Abstract

Everyone has creativity as well as students. In mathematics learning, creativity is needed in problem solving. Each student has a different creativity in mathematical problem solving because many factors influence, one of them is viewed from gender differences. The objective of this study is to describe the Junior High School students’ creativity in polygon Problem Solving based on gender differences. The data analysis was done by giving problem solving assignments and interviews. It was followed by the second assignment including an interview that was equal to the first one. Then, it was continued by triangulation (triangulation time) to check the validity of the data. It can be concluded that the students with those four types of personality have different creativity in polygon problem solving. The creativity of students of SMPN 2 Menganti Gresik class VII who are female is more creative. Because female students can fulfilled all three components namely fluency, flexibility, and novelty. The creativity of students of SMPN 2 Menganti Gresik VII class who are male is not creative because they are only able to fulfilled two components namely fluency and novelty but do not fulfilled three components of creativity. Keywords: Creativity, Gender Differences, Polygon, Problem Solving Abstrak: Setiap orang memiliki kreativitas begitu juga peserta didik atau siswa.

Abstract

This photobioreactor research was carried out using Chlorella vulgaris algae as an O2-producing reactor and optimizing light energy as its energy source, with dimensions of 40x50x60 cm with control of pH, temperature, and chemical visibility factors. Variations are given by providing a supply of CO2 in both types of photobioreactors. Then it can be seen the concentration of O2 produced from the photobioreactor and its ability to overcome CO2 gas emissions. The use of glass as a reactor-making material is because glass is able to absorb visible light wavelengths in the range of 400–750 nm where at that wavelength microalgae can live and reproduce well. Before selecting the lamp used for the photobioreactor system. Measurements were carried out on two photobioreactors, namely, photobioreactors supplied and not supplied with CO2, and using three types of light sources, namely halogen lamps, LEDs, and sunlight. The maximum oxygen concentration value was produced by the photobioreactor supplied with CO2. The average percent error of the designed tool is 1.383% which is obtained by comparing the value of the designed tool with the reference measuring instrument.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to describe in detail the critical thinking skills of its students in terms of students' multiple intelligences through the PLGI (Peer Led Guied Inquiry) learning model. The indicators used are adopted from Facione which includes interpreting, analyzing, evaluating, and inferring. The type of research used is qualitative with a descriptive approach. The instruments in this study include multiple intelligences test questionnaires, KBK 1 and 2 test questions, and interview guidelines. The research subjects were taken from the results of the MI test questionnaire which consisted of four research subjects representing each type of intelligence which included logical-mathematical, linguistic, visual-spatial, and intrapersonal intelligence. After that, KBK 1 and 2 tests were given and interviews were conducted with research subjects. Checking the validity of the data using time triangulation, and data analysis include reducing data, presenting data, and drawing conclusions. From the results of the study, unique facts were found which showed that the critical thinking abilities of students with logical-mathematical intelligence and students with visual-spatial intelligence have in common, namely being able to meet only two indicators so that their critical thinking abilities lie at a fairly critical level. Then students with linguistic intelligence can meet three indicators so that their critical thinking skills lie at a critical level. Meanwhile, students with intrapersonal intelligence can fulfill all critical thinking indicators, so their critical thinking skills lie at a very critical level.
