Abstract

Waste management is problems are almost faced by all cities in Indonesia. Therefore, it is necessary to manage waste management with environmentally sound management in accordance with the mandate of Law No. 18 of 2008 on waste management. The aspect highlighted in the management of waste management in Pontianak City is the technical aspect of waste management and non-technical operations so that it can be known whether management of waste management is environmentally sound or unlike the bill of legislation. Pontianak City makes application-based innovations in managing garbage. The purpose of this research is to describe, analyse, and interpret, as well as recommendations on: (1) Waste management management covering technical aspects of operational and non-technical. (2) Environmentally sound and application-based waste management management. The methods used are qualitative descriptive, approach study studies, data sources derived from interviews with informant, observation and documentation. The data analysis technique used is interactive model analysis by reducing data, presenting data, drawing conclusions and verification.

Abstract

The research problem is about the story telling style of Dewi Lestari in Supernova tetralogy especially about the character and setting. The research purpose are to describe about the story telling style of Dewi Lestari concerning the characters and setting in Supernova tetralogy. The research is using descriptive method and qualitative form. Tetralogy Supernova consists of Kesatria, Putri, dan Bintang Jatuh; Akar; Petir;  and Partikel. Based on the result of the research, story telling style of Dee related to Dee characters that uses various techniques to describe his characters. The techniques are expocitory, dialogue, behavior, thinking used and feeling, and reaction of other characters which used by Dee completely in Supernova tetralogi. The five techniques used by Dee are to show the personality of all characters. Consciousness flow technique is used by Dee in KPBJ and Petir novels. But this technique can not be found in Akar and Partikel novel. Character reaction technique is used in Akar and Petir novels. But this technique can not be found in KPBJ and Partikel novels. Physic and setting description technique is also used by Dee to show the characters personality in Akar, Petir, and Partikel. These two technique can not be found in KPBJ novel. The description  character techniques  used shows that Dee’s story telling style is more dominant using expository, dialogue, behaviour, thingking and feeling, and reaction of other characters because they can be found in four Supernova novels. The techniques used by Dee is to show the personality of the characters. The story telling style by Dee deals with setting that Dee uses several dominant settings in tetralogy Supernova. Place setting  like foreign country and big city. Time setting like 20 century and 21 st century. Social setting like spiritual or religion, supernova letter, internet, free life, and friendship. Dee uses similar setting in every Supernova tetralogy. The similarity creates the uniqueness in Dee’s story telling style concering setting.

Abstract

Penelitian ini fokus terhadap problematika pembelajaran daring Bahasa Inggris di masa pandemiCovid-19 bagi mahasiswa Politeknik Negeri Pontianak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi media apa saja yang digunakan pada perkuliahan daring Bahasa Inggris bagi mahasiswa semester I Politeknik Negeri Pontianak, dan mendeskripsikan permasalahan yang dihadapi oleh mahasiswa pada perkuliahan daring Bahasa Inggris, serta mengetahui solusi terkait masalah yang dihadapi mahasiswa pada perkuliahan daring Bahasa Inggris. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif, dan data dikumpulkan dari wawancara kepada mahasiswa dan dosen; analisis dokumentasi terhadap materi pembelajaran dan tugas siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media yang digunakan dalam perkuliahan daring Bahasa Inggris adalah Zoom Meeting, Google Meet, Google Classroom, Whatsapp, Telegram, Quizizz dan Youtube. Masalah yang dihadapi oleh mahasiswa dan dosen terkait perkuliahan daring Bahasa Inggris adalah kurangnya interaksi sehingga mahasiswa sulit memahami materi, mahasiswa menjadi pasif, adanya gangguan pada jaringan, kamera rusak, mikrofon dan pengeras suara tidak berfungsi, biaya yang mahal, serta kurangnya penguatan, umpan balik, koreksi, dan sangsi. Solusi yang diambil untuk mengatasi masalah yang dihadapi adalah dosen melaksanakan kombinasi antara perkuliahan daring dan tatap muka dan mahasiswa lebih mandiri dalam belajar dan aktif bertanya ke dosen; dosen mengingatkan dan memotivasi mahasiswa untuk lebih aktif agar keterampilan bahasa mereka meningkat; mempersiapkan perangkat yang memadai untuk menunjang pelaksanaan perkuliahan daring; dan mengalokasikan anggaran untuk pembelian kuota agar perkuliahan daring dapat berjalan lancar.

