Abstract

Previously, the antenna conductive patch was made of copper, which was costly, susceptible to multi-fading, bulky, environmentally sensitive, and difficult to produce. Because of their exceptional electrical conductivity and superior strength to metal, while remaining versatile, the miracle nanotechnology of graphene has made them a possible candidate to replace uncompromising copper metallic content. As a result, graphene is incorporated into conductive silver nanocomposites in this work. With the microstrip feeding technology, the suggested antenna design features a logo-shaped made of graphene and silver patch on a textile substrate and radiates at 2.45 GHz frequency. The antenna’s total dimensions are 60×60×1.6 mm. The simulation results were generated using computer simulation technology (CST) studio suite program software, which improved antenna properties including far-fields, return loss, and voltage standing wave ratio (VSWR). Wearable antennas are promising and have a bright future, especially with the advent of wireless communication technologies, so this new design is essential for the materials revolution in advanced communication and IR4.0 applications, as well as wireless sensor applications

Abstract

Energy harvesting is a fast-expanding topic in many scientific and engineering-related disciplines due to the extreme necessity to discover answers to the world's power challenges. This paper focuses on the design of a novel antenna that will operate at frequencies of 2.45 GHz, 4.5 GHz, and 5.725 GHz. The study shows the improvement of the current triband antenna for energy harvesting applications by varying the antenna parameters. The return loss, the voltage standing wave ratio (VSWR) and the radiation pattern for the antenna at all frequencies 2.45 GHz, 4.5 GHz, and 5.725 GHz have been compared in the results. The scope of this project development comprises the antenna design utilizing simulation software, computer simulation technology (CST) 2019 and vector network analyzer (VNA) test instrument for physical testing. During the design process, fundamental antenna characteristics were estimated and validated to determine optimal performance of an antenna for this project.

Abstract

The paper discusses about upgrading the overhead crane anti-sway method base on the induction motor torque control from rotor resistance starter to variable frequency drives (VFDs). The upgrading included two phases. The phase 1 is to identify the performance of the overhead crane operation on anti-sway method base on the induction motor torque control using rotor resistance starter (old existing motor starter). The phase 2 is to identify the performance of the overhead crane operation on anti-sway method base on the induction motor torque control that use a variable of frequency drive (new upgrading motor starter). The primary equations connecting tractive force and load sway angle, which the motor torque control law is based on is designed for 0% load wobble at the end of the journey. The words accelerating and braking have been written. Outcomes of modelling the behaviour of a trolley-load of two masses for the normal overhead crane load ratios, a system is described weight to the length of the rope, which supports the hypothesis concerning the feasibility of direct load anti-sway control ON and OFF for regulation of motor for overhead cranes.

Abstract

Dye sensitized solar cells (DSSC) is one of the promising candidates which are efficient, low-cost, and clean hybrid molecular solar cell devices. Zinc oxide (ZnO) has been widely used as the phoanode in DSSC due to its excellent charge conduction mechanism, yet still suffers from poor cell efficiency. In this study, aluminium doped ZnO (ZnO:Al) and Ni doped ZnO (ZnO:Ni) were studied as photoanode material in DSSC using solar cell capacitance simulator (SCAPS) simulation, and the electrolyte liquid considered a single solid p-type layer as hole transporting materials. Both studied photoanodes have demonstrated better cell performance than pure ZnO photoanode due to the small amount of aluminium (Al) and nikel (Ni) impurities added have enhanced the physiochemical properties of ZnO films. A power conversion efficiency (PCE) of 3.96% was obtained at 3 mol% ZnO:Al photoanode with optimized key parameters. These simulation results proved an opportunity to improve the performance of the DSSCs via doping engineering into the ZnO photonaode.

Abstract

In the area of wearable technology an enhancement of basic microstrip antenna is evolution of wearable textile antenna. A major requirement for wearable textile antenna is its flexible designed materials which incoprates of fabric in the structure. The parameters obtained from the wearable textile antenna are return loss (S-11), directivity, gain, voltage standing wave ratio (VSWR) as well as the specific absorption rate (SAR) value. All these parameters are mostly influenced by the value of substrate dielectric constant and its thickness. In this paper, the design of wearable dual band frequency microstrip antenna is presented for wireless communication services. When the federal communication commission (FSS) has allowed the operation of unlicensed ultra-wideband (UWB) thus it attracted research interest in realizing UWB antennas for wireless applications. The operating frequency of the proposed antenna ranges from 2.85 GHz to 7.3 GHz. For body-worn and wearable applications, the antenna is embedded on selected textiles (i.e. felt, denim, polyester and leather). The prorposed microstrip antenna is designed, simulated and analysed in computer simulation technology (CST) microwave studio.
