Abstract

The purpose of this research to examine financial ratios that affect financial distress condition of a firm effect of some of the financial ratios of five ratios are current ratio, profit margin, debt ratio, current liabilities to total assets, sales growth and inventory turnover in predicting financial distress conditions in textile and garment companies listed on the Stock Securities Indonesia from 2008 to 2011. Sampling technique conducted with a purposive sampling of the criteria specified then selected 14 companies in the sample, with category 0 for healthy firms and 1 for firms experiencing financial distress conditions using pre-tax loss for two consecutive years. The results using the logistic regression showed that financial ratios have to predict the potential effect of the condition of financial distress are Current ratio negatively affect the financial distress with a beta value of -8.939. Debt ratio positively affect the financial distress with a beta value of 5.305, while the current ratio negatively affect the financial distress with a beta value of -8.389. Keywords : Current Ratio, Profit Margin, Debt Ratio, Current Liabilities To Total Assets, Sales Growth, Inventory Turnover , Financial Distress

Abstract

The aim of this research is to show the potential of tree bark of mangrove (Avicennia sp.) plant as antibacterial to against Aeromonas hydrophyla. This bacterium causes fishery cultivation disease e.g. the MAS (Motile Aeromonads Septicemia). Antibacterial activity test was done using paper diffusion and dilution methods. The research result showed that extract of tree bark of mangrove (Avicennia sp.) plant having potency as antibacterial particularly to the A. hydrophyla.

Abstract

These research aims to isolate and identify alkaloid compound in acetone extracts from sambung nyawa leafs Gynura procumbens L. This compound obtained trough keeping the plant and isolation. The isolation consists of extraction, fractionation, purification, and identification. The identification consists of melting point test, three phase system test, and Dragendorf test. The results of the research are: 90 mg of white crystal with the range of its melting point is 134-1360 C. The crystals indicate positively with Dragendorf test. These results indicate that the compound can be classified in the alkaloid compound.   Keywords: alkaloid, acetone, Gynura procumbens L.

Abstract

DOWNLOAD PDFIn vitro examine of fractionated ethanol extract of bark Mangrove (Avicennia spp). showed high antibaterial activity. Repression test of extract formula showed that fish has a higher viability. Recent study has conducted to find the main compound as candidate prior to standardized product of phytopharmaca for future commercial purposes. The chromatography methods was  applied and  identification of  major compounds by analysis based on chemical test as well as spectral data of spectroscopic measurements. Study showed that main secondary metabolites in the form of alkaloid class of polar compounds. The white crystalline powder form characteristics has a melting point 172oC with molecular weight 232, and molecular formula is C12H12N2O3.   Key words: Main secondary metabolites, mangrove, Avicennia spp.     Â
