Abstract

The Hindu Religious Information Study Program, STAHN Mpu Kuturan Singaraja, is committed to producing Hindu religious instructors who have competencies according to the profile of graduates. The process of supporting the existence of the Hindu Religious Information Study Program requires optimization of core courses, one of which is Hinduism by carrying out a transformation of learning media, especially during the Covid-19 pandemic. The purpose of this study was to identify the transformation of learning media, to know the process of transforming learning media, and to identify the impact of the transformation of learning media to the core courses of Hindu Religious Information Study Program. This type of research is qualitative research, namely research that produces descriptive data in the form of words. Through analysis based on the theory of behaviorism and the theory of social change, Technological Determinism. The results of this study are preparing supporting facilities, participating in training, exchanging information and knowledge, and social media-based assignments. To support these efforts, the learning media transformation process includes: the selection of learning media and the implementation of distance learning media transformation in the Hindu Religious Information Study Program. The implication is that by increasing digital literacy, gaining ease in accessing information, being flexible, efficient and of good quality), the results of the research conclude that students are skilled in using social media as well as increasing the ability of lecturers and students in using IT, increasing student scores, and STAH Negeri Mpu Kuturan Singaraja institutions is ready in terms of digital transformation for mutual progress.

Abstract

This study examines the form, function and meaning of the Tawur Labuh Gentuh Ceremony in Taman Mayura, Mataram City. The reasons for choosing this location are as follows: 1) the Tawur Labuh Gentuh ceremony was held for the first time at Taman Mayura; 2) based on initial observations of Hindus in Mataram, not many people know about the implementation process and the meaning of the Tawur Labuh Genuh ceremony so that this ritual needs to be studied and socialized so that Hindus in Mataram City are more confident in carrying it out; 3) Rarely do counseling, dharma wacana or dharma tula to provide understanding to Hindus about the tawur labuh genuh ceremony. The approach used in this research is descriptive qualitative using communicative action theory, symbolic interactionism theory and communication semiotic theory. In general, this study aims to increase scientific insight about the tawur labuh gentuh ceremony carried out by Hindus in Mataram City. Thus, it can be disseminated to the public as well as to religious institutions in making a policy.Keywords: Tawur Labuh Gentuh Ceremony, Mayura Park, Mataram City

Abstract

The development of communication technology with its various new media platforms forms a new society called cyber society. The massive digital content consumed by the cyber community results in frequent miscommunication and disharmony due to a lack of responsibility and communication ethics. This research is a qualitative research using literature study. Based on the results of this study, ethics has a very vital role in communication in the cyber era. We must implement internet ethics in cyber society, starting with ourselves, family and those closest to us, learning to use the internet safely and responsibly. This is very important to prevent violations of the law contained in Law Number 19 of 2016 amendments to Law Number 11 of 2008 concerning Information and Electronic Transactions. Imprisonment sentences accompanied by fines of hundreds of millions to billions of rupiah await if they violate the ethics of communication in the cyber world.Keywords : communication ethics, cyber era.

Abstract

Communication is a fundamental need in human life. Bycommunicating, humans interact with God, fellow humans and the naturalenvironment to establish a harmonious life. Hindus in West Nusa Tenggaracarry out a tawur labuh gentuh ceremony at Mayura Park, Mataram Cityimplementing the tri hita karana concept. In the process of implementingthe tawur labuh gentuh ceremony, communication dynamics occur usingsymbols that need to be understood together. This study, entitled "RitualCommunication in the Tawur Labuh Gentuh Ceremony in Mayura Park,Mataram City", raises the issue, namely how is the form of ritualcommunication in the tawur labuh gentuh ceremony in Mayura Park,Mataram City? The general purpose of this research is to broaden scientificinsight about ritual communication and provide explanations to variousparties regarding the tawur labuh gentuh ceremony so that it can besocialized to the public and to religious institutions in making a policy. Itsspecific purpose is to describe and analyze the form of ritualcommunication in the tawur labuh gentuh ceremony in Mayura Park,Mataram City.This research was conducted using qualitative methods, so thatthe data analysis was carried out in a descriptive qualitative andinterpretative manner. Mayura Park, Mataram City, West Nusa TenggaraProvince was chosen as the research location because the tawur labuhgentuh ceremony was held in a large degree for the first time in this place.Besides that, the limited information makes Hindus not all know theprocession and the meaning of the ceremony from beginning to end, so itis deemed necessary to conduct research as a reference source. This formof ritual communication in the tawur labuh gentuh ceremony combinestwo theories used as a scalpel, namely Jurgen Habermas CommunicativeAction Theory and Charles Sander Pierce's Theory of CommunicationSemiotics.

Abstract

Membentuk generasi muda Hindu yang berkarakter mulia merupakan tugas dan tanggung jawab bersama. Dibutuhkan strategi komunikasi sebagai upaya untuk mewujudkan hal tersebut di tengah tantangan serta permasalahan kehidupan yang semakin berat dan kompleks. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif, sumber datanya berasal dari buku, artikel ilmiah dan penelitian terdahulu. Hasil penelitian ini manusia mempunyai lima aspek kepribadian yang dapat dikembangkan dan ditingkatkan yakni fisik, intelek, emosional, psikis dan spiritual. Menapaki fase kehidupan grehasta asrama diperlukan konseling praperkawinan untuk memantapkan langkah dalam mengarungi bahtera rumah tangga sehingga bisa mewujudkan keluarga yang sukinah. Pembentukkan watak seorang anak dalam ajaran agama Hindu sebelum anak lahir prenatal education diwujudkan dengan upacara magedong-gedongan dan mendidik disiplin orang tua. Pada lembaga pendidikan semua unsur di dalamnya harus memberikan teladan yang baik. Selain membekali anak didik dengan berbagai keterampilan untuk mencari nafkah juga menanamkan tatanan moral yang baik guna mencapai kehidupan yang mulia. Kerjasama seluruh pihak dalam segala lini kehidupan dari hulu ke hilir diharapkan dapat membentuk generasi muda Hindu berkarakter mulia.Kata kunci: Strategi Komunikasi, Generasi Muda Hindu, Berkarakter Mulia
