Abstract

After Covid-19 was declared as Pandemic by the WHO, all activities are lingered over barriers including teaching and learning activities. Learning methods are transformed into online learning to minimize the spread of Covid-19 virus. But in its implementation there are obstacles and shortcomings so that the learning process is disrupted. This research aimed to analyze the online learning process during the Covid-19 pandemic in Poltekkes Kemenkes Malang. Research method used in this study was qualitative description and used total sampling method in collecting respondent. The results showed that online learning was still not maximal at its implementation. The result analysis used Respondent Achievement Level (RAL). On the topic of learning process and learning atmosphere was at vulnerable 55% - 69% with the category "less good", the topic of learning methods RAL results showed at vulnerable 43.2% - 44.3% which fall into the category "not good". For academic guidance, guidance activities of final exam/thesis and the implementation of final exam got a "pretty good" predicate with vulnerable RAL scores of 70%-79% and in research and community service activities got RAL results of 1%-54% which fall into the category of "not good". Keywords: the covid-19 pandemic; online learning; higher education

Abstract

Injectable is one of the most widely used contraceptives in Indonesia. Injectable contraceptive often causes the changes in blood glucose levels because it contains a steroid hormone with low anti-insulin. The use in the long term can even cause pancreatitis. Hormones in injectable contraceptive have opposite work against insulin. Insulin resistance causes pancreas to increasingly work harder to produce insulin. Over time the pancreas will not be able to function optimally and will have an impact on blood glucose levels. The objective of this study was to determine the relationship of the length of injectable contraceptive use to blood glucose levels among combined injectable acceptors. This study used cross sectional study design. The source of data was primary data with the respondents combined injectable acceptors in Privately Practising Midwife "E" at Purwosari Sub-district. The sampling technique was non probability sampling with a total sampling of 46 respondents who met the inclusion criteria. Data were analyzed using bivariate analysis with chi-square. In this study, 41% of women were found to have high glucose levels (>125mg/dl). A total of 53.8% of women who used combined injectable contraceptive more than two years had blood glucose levels over 125 mg / dl, but from the results of the analysis, it showed that the length of contraceptive use was not statistically significant with blood glucose levels (p value 0.095). Therefore, injectable contraceptive used in the long term must be taken into account.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the "SMART" abdominal model as a clinical learning media in increasing student competence for assessing uterine fundal height in postpartum mothers. This research is a quasi-experimental research with The Posttest-only Control Group Design. The study was conducted in two groups, namely the treatment group and the control group. The population of this study was all students of the third semester of midwifery D III study program in two health polytechnic in Indonesia. The intervention group consisted of some students who were given assistance in using the "SMART" abdominal model to assess the height of the uterine fundus in postpartum mothers in simulated patients, while the control group consisted of some students without assistance in using the "SMART" abdominal model to assess height uterine fundus in postpartum women on a conventional abdominal model (Zoe's abdominal model). The total sample was 120 people, which were divided into 60 people from one Poltekkes as the control group and 60 people from another Poltekkes as the intervention group. The sampling technique was purposive sampling. Data was collected through questionnaires, and observation. The type of data in this study is primary data. Data analysis uses Kai Square. The SMART abdominal model supports the achievement of learning competencies by 81.4%. There was no significant difference in competence when students used the SMART abdominal model on simulated patients or paired them with Zoe's abdominal model. For this reason, innovation and creativity of lecturers are needed in supporting the achievement of subject learning through the development of learning models and technology. In supporting the wider use of the model as a form of downstreaming research products that are integrated into the dharma of education, it is necessary to socialize and disseminate the SMART abdominal model and promote efforts through collaboration with industry and MSMEs.
