Abstract

This study aims to identify financial distress for coal mining firms registered in Indonesia Stock Exchange and analyze the factors that influent. This study uses methodological logistic regression analysis. The result of analyzing annual financial report 23 coal mining firms registered in Indonesia Stock Exchange period 2017-2018 is that 5 firms get financial distress. The result of estimation using logistic regressionshows that firm size and Debt to Equity Ratio (DER) significantly influent to the opportunity of coal mining firms gets financial distress. Thus, coal mining firms registered in Indonesia Stock Exchange period 2017-2018 need to enhance asset and use equity more than debt for firm’s funding.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the price change and volatility of strategic food commodities and the influence to inflation in Banda Aceh City. Food commodities in this study are restricted to rice, onion, red chili, and small chili. To identify the existance of strategic food commodities’ price volatility, this study uses ARCH/GARCH model. Then, this study uses further analysis by using multiple regression to know the influence of strategic food commodities’ price change and volatility to inflation in Banda Aceh City. The result of ARCH-LM test shows that price volatility is existed in the price change of rice and onion. Then, result of multiple resgression estimation shows that the price change of rice, onion, red chili, and small chili significantly have positive influence to inflation in Banda Aceh City. Price volatility of rice and onion insignificantly influent to inflation in Banda Aceh City. Thus, government should protect the price stabilty of strategic food commodities, especially rice, onion, red chili, and small chili in order to keep in mild inflation. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis faktor penentu perkembangan market share perbankan syariah di Provinsi Aceh. Penelitian ini menggunakan analisis regresi linier berganda. Hasil estimasi menunjukkan bahwa proporsi deposito mudharabah dan suku bunga deposito satu bulan bank konvensional berpengaruh secara signifikan positif terhadap market share perbankan syariah di Provinsi Aceh, sedangkan BI rate dan suku bunga deposito satu tahun bank konvensional berpengaruh secara signifikan negatif terhadap market share perbankan syariah di Provinsi Aceh. Dengan demikian, perbankan syariah perlu meningkatkan daya saing produk deposito mudharabah dengan menaikan nisbah bagi hasil. Selain itu, Bank Indonesia sebaiknya mempertimbangkan kepentingan bank syariah dalam penentuan suku bunga acuan BI rate.

Abstract

This study aims to identify economic sectors that will be the priority of regional development based on regional influence, regional specialization, and competitive advantage of economic sector in Aceh Jaya Regency. This study uses shift share model analysis and inference analysis by using multiple regression method. The result of estimation by using multiple regression analysis shows that regional specialization variable proxied by Proportionality Shift (PS) score and Competitive Advantage proxied by Differential Shift (DS) score significantly give positive influence to Economics Growth while Regional Influence proxied by Regional Share (RS) insignificantly influents to Economics Growth. The Priority of Regional Development could be foccused on economic sectors which have the high regional specialization and competitive advantage. Based on the result of Shift Share Model analysis, two sectors which have the highest Regional Specialization are Agriculture, Forestry, and Fishing Sector and Construction Sector. Then, two sectors which have the highest Competitive Advantage are Mining and Quarrying Sector and Manufacturing Sector.

Abstract

Kajian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi komoditas unggulan yang dapat dijadikan potensi perikanan laut tangkap pada setiap kecamatan di Kabupaten Aceh Jaya. Metode yang digunakan dalam kajian ini adalah analisis location quotient (LQ) dan analisis shift share. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa secara umum ikan tuna, tenggiri, dan kwee menjadi komoditas unggulan pada sebagian besar kecamatan di Kabupaten Aceh Jaya karena memiliki pertumbuhan cepat dan daya saing tinggi. Sebaliknya, komoditas kelompok udang belum menjadi komoditas unggulan karena pertumbuhannya lambat dan masih berdaya saing rendah.This study aims to identify leading cmomodity which can be marine fish capture potency of each sub-districts in Aceh Jaya Regency. This study uses location quotient (LQ) analysis and shift share analysis. The result of this study shows that generally tuna, mackerel, and kwee become leading commodity in most of sub-districts in Aceh Jaya Regency because of having fast growth and high competitiveness. On the other hand, the commodities of shrimp group have not become leading commodity because of having slow growth and low competitiveness.

Abstract

Aceh Jaya regency becomes the best patchouli producing area in Aceh. Patchouli oil levels produced above 30 percent make patchouli produced in Aceh Jaya have high economic value. This condition should be able to increase the passion of patchouli distillation industry in Aceh Jaya Regency. However, the development of the patchouli distillation industry cannot be separated from the role of labor and investment in the industry. This study aims to analyze the role of labor and investment to production of patchouli distillation industry in Aceh Jaya Regency. The sample in this study was 51 micro and small scale patchouli distillation industries in Aceh Jaya Regency. This study uses multiple regression analysis. The result of estimation shows that investment significantly gives positive influence to production patchouli distillation in Aceh Jaya Regency while labor insignificantly influents to production of patchouli distillation industry in Aceh Jaya Regency. Thus, local government and relevant agencies have to be able to increase the interest of investor and gives training both managerial and technical to increase the workers’ quality of patchouli distillation industry in Aceh Jaya Regency.

Abstract

Kabupaten Aceh Jaya merupakan salah satu daerah penghasil cabai merah di Provinsi Aceh. Secara umum komoditas pertanian tidak terkecuali cabai merah mempunyai masalah fluktuasi harga. Fluktuasi harga cabai merah menyebabkan risiko kerugian bagi produsen/ petani dan menurunnya daya beli konsumen. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi penyebab fluktuasi harga cabai merah baik pada tingkat produsen/ petani maupun konsumen di Kabupaten Aceh Jaya periode januari 2017 hingga desember 2019 dengan menggunakan analisis jalur. Hasil estimasi menunjukkan bahwa produksi cabai merah secara signifikan berpengaruh langsung terhadap harga cabai merah baik pada tingkat produsen/ petani maupun konsumen di Kabupaten Aceh Jaya. Hasil estimasi juga menunjukkan bahwa adanya pengaruh tidak langsung produksi cabai merah terhadap harga cabai merah pada tingkat konsumen di Kabupaten Aceh Jaya. Produksi cabai merah secara signifikan berpengaruh terhadap harga cabai merah pada tingkat konsumen melalui harga cabai merah pada tingkat produsen. Sebaliknya, harga pupuk urea tidak secara signifikan berpengaruh terhadap harga cabai merah baik secara langsung maupun tidak langsung. Dengan demikian, diperlukan upaya peningkatan produksi cabai merah serta penetapan harga cabai merah tertinggi dan terendah khususnya pada tingkat produsen/ petani di Kabupaten Aceh Jaya.

Abstract

The study aims to identify the business failure of transportation firms go public in Indonesia Stock Exchange and analyze the factors that influent the business failure risk.The method used in this study is descriptive analysis and inference analysis using multiple regression. The data used in this study are business failure risk, current ratio (CR), and firm size of transportation firms go public in Indonesian Stock Exchange period 2017-2018.The result of analyzing annual financial report 30 transportation firms go public in Indonesia Stock Exchange period 2017-2018 is that 12 firms have negative profit in period 2017-2018. Based on calculating value of business failure risk, three firms which have the highest possibility to get business failure are APOL, CANI, and TAXI. The result of estimation using multiple regression shows that Current Ratio (CR) and firm size significantly influent to the business failure risk. Thus, transportation firms go public in Indonesian Stock Exchange need to enhance asset and and use equity more than debt for firm’s funding.
