Abstract

Penelitian cerita rakyat sebagai pengungkap budaya masyarakat yang mengandung kearifan lokal masih penting dilakukan. Apalagi, cerita rakyat yang berkembang di wilayah bekas Kerajaan Mulawarman, kerajaan Hindu tertua di Indonesia belum diungkap secara detil. Dengan menggunakan metode studi sastra lisan dan pendekatan tipe-motif, Stith Thompson, artikel ini berusaha mengungkap Kerajaan Mulawarman, menguraikan cerita rakyat yang berkembang di wilayah tersebut, memaparkan motif tabu yang terdapat dalam keempat cerita rakyat, yaitu “Legenda Patung Batu Desa Pantun”, “Legenda Gua Kombeng”, “Kutukan Sang Kudungga”, dan “Kisah Baung Putih”, serta menguraikan konsep tabu pada masyarakat sekarang. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan studi pustaka, sedangkan teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik wawancara informan, pengamatan, perekaman, dan pencatatan. Metode analisis data menggunakan kritik teks, sedangkan teknik analisis data menggunakan klasifikasi motif Thompson. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa munculnya fakta-fakta historis Kerajaan Mulawarman melalui kajian keempat cerita tersebut, serta terkuaknya beragam motif tabu yang terdapat di dalam masyarakat Kutai. Pemaknaan konsep tabu ini masih berlangsung di masyarakat Kutai. Beberapa hal tabu masih berlangsung sampai dengan saat ini, sedangkan yang lain sudah tidak berlaku lagi karena pengaruh perkembangan zaman dan permasifan globalisasi. Motif tabu merupakan salah satu kearifan lokal masyarakat Kutai Kartanegara yang perlu dilestarikan karena mengandung nilai-nilai yang sangat bermanfaat.

Abstract

AbstrakHutan bagi suku Dayak Meratus merupakan sumber penghidupan. Untuk memanfaatkan sumber daya alam, kegiatan berburu dilakukan dengan menggunakan teknik berburu dengan alat-alat tradisional yang dibuat khusus. Teknik tersebut tampak pada leksikon perburuan masyarakat suku Dayak Meratus. Masalah dalam tulisan ini adalah bagaimana makna leksikal dan makna kultural leksikon perburuan suku Dayak Meratus dan bagaimana fungsi leksikon perburuan suku Dayak Meratus. Tulisan ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan makna leksikal dan makna kultural leksikon perburuan suku Dayak Meratus, dan mendeskripsikan fungsi leksikon perburuan suku Dayak Meratus melalui bahasa yang digunakan dalam cerita rakyat. Teknik analisis data dilakukan dengan cara struktural dan etnolinguistik terhadap leksikon yang digunakan dalam perburuan suku Dayak Meratus. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa makna leksikal dan makna kultural leksikon perburuan suku Dayak Meratus mencakup tiga hal, yaitu berkaitan dengan alat yang digunakan, hasil buruan, dan aktivitas pemburu. Sementara itu, fungsi penggunaan leksikon perburuan suku Dayak Meratus adalah sebagai wujud untuk melestarikan hutan, memanfaatkan sumber daya alam, dan menggunakan alat berburu tradisional.Kata kunci: perburuan, makna leksikal, makna kultural, etnolinguistik, Dayak Meratus AbstractForest for the Meratus Dayak tribe is a source of livelihood. To utilize natural resources, hunting activities are carried out using hunting techniques with traditional tools made specifically. The techniques are seen in the hunting lexicon of the Meratus Dayak tribe. The problems in this paper are how the lexical meaning and cultural meaning of the hunting lexicon of Dayak Meratus tribe are and how the function of the Dayak Meratus tribe lexicon are. This paper aims to describe the lexical meaning and cultural meaning of the Dayak Meratus tribe lexicon hunting and describe the function of the Dayak Meratus tribe hunting lexicon through the language used in folklore. The data analysis technique was carried out by structural and ethnolinguistic methods of the lexicon used in the hunting of the Meratus Dayak tribe. The results show that the lexical meaning and the cultural meaning of the Dayak Meratus hunting lexicon include three things, which are related to the tools used, hunting results, and hunter activities. Meanwhile, the function of the use of the Dayak Meratus tribe hunting lexicon is as a form of conserving forests, utilizing natural resources, and using traditional hunting tools.Keywords: hunting, lexical meaning, cultural meaning, ethnolinguistic, Meratus Dayak

Abstract

Intertextual research is used to see the relationship between two texts, especially the literature that comes fromdifferent background of social and culture, but they have the same theme. However, intertextual research aboutKalimantan’s folklore has not been done yet. Therefore, by using analysis descriptive method and intertextualapproach, this article wants to explore the folklore of “Putri Junjung Buyah” in East Kalimantan and “PutriJunjung Buih” in South Kalimantan, reveal intertextual relationship, and explain article hypogram and thetransformation between these folklore. The result shows that there is a relationship between “Putri JunjungBuyah” and “Putri Junjung Buih”. This relationship exists on the story background, the appearance of a princess,the struggle of getting something, and the marriage. As article hypogram, “Putri Junjung Buih” is regarded as areference to the next folklore, “Putri Junjung Buyah”. “Putri Junjung Buyah” has been transformated in manyways, especially instrinsic elements, that are story background (setting, social, and culture) and the theme.

