Abstract

Rapid technological developments influence various aspects of life. And that makes the use of Internet technology as a part of carrying out daily activities. But the need for adequate Internet networks is hampered by limited bandwidth capacity in the network. Measurements made on limited capacity testing networks aim to determine the characteristics of the testing network and the rate of traffic in the network. In the testing network, the average bandwidth capacity was 3.61 Mbps, and the average rate of traffic was 1,428 Mbps. The rate of traffic that occurs in the testing network is worth 1/3 of the highest bandwidth capacity on the testing network which is 4,76 Mbps. With the characteristics of continuous packet delivery of 70%, and bulk packet delivery by 30%. Through the results of the characteristics of the package delivery, the background traffic model that is constructed describing the transmission of bulk packets will be transmitted after 7 continuous packets sent. Background traffic modeling can be a reference in conducting content delivery simulations in network simulations application that resemble the characteristics of testing network

Abstract

The connectivity of the internet network is something that cannot be separated from the daily activities at present. The speed of data transfer and the quality of service becomes a benchmark for its assessment. Universitas Advent Indonesia is an educational institution that provides internet access to all campus residents as a means for students to search for data and information. The bandwidth allocated for students is 60 Mbps, while 40 Mbps is allocated for office buildings and lecturer housing which are also within the campus area. This study uses bandwidth, throughput, delay, jitter, and packet loss parameters using Iperf, Ping, and Command Prompt software to find out the Quality of Service from an internet connection on campus. The research aims to 1) determine the performance of internet network services and 2) provide results of measurements of the analysis of Quality of Service at Universitas Advent Indonesia. The research methodology used for this study is to use literature studies and direct research in several strategic locations. The conclusions of this study are: 1) the performance of the internet network in the NACB area, male dormitory and female dormitory is very good with an index value of 4 based on the calculation of QoS parameters, namely bandwidth, delay, jitter, throughput and packet loss. 2) the quality of internet client network services has met the standardization value according to the TIPHON version. The average value of client bandwidth capacity obtained from NACB is data transfer speed of 6.48 Mbps. The average value of the client bandwidth capacity of the male dormitory is 13.2 Mbps. While the average value of client bandwidth capacity in female dormitories is 10.1 Mbps. Keywords: quality of service, internet, bandwidth, throughput, delay, jitter, packet loss

Abstract

In this globalization era, the need for security is increasing, in addition to data or information security but also a sense of physical security, therefore security guard services are still needed to protect certain places or regions. In this case, PT. Bravo Security Indonesia as a security guard distributor company, requires many prospective security guards to be able to work in various public or private agencies. The purpose of this study is to design an online-based recruitment system that can be used by applicants as well as the personnel department at PT. Bravo Security Indonesia. The expected analysis and design is to be able to analyze the information or data requirements for the recruitment process aimed at prospective security guards who want to apply for this company. The design uses the waterfall model, whose modeling requires Need Analysis (Recruitment Analysis), System Design (System Design), Program Code Making (Coding), Implementation and Testing (Testing), and Support and Maintenance (Support and Maintenance). The results are in the form of an online recruitment system specifically for the personnel department, because personnel will have the information needed to be able to assess applicants before they are called to proceed to the direct interview session. In addition to simplifying the process of recruiting security guards, this system is also expected to make data collection of new security guards easier and integrated with the system, and suggestions for the future are that the system can be developed to recruit employees other than security guards.

Abstract

2019 Indonesian Presidential Election is crowded to be discussed in the real world and also cyberspace, specifically on Twitter. Everyone is free to agree on the 2019 Indonesian Presidential candidate pair. Opinion raises many opinions, not only positive or neutral opinions but there are also negative opinions. Twitter's is now one of the most effective and efficient promotional or campaign venues to attract supporters. In this case, the researcher will conduct research on community leaders who are running for the presidency of Indonesia. The research method used in this study is the Naïve Bayesian Classifier classification algorithm. The data used are Indonesian tweets with Jokowi (# Jokowi2Periode) and Prabowo (#PrabowoSandi) keywords totaling 1009 data tweets for 5 months starting from September 1, 2019 to 31 January 1, 2019. Indonesia, namely Jakarta, Bandung, Medan, and Surabaya. Each data will be taken manually by using the Geolocation API that has been provided by Twitter via a Twitter search. The results of the classification using the Naïve Bayesian Classifier algorithm received 839 positive tweets, 32 negative tweets, and 67 neutral tweets from 938 overall tweets, or in the form of a percentage, there were 90% containing positive sentimen, 3% negative, and 7% negative sentimen towards Mr. Joko Widodo. And 56 positive tweets, 6 negative tweets, and 8 neutral tweets from 70 overall tweets, or in the form of the percentage there are 80% positive sentimens, 9% negative sentimens, and 11% neutral sentimens towards Mr. Prabowo. The level of accuracy generated from the Naïve Bayesian Classifier algorithm itself for this study amounted to 77.62%.

