Abstract

The aim of this research is to know and find out the practicality of ASSURE Model as one of instructional design implemented in the classroom. This research is taken during Pandemic covid-19 in English Department at PGRI Wiranegara University. From 38 learners, researcher divides the number of learners into 2 classes; they are online and offline class. There are 20 learners as offline class and the rest as online class. The instrument used on this research is questionnaire. During the implementation of ASSURE Model in three meetings, the researcher also requires observers. The involvement of observers is really needed to gain some additional benefit input for making positive revision or suggestion. There are two observers which taken from university lecturer. In gaining data, Researcher distributes similar items of questionnaire both to learners and observers. Based on the result from questionnaire, it is found that ASSURE Model is practical to be implemented both for offline and online class. Although, it is undeniable that there are some problems occur in online class during teaching activity but online class wholly stated that ASSURE Model practically used.

Abstract

. This study examines the effect of library facilities and services availability on numeracy literacy among Mathematics Education students at Universitas PGRI Wiranegara (UNIWARA). A quantitative survey design was employed. The sample was selected through purposive sampling, targeting students in at least their fifth semester who had visited the library, resulting in 25 respondents. Data were collected using a questionnaire to capture perceptions of library facilities and service availability and a test to measure numeracy literacy. Data analysis applied simple linear regression using SPSS and was supported by prerequisite tests (validity, reliability, normality, heteroscedasticity, and linearity). The results confirming that library facilities and services significantly influence students’ numeracy literacy. These findings highlight the library’s role as a learning hub that provides curated resources, practice opportunities, and academic support to strengthen numeracy competence in prospective mathematics teachers.

Abstract

In the modern educational landscape, the integration of technology into mathematics education is crucial, and prospective teachers are expected to be not only passive users but also adaptive developers of digital content. Despite being labeled as the "digital generation," a paradox has emerged where general technological proficiency does not equate to competence in specialized mathematics software. This study addresses the self-paced training needs of prospective mathematics teachers at Universitas PGRI Wiranegara, aiming to improve their ability to adapt learning software effectively. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, data were collected through questionnaires and in-depth interviews with final-year students, with the instruments validated through expert assessment and data triangulation to ensure reliability and accuracy. The study revealed a significant gap in technological proficiency: 88% of respondent demonstrated proficiency in basic visualization techniques, but only 4% mastered advanced features such as scripting. Analysis of self-paced learning patterns highlighted issues such as fragmented learning, reactive learning, and high cognitive load, underscoring the urgent need for a structured, project-based self-paced training roadmap. This roadmap will guide prospective teachers from understanding mathematical abstractions to effectively implementing digital functions, empowering them to become competent digital content developers and increasing the effectiveness of their teaching in technologically integrated classrooms.

Abstract

The sustainability of students' studies in the Mathematics Education Study Program is a crucial concern, especially amidst the various academic and non-academic challenges they face. This study aims to analyze the factors that motivate students to persist in studying in the Mathematics Education Study Program at Universitas PGRI Wiranegara (UNIWARA) Pasuruan, describe students' experiences in maintaining their study commitment, and identify the internal and external factors that most influence students' decisions to complete their studies. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach with 17 active students selected through proportional random sampling. Data collection was conducted through questionnaires, semi-structured interviews, and documentation using method triangulation techniques. Data analysis was conducted using the Miles and Huberman model, which includes data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of the study indicate that students' internal motivation is the most dominant factor that encourages them to persist in college, characterized by an interest in mathematics education, clear career goals, and personal commitment. These factors are strengthened by external support from family, lecturers, and peers, as well as students' resilience in facing academic challenges. The campus environment and administrative and academic systems play a role as supporting factors that help the study process run smoothly. The findings of this study indicate that student study sustainability is the result of an interaction between internal and external factors, with internal motivation as the main foundation in maintaining student commitment to study in the Mathematics Education Study Program.
