Abstract

Problem-solving skills are needed in solving various problems both academically and authentically. However, from the results of field studies, students' problem-solving skills are still relatively low. The authentic learning approach has received much scientific support to overcome this kind of problem. However, authentic learning-based teaching materials have not been widely developed, especially for high school physics learning. The specific purpose of this research is to describe the validity of the developed electronic teaching materials. This study uses the research design and development of the ASSURE model. Electronic teaching material validation data was obtained using a validation sheet. Validation is based on expert validation consisting of 1 practitioner and two academics. Validation data is expressed by the average value of the total score for each aspect of the assessment, and the calculation results are adjusted to the validity criteria. The results showed that: the validity of electronic teaching materials was categorized as valid with an average score of 3.90. It was concluded that authentic learning-based electronic teaching materials were declared valid and could be used as a stage for class trials on optical instrument materials

Abstract

Student learning achievement does not only depend on students' ability to solve problems. Learning achievement also depends on the suitability of the good questions, so the questions need to be tested for empirical validity. This study aims to analyze the problem of critical thinking skills. The research method is quantitative descriptive method. The subjects of the trial were 32 students of class XII IPA in high school in the city of Banjarmasin. The technique of collecting data uses a test of critical thinking skills. The results of the research data are processed using the RASCH model with the Winstep program to obtain information related to infit, outfit, and undimensionality items. The results showed that with the mean MNSQ OUTFIT criteria of 1.07, ZSTD OUTFIT 0, reliability based on item separation was 1.78 with special categories and proved to be fit tests with the model. The reliability of the question using apron cronbach is 0.64. Based on the RASCH analysis there are 3 questions that are outliert. The results of the study show that critical thinking skills in dynamic electrical material can be used with improvement.

Abstract

AbstractThere is no physics e-module that contain between physics and local wisdom becames the background of the research. It is also the reason why the research is conducted to develop physics e-module of temperature and heat with local wisdom through sigil application. This research aimed to describe the appropriateness of e-module of temperature and heat material with local wisdom which was suitable to use in learning activity, with the special purposes of describing: 1) physics e-module validity, 2) practicality of physics e-module and 3) effectiveness of physics e-module. This research was the development study by using ASSURE development model. The samples of the subject were 19 student in X class of SMK in Banjarmasin city. The data was obtained from sheet validation, questioner of student’s response and the learning outcome. The result of the research showed that: 1) the validation was valid with the score 3,5, 2) the e-modul practicality categorized practice with the average score of 2,97 and 3) the effectiveness e-module had medium category with N-gain score 0,59. The conclusion of this research is e-module of temperature and heat material with local wisdom through sigil application is appropriate to use in learning activity.AbstrakBelum tersedianya e-modul fisika yang memuat kaitan antara materi fisika dengan kearifan lokal melatarbelakangi dilakukannya penelitian ini. Oleh karena itu, dilakukan penelitian pengembangan e-modul suhu dan kalor bermuatan kearifan lokal melalui aplikasi sigil. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu mendeskripsikan kelayakan e-modul suhu dan kalor bermuatan kearifan lokal berbasis sigil yang dikembangkan, dengan tujuan khususnya yaitu mendeskripsikan: 1) validitas e-modul fisika, 2) kepraktisan e-modul fisika dan 3) efektivitas e-modul fisika. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan dengan menggunakan model pengembangan ASSURE. Subjek uji coba adalah 19 orang siswa kelas X salah satu SMK di Kota Banjarmasin. Data diperoleh melalui lembar validasi, angket respon siswa dan tes hasil belajar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: 1) validitas e-modul berkategori valid dengan nilai sebesar 3,5, 2) kepraktisan e-modul berkategori praktis dengan skor rerata yaitu 2,97 dan 3) efektivitas e-modul berkategori sedang dengan skor n-gain yaitu 0,59. Diperoleh simpulan bahwa e-modul suhu dan kalor bermuatan kearifan lokal berbasis sigil layak digunakan dalam pembelajaran.

Abstract

[Title: Development of Physics Cognitive Instruments Of Junior High School Students]  This study aims to develop cognitive instruments on energy and business materials, simple aircraft and light quality. The specific purpose of this study is to describe: (1) the validity of cognitive instruments seen from Outfit MNSQ, ZSTD, and Pt Measure Corr; (2) the reliability of cognitive instruments seen from the values of individual separation, grain separation, and Cronbach Alpha; (3) the degree of difficulty seen from the logit value in the measurement column; This development research refers to the development model of Borg and Gall with the subject of research of 200 students of class VIII originating from several SMPN in Banjarmasin. Instrument collecting data in the form of validation and cognitive instruments. Data analysis techniques are descriptive and quantitative. The results showed: (1) five items of description on light material, nine items about the description of simple plane materials and nine items about the description of energy materials and businesses that are categorized as valid; (2) reliability of cognitive instruments seen from individual separation values, grain separation values, and Cronbach Alpha values are categorized as very reliable; (3) the difficulty level of questions seen from the logit of categorized is very difficult, difficult, easy, and very easy.