Abstract

Rapid technological developments contribute a positive impact on some aspects of life. This research will discuss on transmission of multimedia content in the limited capacity network (up to 5 Mbps), especially to study feasibility of multimedia content delivery quality in limited capacity network. Observation methods include measurement of limited capacity network, and simulating the network to study the feasibility of multimedia content delivery Quality of Service (QoS) over limited capacity network. In our research, multimedia content is transmitted using H264 720p configuration. Simulation that was developed based on network measurement results, and configured with research needs. The results of simulation show that the network condition on testbed network were enough and feasible ni terms of multimedia content delivery quality of service even through limited capacity network.

Abstract

Advances in Information and Communications Technology these days have been growing fastly, and Web-based application software is one of its obvious examples. Based on this fact, this study aims to (1) assist PT. Meerkats Flexipack Indonesia in presenting a job vacancy information and processing applicants data on database so the HRD division can easily find the right applicant data, (2) facilitate prospective employees in getting a job vacancy information and apply a job without come directly to the company. By using the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) method such as Waterfall model which includes the stages of planning, analysis, design and implementation of the system. The results achieved from this research is a web-based acceptance information system. With the implementation of this system, companies can easily provide a job vacancy information and choose the applicants who want and applicants who will apply for jobs can also easily access and provide information without having to come directly to the company. In addition, the use of this system can reduce the pile of paper files that can take up space.

Abstract

Nowadays the development of technology affects many aspects in life, including financial transaction. In Universitas Advent Indonesia, the payment still using conventional method alias using cash for payments. That causes some possibility of error on payments, and also the users can’t trace their payments history. The application developed is expected to become a payments alternative in campus. The application developed based on old system requirement analysis and developed using Android with PHP as a backend. The payment process is validated using QR Code, both to make transactions between sellers and users, as well as fellow users. The results of the study are a QR Code-based payment application that can run well and is tested both functionally and in appearance.

Abstract

The development of technology today allows many people to be able to maximize the use of the internet in meeting their daily needs. One of the applications used is Shopee with the Shopee Food service which offers many promos and various food options. The purpose of this research was to see the effect of the attributes in Webqual 4.0 on the projection of the Kano Model regarding customer satisfaction with ShopeeFood services. In this case, the researcher will conduct research on Indonesian Adventist University students as respondents to the research. The division of the questionnaire is divided into two main parts, namely the webqual method questionnaire which assesses the reality and expectations of the service, and the Kano model which assesses the functionality, dysfunctionality and importance of each feature or attribute. The results of the research show that the respondents were satisfied with the ShopeeFood service with a score of the Usability aspect with a score of 4.15, Information Quality with a value of 4.02, and Service Interaction Quality with a value of 4.00. The results of webqual data processing are supported by the results of the kano model questionnaire data processing. Where satisfaction with the ShopeeFood service is reflected in the presence of several features/attributes that meet the expectations of users. Overall, each feature/attribute is included in the Attractive category (A).

Abstract

User needs for applications considering rapid technological advancements present unique challenges. In this context, the KANO method is employed to provide an overview of the required features and to depict user perception of needs and satisfaction levels. The application designed for the RIOT Indonesia running community offers 10 attributes/features: Attractive UI, Easy to Use, Informative, Data Security, App Performance, Notification Feature, Attendance Feature, Gamification Feature, Strava Integration, and Calendar of Activities. The distributed questionnaire is expected to yield results that map out each feature. In conclusion, this study successfully captured respondents’ perceptions of feature requirements for the RIOT:ID application. Responses from participants helped categorize each feature, revealing that Data Security is a high-importance, One-dimensional feature, although it has a lower impact on satisfaction. Seven features, including Attractive UI, Ease of Use, and Strava Integration, fall under the Attractive category, indicating their significance and potential to enhance satisfaction. Conversely, Notification and Gamification features have minimal influence on user satisfaction.
