Abstract

Business activity in the MMTC Pancing not as expected. With a wide range of facilities that are expected as an appeal to the people or consumers to visit this region, but the condition of the opposite happened. Many shop are not yet in operation, so the business district is still quiet. Various policies have made the company, yet provide optimal results, so we need the right strategy by considering the internal environment and external environment MMTC Pancing. The purpose of this research is to formulate a strategy in order to increase business activity in the shop that sold in the business district MMTC Pancing. This type of research in this study is action research, with the data analysis SWOT analysis. The results of the data analysis resulted in the diversification strategy of the strategy pursued by forming various types of business or activities that are related or not related to each other to increase business activity in the MMTC Pancing

Abstract

Investment and Promotion Agency of North Sumatra Province is the spearhead in attracting both FDI and domestic investment. The agency prepared a material role in the formulation of technical policy in the field of investment and promotion. In order to encourage investment regions, required appropriate promotional strategies to be considered by the local government, thus increasing investment in North Sumatra. Various activities are carried out and followed by the Investment and Promotion Agency of North Sumatra has not a significant impact in increasing investment, increasing promotional activity is not in line with the increase in the value of investments. The purpose of this research is to develop an effective promotional strategy that can increase the expected value of the investment. The population in this study were 7 people who become the most competent and feel the impact of investment promotion in North Sumatra. This type of research in this study is qualitative research, the data analysis through SWOT analysis. The results of data analysis showed that the stability strategy is an appropriate strategy to improve the effectiveness of investment promotion in North Sumatra. Stability Strategy aims to be diversified range of media campaigns and promotional activities increased intensity.

Abstract

Tourism has strategic economic value for the country, not onlyit generate income for the country but also improve the economic life of the surrounding population. With this, the Government of the Republic of Indonesia advised local governments to promote the tourism out of the country to introduce the tourism potential of the region and national as well as in the public diplomacy.According to that,Medan Investment, Trade & Tourism Expo (MITT) has established offices in different countries, one of which is in Malaysia. This study analyzed the role ofMITT in Malaysia as a commitment to promote tourism in Sumatera Utara. The authors examined the amount of travelers to Sumatera Utara from Malaysia.

Abstract

All companies engaged in food and beverage, especially Sushi Tei Restaurants are required to have special procedures in terms of handling food and beverage processing, serving and serving to customers amid the COVID-19 outbreak, this is useful for creating a comfortable and safe feeling for customers who will buy. products from the restaurant, the procedure must be carried out consistently and properly. As for the focus of the research is the special procedures used in serving guests. This research was conducted to determine the COVID-19 protocol procedure in serving guests at Sushi Tei Restaurant in Medan, North Sumatra, knowing the seating distance between guests and whether there is a divider or partition between the tables according to the health protocol for restaurants issued by the Minister of Health of the Republic of Indonesia . The research was conducted from May 1, 2020 to June 30, 2020. The population in this study were 3 Cashiers, 2 Greeters, 8 Waiters, and 1 Bushboy, so the sample in this study was 14 people. From the conclusions, the authors provide suggestions which later can be taken into consideration for the restaurant, so that the service quality of Sushi Tei Restaurant can be maintained.

Abstract

In a tourism indusrty, especially those engaged in the hotel business, the tearm called occupancy, which means more or less the occupancy rate of hotel rooms. Room occupancy rate is expressed as a percentage of tha ratio of rooms sold compared to the total available hotel rooms or the total number of rooms that can be sold. The research method used is field research, namely the researcher goes directly to the field and makes observations, library research, namely by collecting data through books and references that are relevant to the title that has been proposed. The result was the existenced of OYO and RedDrooz influenced occupancy of Harper Wahid Hasyim Hotel Medan due to OYO and RedDrooz can give the good facilities and best price than Harper Wahid Hasyim Hotel Medan. As for the suggestion, the hotel management reduce the room rate, improve service quality and provide a employees hotel training in order they are able to compete with OYO and RedDrooz.

Abstract

This study is entitled Development Planning of Ecotourism in Bulbul Beach, Balige, as a Guidelines of Tourism Product. Researcher intend to research about the spatial and a-spatial actual condition in Bulbul Beach, and to know whether this actual condition is capable to be developed as an Ecotourism concept with the Sustainable Tourism as the guidelines for making of Tourism Product in the near future. From this research was found that the management of tourism facilities is still poor. Furthermore, by the physical and non-physical evidence of the actual condition of Bulbul Beach still significant to be developed with sustainable development guidelines for Tourism Product, with the use of Ecotourism planning principals.

