Abstract

Study about efficient market hypothesis is a common object for many financial researchers. Nevertheless, there are still limited studies about futures contract market particularly in the emerging market. The purposes of this study were to test the weak form efficiency of the Olein futures contract in the Jakarta Futures Exchange and to seek factors that can affect the fluctuation of Olein futures contract price. ARIMA and GARCH models were used as the basis for the analyses. Results of the study indicated that using weekly data, the weak form efficient market (random walk) hypothesis was rejected for the Olein futures contract in the Jakarta Futures Exchange, meaning that the market was in efficient.This implies that some one will be able to outperform the market using technical analysis for predicting future price changes. Furthermore, using monthly data, the fluctuation of Olein futures contract returnis influenced significantly by interest rate, exchange rate and CPO price.   Keywords : Jakarta Futures Exchange, Efficient Market Hypothesis, ARIMA, GARCH

Abstract

TK Al’Alaq berada di jalan Dr. Ratna, Kelurahan Jatibening, Kecamatan Pondok Gede, Bekasi. Tidak terlalu jauh terdapat pula Kampus D Universitas Mercu Buana di Kranggan, Pondok Gede, Bekasi, yang keberadaannya telahmembawa dampak positif bagi pemberdayaan masyarakat disekitar kampus, termasuk kegiatan Pengabdian Masyarakat ini.Pada tahun 2020 Pemerintah Indonesia mentargetkan delapan juta pengusaha baru UKM, maka perludiadakan sosialisasi dan penyuluhan terprogram dan intensif. Secara umum terdapat dua opsi untuk dapat berwirausaha: Pertama, karena bakat alamiah atau born / natural entrepreneur;sangat sedikit jumlahnya sepertipengusaha Lim Sioe Liong (Salim Group), Mochtar Riady (Lippo Group) dan H. Probosutedjo (Mercu Buana Group), yang merupakan contoh pengusaha-pengusaha sukses dan saat ini sekelas taipan/konglomerat; Kedua, pengusaha yang dicipatakan karena pembelajaran di sekolah / kampus / pusat pelatihan ditambah dengan jam terbang dan pengalaman lapangan yang atau dikenal sebagai made / educated entrepreneurs. Dikarenakan wirausaha adalah bagian dari intra-disiplin keilmuan maka hal-hal yang dapat menunjang keberhasilan suatu usaha sangat dapat untuk dipelajari; baik secara formal dan informal. Pembelajaran wirausaha pada kalangan pendidik adalah fenomena baru. Terlihat dari hasil feedback evaluasi pada pelaksanaan Pengabdian Masyarakat di TK Al’Alaq, Jatibening, Bekasi dimana hasil kegiatan mengindikasikan tingginya minat di kalangan pendidik untuk dapat berusaha sendiri. Metode yang digunakan dalm kegiatan ini adalah: ceramah, tanya jawab, dan presentasi simulasi bisnis per group. Hasil kegiatan ini memperoleh tanggapan positif dari pesertadan sekolah yang sangat anthusias dalam mengikuti penyuluhan, telahmembuka wawasan baru tentang pentingnya berwirausaha bagi pendidik. Diharapkan keterampilan yang didapat dapat pula diteruskan ke peserta didik.

Abstract

The ability of orientation and mobility (O&M) in children with visual impairment was still very low, so the dependence on sighted people was very high and this limited the activities of children with visual impairment themselves. On the other hand, the parents of these children did not have the ability on O&M and thus face difficulties in teaching their children to develop their O&M at home. Therefore, it was important to have an operational guideline to provide help for parents in teaching their children to be independent. The purpose of this study is to formulate a program for parents on how to teach O&M to their children. The study was carried out using the qualitative approach with the case study strategy; the in-depth interview, direct observation, participant observation, and documentation, were used to collect the data, and the O&M Attribute Checklist was adapted from Perkins Freedom Mobility LLC (2014) was used to portray the O&M competence profile of the parents. The subjects of this study were parents of children with visual impairment. The result of this study is in the form of a program formulation that was developed based on the analysis of assessment and field needs, including objectives, materials, methods, implementation procedures, and evaluations. The conclusion is that through the program guidelines that have been formulated, it is hoped that parents have the competence and will be easier to teach their children’s O&M skills so that children develop optimally. The implication is that families must be consistent in following the designed program guidelines.