Abstract

One of the language errors that are still often done by BIPA learners is morphological errors. In fact, morphological mastery is needed to distinguish the class of words and meaning so that the learner is able to place words according to the purpose to be conveyed. The problems in this study are 1) what are morphological errors and changes in meaning arising from morphological contradictions in imaginative writings of BIPA learners in Sacred Heart Girls College and how is the comparison of morphological systems between Indonesian and English. The aims of this study are to reveal morphological errors and changes in meaning arising from morphological contradictions in imaginative writings of BIPA learners in Sacred Heart Girls College and explain the comparison of morphological systems between Indonesian and English. By using qualitative and descriptive methods, the results show that morphological errors are inaccuracies in the use of affixes, especially affix meng- that is often contradicted by other affixes, for example the use affix meng-i and meng-kan, meng- and meng-kan, meng-i and ter-, meng- and ber-, memper- and –an, and meng - and the basic verb in persona passive sentence. These difficulties are caused by differences in the morphological systems of Indonesian and English

Abstract

Wisata pasar terapung dalam sastra menarik dikaji dengan menggunakan kajian sastra pariwisata. Keterkaitan sastra dan pariwisata tampak pada sastra turut mempromosikan daya tarik wisata. Sebaliknya, sastra juga terinspirasi oleh aktivitas wisata. Penelitian ini mengkaji daya tarik pasar terapung dan upaya menjaga eksistensi pasar terapung di tengah modernisasi dalam karya sastra. Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan daya tarik pasar terapung dan upaya menjaga eksistensi pasar terapung di tengah modernisasi dalam karya sastra. Metode deskriptif digunakan dengan pendekatan sastra pariwisata, khususnya kajian tematik sastra pariwisata (tourism themes). Teknik dokumentasi digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data berupa cerpen “Galuh Pasar Terapung”, puisi “Kidung Pasar Terapung”, puisi “Cahaya Borneo”, puisi “Pasar Terapung”, dan puisi “Pasar Terapung”. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa daya tarik pasar terapung yang terdapat dalam karya sastra bertema pasar terapung berupa atraksi, aksesibilitas, fasilitas, dan sarana pendukung. Atraksi ditunjukkan melalui transportasi jukung dan kelotok; topi khas Banjar berupa tanggui dan penutup kepala tengkuluk; sistem transaksi jual-beli; galah pengait kue; dan barang dagangan yang digambarkan oleh tokoh-tokoh cerita. Aksesibilitas menuju pasar terapung terpenuhi dengan adanya kelotok sewaan yang digunakan oleh tokoh cerita sebagai wisatawan untuk menuju pasar terapung. Fasilitas berupa masjid dekat dermaga yang memudahkan tokoh cerita sebagai wisatawan untuk melaksanakan ibadah. Sementara itu, sarana pendukung lain adalah tersedianya pemandu wisata. Berbagai upaya menjaga eksistensi pasar terapung di tengah modernisasi terekam dalam karya sastra bertema pariwisata, antara lain meregenerasi penerus pasar terapung; melakukan promosi wisata, baik melalui media cetak maupun televisi; dan melakukan kreativitas sehingga daya tarik pasar terapung semakin diminati oleh wisatawan.The tourism of floating market in literature can be studied by using literary tourism. The link between literature and tourism can be seen from literature also promotes tourist attraction. On the other hand, literature is also inspired by tourist activities. This research examines the attractiveness of floating markets and the efforts to maintain the existence of floating markets in the midst of modernization in literary works. This study aims to describe the attractiveness of floating markets and efforts to maintain the existence of floating markets in the midst of modernization in literary works. Descriptive method is used by using literary tourism approach, especially thematic study of literary tourism. The documentation technique is  used to collect data, such as  "Galuh Pasar Terapung", "Kidung Pasar Terapung", "Cahaya Borneo", "Pasar Terapung", and "Pasar Terapung". The results showed that the attractiveness of the floating market in literary themes were the attractions, access, amenities, and ancillary. Attractions are shown through jukung and kelotok transportation; a tradisional Banjar hat, tanggui and head cover, tengguluk; buying and selling transaction system; cake hook tool; and commodity that are depicted through the characters. Access to the floating market is fulfilled by the availability of rental kelotok for the character as tourists. Amenity in floating market is the avaibility of mosque near the pier which makes it easier for the character as tourists to carry out worship. Meanwhile, ancillary is the availability of tour guides. Various efforts to maintain the existence of floating markets in the midst of modernization can be seen in literary tourism themes include regenerating the successors of the floating market; conducting tourism promotion, either through print or television media; and do creativity so that the attraction of the floating market is increasingly in demand by tourists.

