegal is a formal education located on Jl. MA' Hadut Tholabah Babakan Lebaksiu Islamic Boarding School so it is commonly known as MAN Babakan Lebaksiu because it is located in Jatimulya Village, Lebaksiu District, Tegal Regency. The purpose of this Community Service (PKM) activity is to try to improve knowledge and skills to students through counseling and training on the use of aloe vera extract (Aloe vera L) in gel preparations as a burn medicine and establishing a cooperative relationship between Politeknik Harapan Bersama Tegal and MAN Babakan Lebaksiu as a partner. The methods used are surveys, interviews, providing material and practicum as well as distributing questionnaires as feedback from partners and evaluating PKM activities. The results of this activity began with an explanation and counseling about burns. In addition, there were question and answer sessions, discussions, filling out questionnaires and practice of making gels. There are several conclusions that can be drawn. The conclusion of this activity shows that the training activity for making gel from aloe vera extract went well and was proven to increase students' knowledge with a sufficient score of 63%.

Abstract

Tea that has been brewed leaves a residue or residue which we know as tea dregs. Natural ingredients which contain many bioactive compounds that can be used as antiseptics and antibacterials are found in these tea dregs. One preparation that can be made by utilizing natural compounds from tea dregs is handwash. This preparation is a preparation that is used as a hand wash to obtain maximum hand hygiene after cleaning the hands. The aim of this service activity is to provide education and skills in making handwash from tea dregs. Tea dregs are used as an effort to make greater use of residual natural materials (waste) so that they can be of maximum benefit in processing them. The method used in this activity is socialization, approach and practice in making handwash. The target of this activity is students of SMK Muhammadiyah Larangan Brebes. The result of this PKM is that education and training has been carried out on making handwash using tea dregs. This activity, which was attended by 199 students and 7 teachers, is expected to increase knowledge and skills specially making handwash preparations from tea dregs

Abstract

The use of pegagan (Centella asiatica L.) is an important spotlight in the development of pharmaceutical dosage forms, especially in the scope of cosmetic preparations. Pegagan (Centella asiatica L.) contains secondary metabolites such as flavonoids, phenolics, saponins, and steroids which are natural antioxidants from a plant. This study aims to be able to apply the benefits of pegagan (Centella asiatica L.) in the manufacture of pharmaceutical preparations in the form of facial serum made in three concentrations of HPMC as a gelling agent, namely 4%, 6%, and 8%. HPMC is a gelling agent that can affect the antioxidant value contained in topical preparations. The method in making face serum preparations of pegagan (Centella asiatica L.) extract utilizing the combination of HPMC with chitosan which both have the property of influencing the antioxidant properties of serum preparations made and measurement of antioxidant activity using the DPPH attenuation method as measure by UV-Vis spectrophotometry. The serum of pegagan (Centella asiatica L.) extract which has the best antioxidant activity is Formula 1 (F1) with an IC50 value of 110 μg/mL. F1, F2, and F3 are categories of IC50 values ​​which are included in the category of having moderate levels of antioxidant activity.
