Abstract

This study aims to determine the feasibility of learning media electronic module (e-module) based on Kvisoft Flipbook Maker Pro on derivative material with Scientific approach using Research and Development research methodology. The study was conducted in two schools by taking 4 students as a student response in small classes and 20 students in a large class. The research instrument used in the form of evaluation formative form of teaching materials for material experts, media experts, and student responses. From the result of the assessment of expert material instrument obtained an average score of 101.25 with very good criteria, the assessment of expert media instruments obtained an average score of 116 with good criteria as well as on student response instruments obtained 86.44 with very good criteria. These results indicate that the e-module of mathematics with the scientific approach of the derived material for the XI class of the even semester high school is worthy of use in the process of learning in the classroom.

Abstract

Vector analysis is one of the cource listed in the curriculum of the Mathematics Education Department, Faculty of Education and Teacher Traning, Universitas Ahmad Dahlan. One of the factors which cause any difficulties and problems in learning Vector Analysis is the student literature used by almost all of the students. That student literature explained a ressume of materials in a brief way completed with many practises., that’s why, the student literature seems too mechanistics. Many student can not use it by theirselves, they need guidances to read that book. In order to solve that problem, teacher designed a student worksheet which is used by the students of the Vector Analysis course when the class is runing. The design of the student worksheet is a concept-based designed. The students can investigate some formulas during the learning of Vector Analysis by theirselves. On the other hand, students can solve some practises contained in the student worksheet easier since the practises is completed with the intructions step by step. During the cource of Vector Analysis, the given student worksheet has a positive response from the student based on the quetionnaire taken from the students. Around 69,2% of the students give their positive response to the student worksheet. The mean of the students score also increased from 60,3 to 80,1. This shows that using the student worksheet in Vector Analysis cource was very useful.

Abstract

The paper is wriTten due to  the lack of motivation of  second junior high school Muhammadiyah boarding school Pleret Yogyakarta  students  in even semester in 2017/2018. The purpose of the paper is to increase the motivation of students in learning mathematics with STAD learning method of  The second junior high school Muhammadiyah boarding school Pleret Yogyakarta in even semester 2017/2018. The type of this observation is class action research that subject are the girl of second junior high school Muhammadiyah boarding school Pleret Yogyakarta  students in even semester 2017/2018.  The object of the research isthe mathematics learning process by applying STAD. The research did in two cycles. The instruments that used are the interview guidelines, observation guidelines, and  questionnaires. Collecting data did by interview observation and questionnaires. The data analysis that used is data reduction, data display and trigunalsi. According to the research, it show that the learning motivation get increase from cycle I to cycle II. It showed by every aspect : diligent doing the assignment by students are  50% (enough) to 57% (enough), tenacious face the problem by the students are 53% (enough) to 57% (enough), like more working alone by students are 52% (enough) to 56% (enough), more get boringfor daily assignments are 61% (high) to 63% (high), able to keep his opinion 58% (low) to 70% (high).Keywords: STAD learning, learning motivation

Abstract

This research was carried out based on the existing conditions, the students were less communicative with the teacher and student’sawareness of the importance of the discussion was still low. This studyaims to improve student communication with cooperative learning modeltype Two Stay Two Stray In class VIII B Junior High School 4 Sewoneven semester academic year 2017/2018. This research is an actionresearch. The study was conducted in two circles, one cycle consisting oftwo meetings. The research subjects were students of grade VIII B Junior High School 4 Sewon Bantul Yogyakarta, totaling 32 students. The object of this research is mathematical communication of students inmathematics learning with cooperative learning model type two stay twostray. Data collection techniques berupa observation and interviews. Theinstruments used are a student mathematical communication observation, teacher observation, and interview. Data analysis usesqualitative descriptions. The indicators of success are shown byincreasing mathematical communication that achieves good criteria. Theresults showed that the percentage of students mathematicalcommunication skill in cycle I was 38.35% with less criteria. The cycle IIit increased to 62.84% with good criteria. Abstract

This research aims to improve learning motivation in Advance Calculus study by using the Number Head Together learning model Mathematics Education FKIP University of Ahmad Dahlan (UAD) year 2017/2018. This research is a classroom  action research. Subjects in this research is the B class of Mathematic Education  FKIP UAD 2017/2018 year 2017/2018 who take Advance Calculus course. Meanwhile, the object of the research is the application of  NHT learning model in Advanced Calculus courses in Mathematics Education  Study Program FKIP UAD year  2017/2018. The research was carried out as much as 2. Data collected by observation and questionnaire. The data used is quantitative descriptive analysis. The results shows that the NHT learning model can increase student’s learning motivation in duplicate integrals. This can be seen from the percentage of learning motivation in cycle I  by 64% (good) and cycle II 80% (very good). Keywords: motivation of learning, NHT, Advance Calculus