Abstract

43Children’s reading books originating from folklore are very important in transmitting local wisdom and values to children. However, not all folklore is suitable for consumption by children. The book Kisah Puteri Cinderella dan 18 Dongeng Terkenal Lainnya is a children’s reading originating from folklore, but has been adapted for children’s readers, both in terms of content and language. The problem raised in this study is how to present stories, what themes appear, and what potential can be explored in the book Kisah Puteri Cinderella dan 18 Dongeng Terkenal Lainnya By using descriptive analysis method and narrative theory of children’s stories, this study aims to explain the presentation of the story in the book Kisah Puteri Cinderella dan 18 Dongeng Terkenal Lainnya so that it is worthy of being used as children’s reading material, describing themes that usually appear in children’s stories, and reveal the potential of children who can be explored after reading children’s stories. The results of the analysis show that the presentation of the story in the book Kisah Puteri Cinderella dan 18 Dongeng Terkenal Lainnya. it is appropriate for the readers of children, both in terms of content, language and illustrations. The themes that emerge are diverse, including cruel stepmother, someone who has extraordinary abilities, friendship between humans and other living things, and love between mother and child. Meanwhile, the potential of children that can be extracted from the story of the child is imagination, social, spiritual, and intellectual potential

Abstract

Postcolonial research in literature text will always be interested to be used to reveal many practices as a result of colonialism. Colonialism practices that had been continued between the same ethnic groups, like in Hikayat Datoe Lancang-Putri Kayan hasn’t been revealed yet. By analizing textually and using postcolonial theory, this article wants to reveal the history of Bulungan Sultanate that exposes in Hikayat Datoe Lancang-Putri Kayan toward the opposition of colonized group and colonialist and analize the opposition forms toward colonialism. The result shows that Hikayat Datoe Lancang-Putri Kayan reveals the history of Bulungan Sultanate. Postcolonial research analized colonialist and colonized group. Colonized, that is Dayak Iban is constructed as dominates, underestimates, powerful, superior, arrogant, tricky, anarchist, and cruel group. Meanwhile, the colonized group, that is Dayak Kayan Uma Afan is constructed in the position of weak, pessimist, hopeless, and follows imitates the colonialist’s track. Besides, the opposition’s forms that are done by Dayak Kayan to oppose colonialism are the preparation of physical troop, the arrangement of attack’s strategy, the construction of traps, and the fighting between etnic group leaders.

Abstract

Learning Indonesian culture and Indonesia language for forigners (BIPA) is quite closely related. However, there have been many researches regarding cultural mastery of BIPA students in imaginative writing. By using literary anthropological method supported by Kroeber and Kluckhohn, this research aims to reveal Indonesian cultural images in imaginative writing of BIPA students in Sacred Heart Girls College and the connection between Indonesian cultural mastery and the complete of the story. The result shows the category of Indonesian culture in sixth imaginative writings, are normative behavior (“Berubah Menjadi Tikus” and “Sesuatu di Balik Bantal”), custom (“Burung Toti” dan “Lima Hari”), history on social heritage and tradition (“Blangkon”), psychology, arrangement (“Sesuatu di Balik Bantal”), and psychology, learning (“Terlewat Perjalanan dari Bantal”). Indonesian cultural mastery and the complete elements of story are interrelated. If culture footing is good, the story will be complete. The incompleteness of a story is seen from the unwell conveyed description, character, and culture shows their lack of understanding of Indonesian culture.AbstrakPemahaman budaya Indonesia dalam pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia bagi penutur asing (BIPA) cukup erat kaitannya. Akan tetapi, belum banyak penelitian tentang penguasaan budaya pemelajar BIPA dalam tulisan imajinatif. Dengan menggunakan metode antropologi sastra yang didukung oleh pendekatan budaya dari Kroeber dan Kluckhohn, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap gambaran budaya Indonesia dalam tulisan imajinatif pemelajar BIPA di Sacred Heart Girls College dan keterkaitan antara penguasaan budaya Indonesia dan kelengkapan unsur-unsur cerita. Hasil penelitian menggambarkan kategori budaya Indonesia dalam keenam cerita, yaitu perilaku normatif (“Berubah Menjadi Tikus” dan “Sesuatu di Balik Bantal”), kebiasaan (“Burung Toti” dan “Lima Hari”), sejarah pada warisan sosial dan tradisi (cerita “Blangkon”), psikologi, pengaturan (cerita “Sesuatu di Balik Bantal”), psikologi, dan pembelajaran (cerita “Terlewat Perjalanan dari Bantal”). Penguasaan budaya Indonesia dan kelengkapan unsur-unsur cerita saling terkait. Jika pijakan budaya tidak kuat, cerita yang disampaikan tidak utuh. Ketidaklengkapan cerita itu terlihat pada penyampaian latar tempat dan tokoh, serta budaya yang tidak detail sehingga menunjukkan kekurangpekaan budaya Indonesia.
