Abstract

Logistic regression or logit regression is a statistical technique used to create predictive modeling. To determine the logistic regression equation that will be used to predict the value of the dependent variable, parameter estimates must be sought in the logistic regression model, one of the methods in this study uses the maximum likelihood method. The 2017 Indonesian Demographic and Health Survey (IDHS) collected various information, including about toddler diarrhea. Therefore, the logistic regression method is the right method to use in this condition, considering that the diarrhea data collected in the IDHS are categorical data. In this study, the variables influencing toddler diarrhea werechild age, birth size (average),exclusive breastfeeding, maternal age, maternal education (high school), wealth index (top), and latrine facilities The results of the logistic regression analysis showed that the variable with the highest risk figure for reducing the diarrhea rate was wealth index (top) (OR=1,438).

Abstract

According to WHO (2008), Maternal Mortality Rate(MMR) is one success indicator of health servicesin a country. Maternal death can occur due toseveral reasons, such as anemia. Iron deficiency isa major cause of anemia in pregnant womencompared with a deficiency of other nutrients.Anemia is a health problem experienced by womenaround the world, especially in developingcountries.World Health Organization (WHO) reported thatthe prevalence of pregnant women who have irondeficiency is around 35-75% and thus increase inaccordance of the gestation. According to theWHO, 40% of maternal deaths in developingcountries are associated with anemia in pregnancyand most of anemia in pregnancy is caused by irondeficiency and acute bleeding, or both.Riskesdas data in 2013 indicate that there are25.3% of the total number of pregnant women inEast Java or around 24 people pregnant womensuffer from iron deficiency anemia duringpregnancy. The health of pregnant women need tobe improved in order to achieve the fifth MDGs, itshould be highly considered about the distributionof Fe tablets 30 and tablets 90, as well as the K1and K4 visit by pregnant women.Distribution of Fe tablet 30 and tablets 90 indistrics and cities need to be compared using thestatistic test namely T-test while to find the effectof tablet Fe 30 tablets in the K1 pregnancy visit andthe effect of tablet Fe 90 tablets in K4 pregnancyvisit by using regression.Research purposes :1. To analyze the differences between distributionof Fe tablets 30 and Fe tablets 90 ini districs andcities.2. To analyze the effect of Fe tablets 30 in K1pregnancy visit and the effect of the Fe tablets 90in K4 pregnancy visit, also its effectiveness in EastJava Province.Benefits of the research :Improve maternal health with the equality on thedistribution of Fe tablets 30 and Fe tablets 90 ineach districs and cities.

Abstract

Infant Mortality Rate (IMR) is one of the indicators in the MDGs. Data show that IMR in East Java in 2014 has not been able to achieve the MDGs. AKB higher indicates the number of infant deaths in an area becomes high. The number of infant deaths classified as discrete data. Analysis of factors that can be used to discrete data is negative binomial regression. Negative binomial regression has advantages such as the absence of assumptions equidispersi the poisson regression. The research aims to analyze the access to health services (the ratio of public health centers and the ratio of midwives) which may affect on  the number of infant deaths in East Java. This is non reactive research that used published secondary data. Results showed that access to health services (the ratio of public health centers and the ratio of midwives) can affect the number of infant deaths. Infant mortality decreased when the ratio of public health centers and the ratio of  midwives increases. Keyword :  AKB, the number of infant deaths, binomial negative regression, the acsess to health service
