Media sosial memberikan kemudahan menyebarkan informasi dan memperluas jaringan sehingga bisa terhubung dengan siapapun yang ada di seluruh dunia tanpa ada batasan. Media sosial yang berkembang pesat disertai dengan perangkat smartphone yang canggih serta akses internet yang mudah dan cepat memungkinkan adanya bullying yang dilakukan di dunia maya. Perkembangan internet dan smartphone yang cukup pesat disertai dengan minat yang besar dari remaja dapat memberikan dampak baik maupun buruk, tergantung dari aktivitas online mereka. Dampak baik dan buruk tergantung dari lingkungan remaja yang nantinya akan mengubah perilaku pelajar kepada cara penggunaan internet dan smartphone dengan lebih bijak. Media sosial memang baik untuk remaja, karena di media sosial mereka akan mendapatkan banyak teman informasi dan sebagainya, tetapi, bagi orangtua wajib untuk selalu mendampingi atau mengetahui perkembangan kehidupan sosial remaja agar tidak terjerumus kepada hal yang negatif.

Media sosial memang baik untuk remaja, karena di media sosial mereka akan mendapatkan banyak teman informasi dan sebagainya, tetapi, bagi orangtua wajib untuk selalu mendampingi atau mengetahui perkembangan kehidupan sosial remaja agar tidak terjerumus kepada hal yang negatif.

Indonesia is one of the disaster prone countries. Various disasters are always struck annually. During the year 2018, recorded 1999 catastrophic events in Indonesia. This number is expected to continue to increase with the extreme weather that hit Indonesia. Disasters are events or sequences of events that threaten and disrupt the life and livelihoods of people caused by both natural factors and non-natural and human factors that result in the onset of human souls, damage Property loss, and psychological impacts. This study discusses disaster mitigation communication as public awareness facing disaster in Sei Bingai sub-district and Secanggang district of Langkat District. These two locations are chosen to represent the two regions where the natural conditions differ. Sei Bingai Subdistrict is located in the mountainous region, while Secanggang subdistrict is located in the coastal area, so when disasters occur there are different types of disasters that hit. This research was conducted to anticipate and increase public awareness in the face of disasters. We do not expect disaster in the Indonesian region, but disaster anticipating efforts need to be done so that people are alert and ready to be alert to face the disaster. The results of the study showed that the community did not have high awareness of flood disasters and landslides. Formal and non-formal institutions in their region have not carried out the maximum socialization of disaster mitigation about the importance of alertness to flood disasters and landslides

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan strategi komunikasi pemasaran Brodo Footwear di Instagram dan minat beli mahasiswa Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU). Dengan menggunakan teknik stratified propotional dan purposive sampling, sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah 95 mahasiswa Fakultas Ilmu Sosial dan Ilmu Politik angkatan tahun 2012 dan 2013. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui dua cara, yaitu penelitian kepustakaan dan penelitian lapangan. Responden mengisi kuesioner yang terdiri dari 20 pertanyaan berkaitan dengan variabel yang diukur. Analisis data menggunakan tabel tunggal, analisis tabel silang dan uji hipotesis Spearman. Hasil analisis penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang rendah tetapi pasti antara strategi pemasaran Brodo Footweardan minat beli mahasiswa di FISIP Universitas Sumatera Utara.

AbstrakLayanan keperawatan yang bermutu adalah layanan keperawatan yang senantiasa berupaya memenuhi harapan klien sehingga klien akan selalu puas terhadap pelayanan yang diberikan perawat. Pelayanan dan komunikasi yang baik dapat memotivasi pasien untuk segera sembuh ketika terkena penyakit. Pada masa pandemi Covid-19 sekarang banyak tenaga kesehatan (nakes) yang merawat pasien yang terjangkit penyakit akibat virus Covid-19. Para tenaga nakes tidak hanya merawat pasien secara fisik saja tetapi juga perlu menjalin komunikasi dengan baik kepada pasien agar kondisi mental dari pasien juga dapat termotivasi untuk kembali pulih dari sakit. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu menganalisis komunikasi terapeutik tenaga kesehatan dalam pemulihan pasien Covid di kota Medan dan Pekan Baru serta faktor-faktor pendukung dan penghambatnya. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif, data didapatkan dengan melakukan observasi dan wawancara informan secara mendalam. Informan dalam penelitian ini adalah tenaga kesehatan (NAKES) di kota Medan dan Pekan Baru yang akan dipilih sesuai dengan kriteria penelitian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bentuk komunikasi terapeutik dilakukan dengan memberikan dukungan psikologis agar memberikan rasa tenang dan percaya diri serta menumbuhkan keyakinan pasien untuk sembuh, menyentuh aspek perasaan supaya pasien lebih rileks dan nyaman untuk meningkatkan imunitas dan mempercepat proses kesembuhan pasien COVID 19. Faktor pendukung dari komunikasi terapeutik ini adalah komunikasi yang positif dari pihak keluarga pasien, sedangkan faktor penghambatnya yaitu banyaknya penerimaan berita negatif yang dapat memicu pikiran buruk pada pasien sehingga kesehatannya menjadi buruk kembali. AbstractQuality nursing services are nursing services that always try to meet client expectations so that clients will always be satisfied with the services provided by nurses. Good service and communication can motivate patients to recover quickly when exposed to illness. During the Covid-19 pandemic, now many health workers (nakes) are treating patients infected with diseases caused by the Covid-19 virus. Health workers not only take care of patients physically but also need to establish good communication with patients so that the mental condition of the patient can also be encouraged to recover from illness. The purpose of this study was to analyze the therapeutic communication of health workers in the recovery of Covid patients in the cities of Medan and Pekanbaru as well as the supporting and inhibiting factors. This research is a qualitative research, data obtained by conducting in-depth observations and interviews with informants. Informants in this study are health workers (NAKES) in the cities of Medan and Pekanbaru who will be selected according to the research criteria. The results showed that the form of therapeutic communication was carried out by providing psychological support in order to provide a sense of calm and confidence as well as growing the patient's self-confidence to recover, touching the emotional aspect so that the patient was more relaxed and comfortable for activities. boost immunity. and accelerate the healing process of COVID 19 patients. The supporting factor for this therapeutic communication is positive communication from the patient's family, while the inhibiting factor is the large number of negative news receipts that can trigger bad thoughts in patients so that their health becomes bad again.

