Abstract

This research is based on the low competence of biology learners learners. Factors that affect the low competence of learners learning is the process of learning by teachers and learners in the classroom is still centered on the teacher, the lack of interaction between students with teachers, and learning competence of learners has not been achieved in accordance with minimal mastery criteria (KKM). The purpose of this research is to know the influence of predictor learning model explain explain observe discuss explain (PDEODE) containing science literacy to learners' competence in the subjects of biology class X SMAN 1 2X11 Kayutanam. This research is a quasi experimental research with randomized control group design posstest only design. Sampling from population using purposive sampling technique that class X1 as experiment class and class X3 as control class. The data analysis technique used to test the hypothesis is t test. Learning competencies analyzed are learning competence in the cognitive, affective, and psychomotor aspects with environmental change materials. The results showed that the average value of posstest learning competence on the cognitive, affective and psychomotor aspects of the experimental class students higher than the control class. So it can be concluded that the application of predictor learning explain explain observe discuss explain (PDEODE) model of science literacy improves the cognitive, affective, and psychomotor learners' competence in the material of environmental change.

Abstract

This research based on the problem on SMAN 1 Lubuk Alung, those are inappropriate learning model choices and low of students’ learning competencies. An efforts could done to solve it was implementation of problem based learning model charged with science literacy toward the students’ learning competencies on the topic of excretion system at XI grade of SMAN 1 Lubuk Alung. This research aimed to know the effects of Problem Based Learning (PBL) charged with science literacy toward the students’ learning competencies at XI grade of SMAN 1 Lubuk Alung. The type of this research was experimental research and designed on Control Group Posttest Only. The populations of this research were all of the students at grade XI MIPA of SMAN 1 Lubuk Alung academic years 2017/2018 that consisted of seven classes. This research used purposive sampling technique to take the samples; those are XI MIPA 3 as experiment group and XI MIPA 2 as control group. The research’s instruments used were test for cognitive competence and observation sheets for affective and psychomotor competence. Hypothesis was tested by using T-test method.Based on the thesis result by using t-test, it can be concluded that on students’ cognitive competence   tscore 4,15> table 1,67, on students’ affective competence tscore  5,07 > table 1,67, and on students’ psychomotor competence tscore 1,69 > table 1,67. It showed that hypothesis was accepted. So it can be concluded that the implementation of Problem Based Learning (PBL) charged science literacy model improved toward students’ learning competences at XI grade of SMAN 1 Lubuk Alung significantly with 0,05 degrees of truthiness.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum at the senior high school level through a literature review. The study was conducted using a systematic review approach, which was structured based on the PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses) method. Data sources were obtained from five main articles that discussed various implementation strategies, challenges, and forms of implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum in several senior high schools. The findings of the study indicate that the Merdeka Curriculum is designed to be more adaptive, enjoyable, and aligned with the characteristics and developmental stages of students. Teachers have the freedom to design Learning Objective Pathways (ATP), use teaching materials relevant to the context, and apply learning that adapts to the individual needs of students. The Problem-Based Learning (PBL) and Project-Based Learning (PjBL) models are the main approaches that encourage active student participation and character development. However, the implementation of this curriculum still faces challenges such as limited teacher understanding, infrastructure constraints, and regional disparities.

Abstract

The Merdeka Curriculum is an educational innovation implemented to overcome learning losses due to the Covid-19 pandemic and adapt to 21st century educational needs. In its implementation, assessment is a crucial element to support the planning and implementation of learning activities that suit student needs. This study examines five articles on the assessment of the Merdeka Curriculum published between 2023 and 2024. The study results show that assessment in the Merdeka Curriculum includes diagnostic, formative, summative, and authentic assessments. However, there are still various barriers to implementation, such as teachers' lack of understanding of the concept of authentic assessment, limited facilities, little training, and low use of assessment results as a basis for improving the learning process. With the support of government policies, continuous training, and collaboration between teachers, the implementation of assessment in the Merdeka Curriculum is expected to take place optimally to improve the quality of learning in schools.
