Abstract

The development of this application has a goal to give people who don’t have any idea of how to keep an ideal body weight and to maintain it by having controlled food intakes and exercises. This application is designed by using a Waterfall Model, a 5-phase model that is Communication, Planning, Modeling, Construction, and Deployment starting from as the aforementioned steps. Based on the responds we get from distributing questionnaire, many people didn’t know how to exercise properly and didn’t bother to check the calories of their food. Their weight is also a problem because most of them still have an Overweight or Underweight status. From those responds, we can conclude that our application will indeed help people to get and maintain their ideal body weight.

Abstract

The research objective is to develop an application that allows users to participate in a loyalty program and facilitate Smartphone enterprise (Merchant) in access, sale and observation of customer transactions through mobile applications. Design method used is object-based design that includes a UML of use case diagrams, use case narrative, class diagram, sequence diagrams and activity diagrams. Results achieved in the form of mobile applications that are able to facilitate customer in managing loyalty cards as well as to increase customer loyalty. This application features, such as add points, redeem, news, transaction history, and message that can facilitate customer in managing customer loyalty card. The conclusion of this design is that the application of E Points can enable customers to manage a loyalty card in Smartphone, add points, redeem rewards, obtain the latest promotional information through news features, and view transaction history.

Abstract

Security is crucial for the network. But there are still system leaks, especially in class conferences during the pandemic. Because of a lot of data exchange and data entry, some viruses are difficult to identify. So, the role of network security is vital. Many viruses spread through links, and others can access cases of misuse of links; the issue is called Zoom bombing. So, from managing the instability of data in and out of conference classes during this pandemic, many activities are carried out online that awareness of more comprehensive network security. With the COVID-19 pandemic, class conferences are prevalent in today’s world. Millions of people use it for various reasons, and one of them is for education. However, there are issues related to the network’s security where users’ data was stolen and impersonated or network trafficking, which will cause fault and disruption in the network. This research have 3 methodologies include Systematic Literature Review, Research Questions (identify the focus of the literature review, which helps process the data more clearly), Result Finding (the study of an existing paper with specific keywords to answer the research questions). As the result, it can be concluded that there are many ways to prevent attacks by improving the network’s security such as network security defense mechanisms and firewall. So that everything can be petrified in terms of comfort in meet conferences so that class conferences activities can run safely.

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic that has hit the world has resulted in limited human activities. Video conferencing is one solution for carrying out activities. Video conferencing helps people reduce the spread of Covid-19 and connects people. With video conferencing, people can meet without being limited by space and time. However, video conferencing still has various drawbacks, such as the inability to interact. Because we only see the video, the lack of technology due to video conferencing requires us to use technology such as computers or cell phones that a stable and fast internet network must support to ensure smooth video conferencing. In this paper, the researcher conducted a literature study to determine the limitations of video conferencing. The results show the various reasons for video conferencing restrictions. Some of these reasons are experienced by lecturers, students, or the lack of infrastructure. Students are challenged to improve their level of study due to the lack of technological support that supports only using video conferencing.

Abstract

Clustered Regularly Interspaced Short Palindromic Repeats (CRISPR) explain genetic illness and how people can treat it using. CRISPR, a gene editing technology, has altered what is now possible in animal modification and the development of human treatments. Technological advancements enable new enhanced plants, breakthrough concepts for human medicine, and appealing yet feasible techniques for reducing vector-borne illnesses. CRISPR is used as a diagnostic method for several critical diseases like cancer. CRISPR can detect and identify the DNA and RNA to identify the cause of the pathogen, like viruses or bacteria with high sensitivity. In this research, the researcher will explain how CRISPR will change the future, specifically for medical purposes. The researcher will do the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) to describe CRISPR. The goal considering CRISPR in the future is routinely used to edit the genetics of plant, bacterial, and even animal models for good purposes. It also nourishes and protects the human body from diseases by examining target genes in genome modification, investigating, and treating genetic disorders, infectious diseases, and immunological diseases. In CRISPR applications for hereditary illnesses, the CRISPR/Cas technology has been used for gene therapy to protect humans against sickness. Although the limitation of the technology is that still in the initial stages, CRISPR could be one of the groundbreaking methods in the future.

Abstract

E-commerce has grown immensely in the past few years, especially during the Covid-19 pandemic. This condition brings severe conditions. Most traditional business owners must shift and implement e-commerce into their business models. Although e-commerce has many advantages, it also has limitations. The limitation of e-commerce is that it is difficult for customers to visualize the products they will buy in the real world. Most E-commerce applications only allow customers to see images and reviews of the products they want to buy through the screen of their devices. This situation can decrease customer satisfaction if the products they believe do not match the images. This research aims to help solve the limitations of e-commerce applications by implementing Augmented Reality to help customers visualize the products they buy. The researcher developed an Android-based mobile AR application using Unity and the Vuforia engine. After creating our AR application, we surveyed 46 participants to test our AR application. The researcher used Likert Scale with a scale of 4. The result is that almost all participants agreed that AR makes it easier to visualize the product purchased from e-commerce. An average score of 3.6 shows that most participants strongly agree that AR positively influences their decision-making to buy products.