Abstract

Belum tersedianya materi ajar fisika yang bermuatan authentic learning menyebabkan keterampilan pemecahan masalah peserta didik masih tergolong rendah. Penelitian ini bertujuan menghasilkan materi ajar pada pokok bahasan usaha energi dengan bermuatan authentic learning yang layak digunakan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan pemecahan masalah, berdasarkan aspek validitas, kepraktisan, dan keefektivan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan dengan model ASSURE. Subjek uji coba penelitian ini adalah 23 orang peserta didik kelas X MIPA 1 SMAN 12 Banjarmasin. Data diperoleh melalui lembar validitas materi ajar, lembar pengamatan keterlaksanaan RPP, dan tes hasil belajar peserta didik yang memuat indikator keterampilan pemecahan masalah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) validitas materi ajar yang dikembangkan memperoleh skor sebesar 3,09 dengan kategori valid; (2) kepraktisan materi ajar yang dikembangkan memperoleh skor sebesar 3,72 dengan kategori sangat praktis; dan (3) efektivitas materi ajar yang dikembangkan memperoleh skor n-gain sebesar 0,52 dengan kategori sedang. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa materi ajar bermuatan authentic learning pada pokok bahasan usaha energi layak digunakan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan pemecahan masalah peserta didik.

Abstract

Keterampilan pemecahan masalah menjadi tuntutan abad 21, namun masih banyak peserta didik yang belum terlatih untuk memecahkan masalah. Maka dari itu penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan keterampilan pemecahan masalah peserta didik SMP di Banjarmasin. Penelitian dilakukan sebagai studi awal dalam tahapan pertama model 4-D (Define) bersama 20 peserta didik SMP. Data didapatkan dari tes keterampilan pemecahan masalah. Hasil tes keterampilan pemecahan masalah menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata pada tahapan memahami masalah yaitu 21,06 dengan kategori kurang baik, membuat rencana dengan rata-rata 4,72 berkategori tidak baik, melaksanakan rencana dengan rata-rata 3,33 berkategori tidak baik dan mengecek kembali dengan rata-rata 4,17 berkategori tidak baik. Dengan demikian, peserta didik masih belum terampil dalam memecahkan masalah. Sehingga perlu adanya upaya dari guru dan sekolah untuk melatihkan peserta didik memecahkan masalah. Problem-solving skills are the demands of the 21st century, but many students still have not been trained to solve problems. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the problem-solving skills of junior high school students in Banjarmasin. The research was conducted as an initial study in the first stage of the 4-D model (Define) with 20 junior high school students. The data was obtained from the problem-solving skills test. The results of the problem-solving skills test show that the average at the stage of understanding the problem is 21.06 with a bad category, making plans with an average of 4.72 in the bad category, implementing plans with an average of 3.33 in the bad category and checking returned with an average of 4.17 in the bad category. Thus, students are still not skilled in solving problems. So there needs to be an effort from teachers and schools to train students to solve problems.

Abstract

Considering the importance of problem-solving skills in the 21st century, students should be trained in these skills, especially in sciences such as physics. Therefore, teaching materials such as worksheets are needed to train these skills. This study aims to describe the effect of digital worksheets on dynamic fluids with authentic learning in training students' problem-solving skills. The type of research used is pre-experimental with a one-group pretest-posttest design, with research subjects consisting of students in one of the XI MIPA classes in Barito Kuala Regency. The research data was collected through problem-solving skill tests before and after using the digital worksheets with the same material and then analyzed using normalized N-gain or gain scores. The results showed that the effect of the digital worksheets was in the high category with an N-gain score of 0.75, and students reached a good category in problem-solving skills. Therefore, it can be concluded that the digital worksheets on dynamic fluids with authentic learning effectively train students' problem-solving skills and can be used as input for teachers to train students' problem-solving skills.

Abstract

Scientific literacy is one of the primary objectives of scientific education. Despite this, field research indicates that scientific literacy remains inadequate. The approach of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) and local wisdom have scientifically obtained substantive supports in addressing comparable challenges. However, the STEM-based Learner Worksheet and the incorporation of local wisdom into scientific education remain underdeveloped. The purpose of this research is to describe the validity of thermal energy worksheet based on STEM and local wisdom in enhancing scientific literacy. This research and development employed the Borg and Gall model. The validation sheet used to acquire the worksheet validation data were reviewed by two practitioners and three experts. The validation data was derived by averaging the validator's scores on all assessment components, with the calculation outcomes being modified to adhere to the validity criteria. The results indicated that the validity of the worksheet based on STEM and local wisdom of thermal energy material was classified as very valid with an average score of 3.49. Therefore, the worksheet based on STEM and local wisdom regarding thermal energy materials are deemed valid and can be implemented in the subsequent phase of classroom trials.