AbstrakTulisan ini menganalisis strategi komunikasi organisasi yang dilakukan PPID Pemerintah Kota Medan dalam melaksanakan keterbukaan informasi publik. Metodologi penelitiannya menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data observasi partisipasi pasif, wawancara mendalam, dokumentasi dan triangulasi. Untuk menghasilkan data sampai jenuh diperlukan hingga 8 (delapan) orang informan yang terdiri dari seorang PPID Utama dan 7 (tujuh) orang PPID Pembantu. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa strategi komunikasi organisasi yang dijalankan PPID Pemerintah Kota Medan telah dilakukan melalui penetapan PPID dan pemohon informasi sebagai komunikator sekaligus target sasaran serta menggunakan saluran dan media komunikasi secara langsung (tatap muka) maupun melalui surat, SIP-PPID, e-mail dan website, namun belum menggunakan media sosial serta belum dilakukan analisis kebutuhan khalayak dan teknis penyusunan pesan tertentu yang melibatkan partisipasi publik. AbstractThis article to analyze the organizational communication strategies carried out by the Medan City Government PPID (Document and Information Management Officer) in implementing public information openness. The research uses a qualitative approach with data collection techniques of passive participation observation, in-dept interviews, documentation and triangulation. It takes up to 8 (eight) informants consisting of a Main PPID and 7 (seven) PPID Assistants to produce the data until it is saturated. The results show that the organizational communication strategy implemented by the PPID Medan City Government has been carried out through the stipulation of PPID and information requesters as communicators as well as targets have been using communication channels and media directly (face to face) or through SIP-PPID (Public Information System-PPID), e-mail and the website, however social media application, an anlysis of audience needs and technical preparation of cetain messages have not been carried over the public participation

Innovation is the key to success in an organization. Without innovation the organization will not develop, it is aimed at improving the performance of public services. But as a lot of negative news about the police circulated, a bad image of the National Police has been formed in the society. General Listyo Sigit Prabowo first explained the concept of Presisi when undergoing due diligence and appropriateness of the candidate for the Chief of Police in Commission III of the DPR RI on January 20, 2021. This study aims to describe the innovation of the Presisi as a communication strategy for developing the image of the North Sumatra Regional Police to the community. This research is Qualitative research with unstructured observation methods and online data search / Internet Searching. The author finds that the North Sumatra Regional Police has realized 16 (Sixteen) Priority Programs and 8 (Eight) Commitments of the Chief of Police, General Listyo Sigit Prabowo.

The research aims to analyze the communication strategy that is employed by the TKPSDA secretariat and analyze the dynamics and efforts in implementing the secretariat’s communication strategy in improving the performance TKPSDA Toba-Asahan River Area. This research uses the concept of communicatrion strategy and Herbert Mead’s theory of symbolic interaction. The researcher uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. The research subjects consist of seven informants using the puposive technique. The results show that the communication strategy of the TKPSDA secretariat is carried out by considering four aspects, namely the aspect of knowing the communicant, the aspect of the message being conveyed, the aspect of the media being used, and the aspect of the communicator’s role. The obstacles faced by the TKPSDA secretariat are the different levels of members undesrstanding, the unvailability of facilities from members to carry out online activities, the presence of TKPSDA members representative of government elements, the factor of the work of the secretariat team that carries on the other works, and the monitoring and evaluation have not been implemented towards recommendations of trial results oh the TKPSDA Toba-Asahan River Area.

The research aims to analyze the interaction communication and self-concept of Rohingya refugees in Medan. This research conducted using qualitative and descriptive approach. Data are collected using interviews and observation. The research subjects are determined using purposive technique. Data are analysed using Miles and Huberman interactive model. The result obtained from this research indicate that the interaction done by Rohingya refugees in Medan creates communication experience for them which are divided into 2 categories, namely enjoyable communication experiences such as acceptance, symphaty, friendship, affection, and support; and unenjoyable communication experience such as anxiety, labelling, restrictions, and misscommunication. Self-concept of Rohingya refugees in Medan reflected into dimensionsof self-concept namely knowledge, expectation, and evaluation. Nine out of twelve informants have positive self-concept which can be seen from the small gap between the dimension of future self-expectationsthat leads to acceptance on their recent personal condition. While the other three informants have negative self-concept which can be seen from the considerable dap between the dimension of knowledge and future self-expectation regarrding thet leads to rejection on their recent personal condition.