Abstract

Undang-Undang Republik Indonesia Nomor 24 Tahun 2009 Pasal 32 menyatakan bahwa bahasa Indonesia wajib digunakan dalam komunikasi resmi di lingkungan kerja pemerintah dan swasta. Instansi pemerintah sudah seharusnya menerapkan undang-undang tersebut untuk berkomunikasi, baik tulisan maupun lisan. Penelitian ini dilakukan di instansi pemerintah Provinsi Kalimantan Barat. Komunikasi tulisan dapat digunakan oleh instansi melalui dokumen kedinasan.  Dokumen kedinasan, misalnya, surat edaran dan surat undangan. Surat edaran dan surat undangan tersebut seharusnya menggunakan bahasa Indonesia sesuai dengan amanat undang-undang. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui penggunaan bahasa Indonesia pada instansi pemerintah Provinsi Kalimantan Barat. Aspek yang akan dikaji dalam penggunaan Bahasa Indonesia yaitu ejaan bahasa Indonesia, diksi, dan kalimat efektif. Metode penelitian ini yaitu metode kualitatif. Sumber data penelitian ini yaitu surat edaran dan surat undangan yang telah dikeluarkan oleh instansi pemerintah Provinsi Kalimantan Barat tahun 2021 sampai dengan 2022.Hasil penelitian ini ditemukan kesalahan dalam ejaan bahasa Indonesia, khususnya huruf kapital, singkatan dan akronim, angka dan lambang bilangan, gabungan kata, preposisi di, tanda koma, kata turunan, dan huruf miring. Beberapa diksi yang digunakan juga tidak baku. Kesalahan kalimat efektif, yaitu pada kehematan kata.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian pada masyarakat (PPM) dilakukan oleh staff pengajar jurusan Administrasi Bisnis Politeknik Negeri Pontianak dengan tujuan untuk mempersiapkan Sumberdaya yang di butuhkan dalam perumusan dan pelaksanaan peraturan desa. Kegiatan pendampingan dan penyusunan peraturan memberikan dampak positif dalam peningkatan ekonomi masyarakat. Metode Pendampingan dilakukan secara tatap muka dengan memberikan ceramah dan diskusi terkait langkahlangkah perumusan peraturan desa dan membuat format penyusunan peraturan desa. Hasil kegiatan yang diperoleh yaitu seluruh aparatur desa dan perwakilan masyarakat memahami langkah-langkah penyusunan peraturan desa dan format penyusanannya. Selain itu memudahkan cara kerja Pemerintah Desa Rengas Kapuas dalam memahami manfaat ekonomi dan pelayanan publik yang dijalankan pada Pemerintah Desa Persiapan Rengas Kapuas Kabupaten Kubu Raya

Abstract

The Association of Business Administration Students (HMJ AB) at Polnep is an independent organization with autonomy within the scope of the Business Administration Department. In accordance with the HMJ AB Articles of Association, the functions of this student organization are, first, to serve as a platform for students in the Business Administration department to express their aspirations, interests, talents, and abilities. The second function is to develop the academic and practical works of students in the Business Administration department, share knowledge, shape mentality, and foster organizational attitudes and behaviours both within and outside the organization. Recognizing the importance of one of HMJ AB's functions in the aspect of knowledge sharing, this research is conducted because HMJ AB is an intra-campus organization, and Polnep has an interest in helping optimize this function to enhance the quality of graduates in line with the institution's vision and mission. This research is conducted at the State Polytechnic of Pontianak on HMJ AB, focusing on the practice of knowledge sharing (KS) from the perspective of the student organization. The objectives of this research are to know the practice of knowledge sharing in HMJ AB, identify the types of information commonly shared, explore the challenges in the practice of knowledge sharing in HMJ AB and solutions to overcome these challenges. This is a qualitative research study using a descriptive method. The data sources for this research are students affiliated with HMJ AB, the organization's executives, and HMJ advisors during the term of HMJ AB for the 2022-2023 period. Data collection is conducted through interviews and documentary studies. The research results indicate that knowledge sharing is already implemented, but the execution is not yet optimal, considering the number of KS activities conducted during the HMJ period, materials that are not tailored to the members' needs, and low attendance of members. The shared knowledge relates to government seminars, entrepreneurship seminars, coffee barista training, and social activities during Ramadan. Challenges include low member motivation, lacking soft skills, insufficient communication skills, and a lack of involvement from the department and lecturers in supporting KS activities. Proposed solutions from the respondents include discussions where members are involved in determining priority KS information to be shared, providing rewards, and enhancing communication between HMJ and internal or external parties.
