Abstract

This study aims to explore the implementation of website that used in MAN 2 Bandarlampung. To overcome the problem structurally, the theoretical framework by discussing about theory and approach was conducted. The theories applied helped in finding out the implementation of this website. Meanwhile the approach was emphasized on one approach that is online media learning  in the learning process during pandemic. Moreover, this analysis applied descriptive qualitative method to depict clearly about the problem by using the words. The result of this analysis shows that the use of online learning, especially Rumah Belajar brings some factors for the teachers in deliver the material. First factor is from the technology, it has some benefits and also problems for the teacher. The second factor is the teachers behavior in using this website. It can be concluded this website is quite good to help the teacher to do the learning process during pandemic because this website has covered the teachers need, but the school has not explained some features, so it hinders the teacher from doing their best. The implementation of Rumah Belajar during pandemic  must have sufficient training to help teachers do their teaching during e-learning maximally. As a result Rumah Belajar during pandemic can assist in the implementation of online learning.

Abstract

The objective of the study is to find out whether or not there was a significant difference in descriptive paragraph writing enhancement of secondary students who were taught through shared writing and those who were not. This study was conducted by using an experimental method. The sample of the study was 35 eighth grade students taken by using convenience sampling technique, 18 students belonged to experimental group and 17 students belonged to control group. The data were collected through pretest and posttest. In order to maintain validity, content validity was applied. Then, two raters were used to maintain reliability of the result. The experimental group was taught for twelve meetings by using Shared Writing. The result showed the students in the experimental getting the mean 14.67 with standard deviation 2.058 and control group getting the mean 12.00 with standard deviation 1.414 got a significant improvement in the posttest. There was a better significant improvement in descriptive paragraph writing in the experimental group who are taught by using Shared Writing if compared to the students in the control group.

Abstract

Motivation is something that encourages someone's willingness to do something to achieve what they want. In this study, the motivation in question is motivation in the field of language learning, especially learning English. This study aims to discuss what kinds of instrumental motivation are encouraging students in learning English. In conducting this study, the researcher used Descriptive Qualitative Method. The data collecting technique used in this study was to conduct a survey using Google Form 'Questions (questionnaire) with the number of questions in the Google Form are six questionnaires with four answer choices (Strongly Agree, Agree, Disagree, Strongly Disagree). The subjects of the research are coming from the students of English Education major in Universitas Teknokrat Indonesia, especially students from PI18A class. The object of this research is students' perceptions about what kind of instrumental motivations that motivate them and how high the motivation they have when learning English. The results of the study indicate that the majority of participants have high instrumental motivation in learning English.
