Abstract

The intensity of magnetic anomalies at Sengkang Basin varies from -750 nTto 400 nT. Basin configuration and subsurface geological structues can be analysed by modelling of the magnetic signal of ultramafic basement. Geomagnetic analisis indicates that the Sengkang Basin is underlain by high magnetic ultrabasic rocks, and the geological structures consit of a NE-SW fold, crossedcut by a NW-SE fault. Keywords: Geomagnetic signals, Sengkang basin, ultramafic basement configuration, geological structures.

Abstract

Land movement occur because of the movement of slope-forming material such as of soil, rock or a combination of material types to a place that is lower due to the influence of gravity. The movement of slope material can be identified by the Electrical Resistivity Tomography (ERT) Method, because this method has good lateral and vertical resolution based on rock resistivity data. The trigger factors for land movement in Anjung Village, Pasanggrahan Baru, South Sumedang, among others: an increase in water content on the slopes and the slip plane. Increased water content is influenced by infiltration of rainwater as one of the triggers of land movement,  can be detected by the Self Potential method (SP), while the slip plane can be detected by the method of Electrical Resistivity Tomography (ERT). Based on the results of the ERT and SP measurements, the results are: debris flow as a landslide plane (resistivity values: 31 – 170 Ohm.m and SP values: 5 – 13 mV), water table/water saturated layer (resistivity values: 1 – 13 Ohm.m and SP values: 14 – 34 mV), and breccias (resistivity values: 400 - 900 Ohm.m and SP values: 1-3 mV).Slip plane are estimated to be at boundary between the breccia and the material on it.Keywords: Land movement, resistivity, self potential, South Sumedang

Abstract

Potensi geologi daerah Banten dan sekitarnya dianalisis berdasarkan interpretasi anomali gayaberat, baik potensi positif (sumberdaya mineral) maupun potensi negatif (kebencanaan geologi).

Abstract

A study using gravity methods in the Banyumas Basin, located in the southern part of Central Java, Indonesia had been conducted to generate a map for regional geological features in sub-volcanic basin related to petroleum system. This study used the first and second-order of Trend Surface Analysis (TSA) to separate gravity anomaly into regional and residual components. Matrix inversion is applied to obtain constants values for both the first and second-order of TSA. To interpret geological features related to oil and gas study, residual components are used for gravity anomaly. Residual anomaly is also compared for both first and second order of TSA with a regional geological map to validate the result. Residual anomaly from the second order of TSA showed a very comparable result to geological features, as shown in the regional geological map, compared to those of the first order of TSA. These results also showed a strong contrast of some important geological features such as the Gabon-Nusakambangan Formation outcrop, Karangbolong outcrop, and the eastern part of the south Serayu mountain arc. This study also displayed two potential subbasins i.e Citanduy and Majenang sub-Basin that might be a possible setting in which source rocks of the Banyumas Basin were deposited. From this study, it can be concluded that TSA showed a reliable result of separating gravity anomaly data set into regional and residual components. Keywords: Gravity anomaly, Banyumas Basin, petroleum system, trend surface analysis (TSA).