Abstract

This research is based on the low self-confidence of students and attention from parents that was lacked at SMP Negeri 1 Kasihan, Bantul Regency. The aims is to find out that there is a positive and significant relationship between the students self-confidence and the attention of the parents with the mathematics learning outcomes of the 8 th grade student of  SMP Negeri 1 Kasihan, Bantul Regency in the academic year of 2017/2018. The research population students of class VIII was 164 students. Class VIII D was obtained as a sample class with random sampling technique for the class. Techniques of collecting data used method of questionnaire to obtain data of mathematics result. Theinstrument test includes of validity test, power different test, and reliability test.Analysis prerequisite test incudes of normality test, linearity test, andindependence test. Data analysis using the product moment analysis andmultiple linear regression analysis. The result showed that there was a positive and significant relationship between student confidence and parents attention with the result of mathematics subject of the 8th grade student of SMP Negeri 1 Kasihan, Bantul Regency in the academic year of 2017/2018. It shown by F count > F 0,316 table= 4,222 > 3,32, R = 0,469 and R + 0,039, SR 2 = 0,220 with = 58,045 + = 93,596  % and SR =  6,404  %,SE =  20,559 % and SE =  1,407  %. Keywords: Self-Confidence, Attention of Parents, Mathematics LearningOutcomes

Abstract

The background of this research by the low level student learning interest, less condusive learning environment in students homes, and the low learning outcomes of mathematics. The aims of this research to find out whether or not there is a positive and significant relationship between Learning Interest and Learning Environment at Home with Class X Mathematics Learning Outcomes of MIPA SMA Negeri 3 Cialacap Even Semester Academic Year 2017/2018. The samples were taken by random sampling technique and selected class X MIPA 1 as the sample class. Technique of collecting data:test and questionnaire method.Instruments testing: validity, different power, and reliability test. Prerequisite test analysis: normality test, independent test, and linearity test. Analysis of the data simple regression analysis and multiple correlation analysis regression.The results showed that there was positive and significant relationship between learning interest and the learning environment at homewith Class X mathematics learning Outcomes of MIPA SMA Negeri 3 Cialacapeven semester academic year of 2017/2018.This is indicated by = 3,479 > = 3,285dengan R=0,417 , R2 = 0,174, = −13,619 + 0,387 + 0,648, SR =29,130%, SR = 70,870%,  SE = 5,073%, dan SE = 12,342%. Keywords: Learning Interest, Learning Environment at Home, Mathematics Learning Outcomes.

Abstract

Banyak faktor yang berhubungan dengan hasil belajar matematika siswa. Kemampuan penalaran matematika, kedisiplinan belajar, dan perhatian orang tua merupakan beberapa faktor yang diduga berhubungan dengan hasil belajar siswa. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan  untuk mengetahui ada tidaknya hubungan antara kemampuan penalaran matematika, kedisiplinan belajar, dan perhatian orang tua dengan hasil belajar matematika siswa kelas VII Semester Genap SMP Negeri 05 Kepil Kabupaten Wonosobo Tahun Ajaran 2014/2015.Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 05 Kepil Kabupaten Wonosobo Tahun Ajaran 2014/2015 yang terdiri dari 4 kelas, yaitu kelas VIIA, VIIB, VIIC, dan VIID dengan jumlah seluruh siswa sebanyak 83 siswa. Terpilih sebagai kelas sempelnya kelas VIIA dan VIID yang terdiri dari 42 siswa, dengan menggunakan teknik (random sampling). Teknik pengambilan data dilakukan dengan metode tes untuk mengetahui kemampuan penalaran matematika dan hasil belajar matematika siswa, metode angket untuk memperoleh kedisiplinan belajar dan perhatian orang tua. Untuk uji instrument menggunakan uji validitas, uji reliabilitas dan daya beda. Setelah data terkumpul, dilakukan uji prasyarat analisis yang meliputi uji normalitas, uji independensi dan uji linieritas. Analisis data untuk pengujian hipotesis menggunakan analisis korelasi product moment dan analisis regresi linier ganda.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada hubungan yang positif dan signifikan antara kemampuan penalaran matematika, kedisiplinan belajar, dan perhatian orang tua dengan hasil belajar dengan . Koefisien korelasi ganda  sebesar 0,436 dan persamaan regresi   besar sumbangan relatif  variabel X  sebesar 45,6939551%, sumbangan relatif (SR) variabel X2 sebesar 38,14042013% dan sumbangan relatif  variabel X3 sebesar  16,16562477% dengan koefisien determinasi gandanya 0,190 serta sumbangan efektif  variabel X  sebesar 8,715087304%, sumbangan efektif (SE) variabel X2 7,274421542% dan sumbangan efektif  variabel X3 sebesar 3,083226894%. Kata Kunci     : kemampuan penalaran matematika, kedisiplinan belajar dan perhatian orang tua.
