Abstract

Learning innovation for early childhood during a pandemic is an essential issue to be studied. Learning innovation needs to be contextualized around distance learning as one of the learning models during the Pandemic. This study maps the  problemsin implementing long-distance learning for early childhood. The data in this study came from interviews with principals, teachers, and parents of students who were directly involved with children's learning during the Pandemic. The study results showed that the problems that occur in online learning include technical and substantive aspects. These problems have become a catalyst for school actors to innovate in collaboration between schools and parents to implement learning activities. In addition, the innovation also includes policy aspects related to the implementation of learning activities at the school level. This study recommends that studies on the effectiveness and efficiency of learning involving parents of students and face-to-face on a limited basis need to be studied further to gain a deeper understanding of learning innovations during the Pandemic.

Abstract

This research objective is to examine social stratification in the football sector in Indonesia during the colonial period. Social stratification is the beginning of the occurrence of discriminatory treatment differences. This research applies a qualitative research method with a literature study approach. The data sources in this research are obtained from journal articles, books, and mass media relevant to social stratification in the football sector during the colonial period. The selection of information sources used internal and external criticism to sort out the information collected through document study techniques. The data collected is then processed using interactive data analysis techniques to obtain answers to research problems. The research results show that social stratification took place individually and communally. Local football players are in the lowest position, as are football clubs and football federations formed by local communities. The system established by the colonial government placed European and Chinese football players into a higher layer than local players. This distinction triggered discriminatory treatment against local players to reduce the opportunity for football players and clubs to access the field and competitions organized by the federation formed by the Dutch colonial government. This condition, on the one hand, shows the process of imitating the local community towards sports brought by the colonizers. On the other hand, the imitation also contains resistance to discriminatory treatment as well as colonial practices. Changes in such discriminatory conditions are needed so that similar practices do not occur in other life aspects.

Abstract

The availability of sports facilities and the number of residents in Malang shows a lack of balance in proportion. The government of Malang city has made some attempts to collaborate with any parties to allocate the proportional sports facilities for the residents. To deal with the problem, the government has designed a program called Ijen Car Free Day (ICFD) as one alternative of solutions. The Ijen Street, which mostly functions as the main street, has also served as a sport center. The present study aims at investigating the utilization of roads of Ijen Street as one of sports centers. The analysis is carried out to re-observe the use of public space that has experienced some transformations. The data collected are examined thoroughly by implementing the research method of descriptive qualitative. The result of the study indicates that the Ijen Street is a sterile road section of motor vehicles at 06:00 up to 10:00, and during the time, the road is used for some sports activities. The so-called elite region of Malang city has transformed into courts for morning gymnastics and jogging tracks along the way. In addition, the area is also used as a social, economic, and cultural spaces. The visitors of Ijen CFD often takes the chance to sell some products, join some communities, and perform some shows of art and culture. The comprehension of the models of space use is necessary to optimize the management of Ijen CFD in the future.
