Abstract

Social media is web-based application that allows users to communicate, collaborate, and share resources with other people. Both being easy to access and easy to use make social media become an effective way to communicate and exchange ideas. Students can use social media to keep up with their friends, to stay up-to-date with news and current events, to fill up spare time, to find entertaining content, and to share opinions. The use of social media becomes famous for the students nowadays. Thus, the popularity of the social media among students can be used as a tool in language teaching. One of the famous social media is Instagram. Instagram is a social network that enables its users to take pictures and videos, and share them publicly or privately on the application, as well as through a variety of other social network. Through Instagram the students can post their photos or videos that can be commented by viewers. By using Instagram, teachers are offered great opportunity to develop classroom activities creatively. This paper will give an overview of the use of Instagram in teaching writing recount text in senior high school students.

Abstract

The process writing approach treats writing as a process rather than a completed product. Writing studies are conducted as part of the process due to the completion of the written text. In writing classes, this approach tends to focus on the student, and the teacher only acts as a guide. The process writing approach includes actions that occur when a written text is created. This research analyzed the benefits of the process approach as a teachers’ approach in order to enhance student writing skills in recount text. The researcher used the literature review and some of the previous research which has been conducted before as the measurements toward the process approach could improve student writing skill in recount text whether they understood the material which given by the teacher or not. As a result of the literature review and the previous research, the researcher found a significant influence of the process writing approach on writing progress and anxiety mainly in recount text. Based on this finding for written language research, the use of a process writing approach is recommended.

Abstract

The story of the Prophet Yusuf has always been studied in several aspects, namely aspects of linguistics, educational education, modern literature, and literary psychology. The focus of this research is on the climax of the story contained in verse 23, which tells the story of Prophet Yusuf's rejection of imra'at al-Aziz. This study uses a maqasi>di interpretation approach, an interpretive method that focuses or emphasizes the maqasi>d aspects of the Qur'an. Tafsir maqa>sidi in the verses of the story can be done by doing tadabbur (reflection) and analyzing badi' tauriyyah. The result of this study is the discovery of aspects of maqasid hifd al-di>n, hifd al-nafs, as well as human values ​​and responsibility.

Abstract

KSPPS NURI JATIM Pasongsngan Branch is a sharia-based savings and loan cooperative that provides various products, mudharabah, murabahah, musyarakah, wadiah, and Ar-rahn. Geographical factors that require people to do business make Ar-Rahn's products the most attractive to members, because Ar-Rahn will prepare financing funds on the condition that members bring valuable items, such as motorbike/car BPKB, land certificates, and also gold , as collateral for the financing. Therefore the purpose of writing this article is to find out the service mechanism, prevention efforts, and ways to resolve disputes between members and cooperatives. The method used is a descriptive qualitative method obtained from books, journals, and interviews with employees of KSPPS NURI JATIM, Pasongsongan Branch. The results obtained were that in preventing disputes using character analysis and economic ability as evidenced by conducting a survey, while the settlement used non-litigation negotiation theory, with the initial step of making a visit followed by forming a SUS TEAM with the permission of KSPPS NURI JATIM Center.

Abstract

 The  main  concern  of  the  present  study  is  to  investigate  the  students’ response in CNTS in Literal Listening. This study employs descriptive qualitative method. It involves 18 students who enrolled in Literal Listening Class. Data was gathered through questionnaire and interview. The results of the study showed that note taking was still presumably considered as difficult skill because most lecturers were still not familiar to it. Consequently the students often struggle to decide what to note as the lecturers do not tell what to include in note. However, Cornel Note Taking  System  was  generally  proven  helpful  study  tool  in  listening  activity particularly it is because CNTS was a systematic guided note that perceived to be very  helpful  for  students  to  be  a  good  note  taker.  Suggestions  are  proposed  for teacher  particularly  to  prepare  students  with  techniques  of  what  to  note  and instroduce it earlier so that it would become the students’ habit. The results of this study may also be addressed for those who are interested in this field particularly English lecturers or lecturers who have problems in teaching listening.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the process and outcomes of human resource assistance at TPQ Hidayatul Islam, Seglagah Hamlet, Sempu Village, Ngebel Subdistrict. The background of this activity is the limited quality and quantity of educators, which affects the effectiveness of Qur’anic learning. The research employed a descriptive qualitative approach through observation, interviews, and documentation during the mentoring process. The findings indicate that the assistance improved the competence of teachers in terms of mastering Qur’anic teaching methods, classroom management, and motivation in teaching. In addition, the mentoring program increased community participation in supporting the sustainability of TPQ. The implication of this research highlights the importance of continuous assistance programs to strengthen human resource capacity, enabling TPQ to optimize its role in realizing the goals of Islamic education at the community level.
