Abstract

Abstract - This research is basic research that explores the public's trust in swallow farming business. Swiftlet nest is believed to have many benefits for health. Indonesia is the largest producer of swallow's nest in the world. Almost some of the swallow nest produced is exported abroad, especially to China. The purpose of this study is to discuss the reasons behind the belief that is expected to bring information to many people. So that people are able to think wisely and open in every business especially swiftlet nest business. While the method used by the author is qualitative methods by means of interviews, observation and analysis of documents in order to support the validity of the data. The main objects of the research are breeders, collectors and consumers of Swallow nest. The scope of this research is on cultural beliefs in Swallow farming based on Indonesia and China perpective. On the basis of the findings obtained during the study, researchers found that not all swallow nest businessmen believed in the belief. some of them might believe the impact of Swallow farming business but based on different reasons. It has been found not only from the Indonesian perpective but also in Chinese perpective.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the factors that affect entrepreneurial intention of students such as educational factor, relationship factor and self confidence factor from students of Faculty of Business and Economics, University of Surabaya.This study uses the quantitative approach by distributing questionnaires to 150 respondents. Software used to analyze data is SPSS 18 for Windows and IBM Amos 22 for Windows. Sample in this research is student of Faculty Business and Economics of University of Surabaya. Dependent Variable in this research is entrepreneurial intention. Independent variables in this study consist of educational support, relationship support and self confidence. The study found that educational support has a positive significant effect on entrepreneurial intention from students of Faculty of Business and Economics University of Surabaya. Relationship support has a positive significant effect on entrepreneurial intention from students of Faculty of Business and Economics University of Surabaya. Self confidence has a positive significant effect on entrepreneurial intention from students of Faculty of Business and Economics University of Surabaya.

Abstract

X has three services, namely pest control, garden maintenance, and general trade. During the COVID-19 pandemic, only the general trade service operated normally. PT. X identified an opportunity due to the increased demand for health and hygiene support equipment as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. However, when PT. X obtained a project for the procurement of hand sanitizers and handwashing soap, they realized that they were not fully capable of handling the project entirely due to resource constraints. PT. X decided to collaborate with a partner company that had expertise and experience in the production of health support equipment. The research aims to identify the reasons why PT. X turned to collaborative entrepreneurship, how to operate collaborative entrepreneurship, and the role and implementation of social capital theory in building trust in the process of creating collaborative entrepreneurship as a strategy to overcome the crisis caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. The research uses a qualitative method with primary data obtained from interviews with informants from PT. X and secondary data obtained by observing the situation faced by PT. X. The results of this study indicate that PT. X successfully survived this COVID-19 pandemic. This research is expected to provide insights into the collaborative strategies adopted by PT. X in overcoming the crisis caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as the application of social capital theory in building trust in cooperation with business partners.

Abstract

The current business conditions are experiencing major challenges with the occurrence of globalization. This is further complicated by the occurrence of VUCA due to the COVID-19 pandemic that occurred in the last 2 years. Business challenges that initially focused only on globalization, now must focus more on determining the right strategy to face business competition while surviving the VUCA conditions due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This research was conducted at PT. X, who managed to survive the VUCA condition due to the COVID-19 pandemic by using the BSC method to measure the effectiveness of the competitive advantage strategy that the company has used
