Abstract

Falling patients are the most common incidents in hospital settings. Falling is a serious problem and requires high costs for patients and also for all health facilities. The incidence of a fall patient has a detrimental impact on the patient, namely the impact of physical injury. Fall Prevention is one of the indicators in Patient Safety. Family understanding of falling risk interventions in adult patients plays an important role in the implementation of patient safety, especially in preventing falling patients.Objective: To find a picture of family understanding of falling risk interventions in adult patients in the Sari Mulia Hospital Banjarmasin.Method: This research uses descriptive analytic method. Sampling is done by simple random sampling technique. The sample used was 41 families of adult patients in the Inpatient Room of Sari Mulia Hospital Banjarmasin. The analysis used in this study is univariate to analyze family understanding of falling risk interventions in patients.Results: The results of this study showed a good family understanding of 37 people (90.2%) and a sufficient family understanding of 4 people (9.8%). Conclusion: Good family understanding of falling risk interventions in adult patients in the Inpatient Room of Sari Mulia Hospital Banjarmasin.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Trauma merupakan penyebab kematian utama, salah satunya adalah trauma kepala. Tenaga kesehatan harus menilai secara objektif keparahan trauma sehingga pentingnya sebuah sistem yang berfungsi untuk mendeskripsikan dan menilai trauma. Salah satu sistem yang dapat membantu yaitu sistem penilaian trauma. Ada banyak jenis sistem penilaian trauma, salah satunya Revised Trauma Score. Sistem penilaian trauma ini merupakan penilaian fisiologis yang dugunakan untuk menilai tingkat keparahan trauma. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui prediksi mortalitas kejadian trauma kepala dengan menggunakan Revised Trauma Score. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode observasional analitik dengan uji Mann Whitney. Pengambilan sampel dengan teknik Accidental Sampling. Jumlah sampel peda penelitian ini sebanyak 30 responden. Hasil penelitian ini didapatkan adanya rata-rata pasien hidup sebanyak 18,89 dan pasien meninggal sebanyak 6,19, dari ata-rata tersebut, dilakukan hasil uji statistik menggunakan Mann Whitney didapatkan nilai ρ (0,000) < α (0,05). Kesimpulan penelitian ini Revised Trauma Score dapat memprediksi kematian pada pasien trauma kepala yang di bawa ke IGD.

Abstract

Decubitus is a problem faced by chronic disease patients, very weak patients, and patients who have been paralyzed for a long time, even now it is a secondary suffering experienced by many hospitalized patients, especially in the ICU. Objective: To determine the effectiveness of administering nigella sativa oil on the prevention of pressure sores in patients on prolonged bed rest in the ICU room at Pambalah Batung Amuntai Hospital. Methods: The research design used in this study is a quasi-experimental design with a nonequivalent control group design that provides pretest and posttest. The population in this study amounted to 35 people. The scale used in the decubitus assessment is the Northon Scale. Results: the most pretest results were in the category of prone to decubitus (12-15) as many as 12 people (80%) and high risk of developing pressure sores (>12) as many as 3 people (20%) and after giving nigella sativa oil with posttest results obtained that the most in the no risk category for pressure sores (16-20) as many as 8 people (53.3%), the vulnerable category for pressure sores (12-15) as many as 6 people (40%) and the high risk category for pressure sores (>12) as many as 1 person (6.7%). Conclusion: Based on the research conducted, there was an effect between before and after administration of nigella sativa oil on the prevention of pressure sores in patients on prolonged bed rest with the same p-value (0.000 < 0.05).
