This research aimed at finding whether peer editing can enhance: (1) grammar and lexical competence in writing class of the first grade students of English Department of Siliwangi University whereas many students still have scores under minimum criteria accomplishment; and (2) to investigate the strengths and the weaknesses of peer editing applied in writing class whereas there are some technique used but they do not make any good solution. The method used in this research was classroom action research and was conducted in three cycles from April 5th until June 1st 2014.The procedures included identifying problem and planning, implementing action, observing, and reflecting. Data of the research was analysed through two kinds of analysing data. Quantitave data was analysed using descriptive statistics while qualitative one was analysed through the following steps, data reduction, data display, drawing conclusion and verification. The results of all cycles conducted as follows; In cycle I, the average score of grammar was 36 , lexical competence was 36.In cycle II it became 40 for grammar, 39 for lexical competence. In the cycle III it became 41 for grammar, 41 for lexical competence. Other findings show that the strenghts of peer editing when it is implemented in writing class, was the students gain independence and it is less threatening than teacher feedback. However, the weaknesses of the technique are, some students are too polite to correct their friends’ work, feel inferior to his/her peers, different level of their knowledge that causes different quality of each editing result such as making errors in correcting.

Many studies have examined the role of the Quizizz website as a medium of English language instruction, especially for assessment, and found it to have positively impacted learners’ learning enthusiasm and engagement. However, few studies have examined the linguistic and visual aspects of Quizizz from a multimodal perspective. To fill this void, this study aimed to explore the engagement aspects and representational functions underlying certain parts of the Quizizz website from the multimodal lens. Using the content analysis approach, the data were taken from relevant documents and analyzed using the Systemic Functional Multimedia Discourse Analysis (SFMDA) framework (O'Halloran, 2008) with a focus on the representational meaning of visual and engagement taxonomy for each textual data. The findings showed that the Quizizz website entailed multimodal engagement taxonomy (disclaim, proclaim, entertainment, and attributes) and representational function (transactional, non-transactional, and covert). Specifically, the most dominant types were proclaiming and entertainment, encouraging students and entertaining them while undertaking quizzes. Nonetheless, the data in visual analysis displayed more covert taxonomy, which can reduce the students' thinking concepts that better reflect equal diversity in the form of multimodal.

This paper examines the issues with a comprehensive systematic land registration (PTSL) program's goal of expediting the certification of waqf land. This article focuses on the maintenance of waqf through the waqf certification program. Waqf assets can be preserved by registering waqf land and providing proof in the form of a waqf certificate. Due to their legal standing and ability to settle disputes, the nazhir (managers) and the waqifs (those who contribute land) will feel secure. A government invention to expedite the certification of freehold land, including waqf land, is the PTSL. The program is still in its infancy, thus there are still several issues that pose difficulties and barriers. collaboration and synchronization with other parties. This study uses qualitative techniques and primary data sources, including interviews and direct observation. In addition, literature sources on waqf from regulations, articles and other research become secondary sources. The data that has been collected is analyzed using descriptive analysis techniques. The study's findings revealed, among other things, that the PTSL approach is particularly effective in speeding waqf land certification. Second, there is still a lack of coordination between the Ministry of Religion, BWI, and other organizations, as well as the Agrarian Spatial Planning Office/National Land Agency.