Abstract

Sumatera Utara adalah salah satu provinsi di Indonesia yang memiliki banyak destinasi wisata yang menawarkan banyak keindahan alam bagi wisatawan dalam maupun luar negri. Salah satu destinasi tersebut yakni Danau Toba, keindahan alamnya yang menakjubkan dan merupakan salah satu danau terbesar di Asia Tenggara dan terdalam di dunia sehingga membuat Danau Toba menjadi destinasi pariwisata super prioritas salah satu di Indonesia. Ditetapkannya Danau Toba sebagai destinasi pariwisata prioritas, mengingat kawasan alam Danau Toba yang terbentang di antara 7 (tujuh) kabupaten yaitu Samosir, Simalungun, Toba Samosir, Dairi, Tapanuli Utara, Humbang Hasundutan, dan Karo. Untuk itu, destinasi pariwisata Danau toba harus terus dikembangkan, dan dalam pengembangan yang dilakukan perlu adanya dilakukan pemasaran terhadap destinasi pariwisata Danau Toba ini. Adapun yang menjadi rumusan masalah dalam penelitian ini yaitu bagaimana kondisi Danau Toba sebagai Destinasi Pariwisata Super Prioritas ?, bagaimana strategi pemasaran Dinas Kebudayaan dan Pariwisata Provinsi Sumatera Utara terhadap Danau Toba sebagai Destinasi Pariwisata Super Prioritas ?, dan apa saja upaya Dinas Kebudayaan dan Pariwisata Provinsi Sumatera Utara dalam pemasaran Danau Toba sebagai Destinasi Pariwisata Super Prioritas? Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Dan dari hasil penelitian yang dilakukan, didapat kesimpulan bahwa Danau Toba adalah salah satu wisata super prioritas yang sangat tepat. Dan merupakan objek wisata yang berpotensi sebagai destinasi wisata kelas dunia, strategi pemasaran Dinas Kebudayaan dan Pariwisata Provinsi Sumatera Utara terhadap Danau Toba sebagai Destinasi Pariwisata Super Prioritas yaitu dengan pemasaran pariwisata dan ekonomi kreatif berorientasi pada hasil dan berfokus pasar potensial, perluasan pangsa pasar bentuk produk ekonomi kreatif, meningkatkan citra pariwisata Indonesia yang berdaya saing dalam dan luar negri, dan pemanfaatan teknologi dalam mendukung pemasaran pariwisata dan ekonomi kreatif; serta upaya Dinas Kebudayaan dan Pariwisata Provinsi Sumatera Utara dalam Danau Toba sebagai Destinasi Pariwisata Super Prioritas dengan mengembangkan storynomic Tourism. Dan pada penelitian ini disarankan beberapa hal yaitu diharapkan pemerintah dan pihak yang terkait lainnya agar melakukan upaya pengembangan baik infrastruktur maupun peningkatan sumber daya manusia menghasilkan dampak bagi perekonomiannya di daerah danau toba; diharapkan pemerintah dapat menjalankan dengan baik strategi yang sudah di rencanakan untuk meningkatkan pemasaran pariwisata sumatera utara; dan diharapkan pemerintah untuk selalu memberikan inovasi/gaya baru dalam memasarkan pariwisata Sumatera Utara.

Abstract

Keberadaan objek wisata warisan budaya dan bersejarah merupakan potensi terhadap peningkatan kunjungan wisatawan dalam maupun luar negeri ke suatu daerah dan kota wisata. Terdapat dua kegiatan wisata yang memiliki hubungan erat dengan warisan budaya dan peninggalan sejarah yaitu kegiatan wisata Cultural Tourism (wisata budaya) dan kegitan wisata Heritage Tourism (wisata ke situs-situs warisan atau pustaka). Di Desa Buluh Awar kecamatan Sibolangitkabupaten Deli Serdang provinsi Sumatera Utara, yang memilki daya tarik sebagai wisata heritagesangat berpotensi sekaliuntuk dikembangkan karena ada beberapa tempat yang dinilai sebagai daya tarik wisata tersebut. Buluh Awar memiliki sejarah yang erat kaitannya dengan penginjilan pertama bagi suku Karo. Hal ini ditandai dengan berdirinya Gereja Batak Karo Protestan (GBKP) pertama di Tanah Karo yang dibangun pada tahun 1890. Tidak hanya Gereja, tapi juga dilengkapi dengan Museum Pekabaran Injil dan makam Nora Tampenawas. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dengan menggunakan data yang sudah ada di Unit Wisata Rohani Buluh Awar dalam pengembangan wisata heritage dan juga dengan hasil wawancara yang telah dilakukan kepada narasumber. Waktu penelitian dilakukan enam bulam, pada tiga bulan pertama fokus pada pendekatan kepada masyarakat lokal, pengumpulan informasi dan literatur mengenai heritage dari Buluh Awar dan mempromosikan ke sosial media.
