Abstract

Waste composition of Magelang City in the year of 2006 consists of 69, 65% organic waste and inorganicwaste 30, 35%. This composition indicates that Magelang City have potency to lessen its waste by applying3R concept and by optimizing the role of trash collector in managing inorganic waste. The existing wastemanagement condition shows that organic and inorganic wastes are not separated yet from its source. As aresult, inorganic waste (which is still economically valuable and still can be recycled) was brought to TPS.The target of this research is to find the waste amount and potency that can be recycled. These resultcontinued by planning the operational technique with 3R concept in Magelang City Waste Management.The research method in measuring volume and composition of waste is according to SNI 19-3964-1994.The result shows in year 2007, the quantity of inorganic waste that economically valuable beforeoptimalization is 1880,625 kg/day (4 %) and after optimalization is 6245,28 kg/day (13,28 %). While theincome of trash collector increase from Rp. 2.424.871,00 per day to Rp 8.052.679,00 per day. By applyingthis concep,t the waste managed by trash collector will increase495,67% from17,77 m3/day become 105,87m3/day in the year of 2023. Beside, by applying this 3R concept Magelang City can reduce the wasteoperational cost equal to 14, 27%.

Abstract

PT.Indofood an industry that produces liquid waste. The results form the side of the WWTP sludge that has not been managed well. This study used the results of WWTP sludge, domestic waste and waste from the fried onions PT.Indofood CBP as compost material. Aerobic compost processed within 50 liter plastic drum volume for 28 days with activators menambarkan EM4 and activated sludge. Comparison of sludge: domestic waste: used cooking onions row - helped the 6: 1: 1, 5: 2: 1, 4: 1.5: 1. The results showed that the mature compost variation with composition 6: 1: 1 is more optimal than the other variation with the ratio of C / N 12.99. The results of the majority of the variation in mature compost meets SNI 19-7030-2004, but to control the fried onions and domestic wastes do not meet these standards. EM4 compost activators have depreciation rate - the average is 59.44% greater than the activated sludge is 53.33%.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe laboratory is part of the work which carries the risk with other risks from equipment, chemicals, and worker behavior. Dangers that commonly cause harm should be prevented or controlled. These components will be identified types of risks and dangers of the terms of each of the processes that occur in the analytical work in the laboratory. Information from the identification results will be analyzed to determine the level of every source. The results of the analysis and assessment using risk assessment guidelines K3 BATAN which is chosen as the reference standard in this study. Based on the risk assessment of all research activities in the laboratory BTPLDD in October-November 2012 concluded the level risk of BTPLDD laboratory is A, which means the risk is acceptable and effective control measures assessed.

Abstract

This research in order to overcome the problems experienced PT.Indofood CBP waste by composting. The purpose of this study to determine the composition of the compost material so that the optimal amount of waste that can be reused as compost material can be determined. Composting process using two activators, namely Effective Microorganism 4 (EM4) and activated sludge. Mature compost meet the requirements of SNI 19-7030-2004. The best results were obtained in variations 5 using EM4 activator with a ratio of sludge: onion skins: fried onion = 8:2:1 with results C-organic 22.44%, 1.50% N-total, P-total 0.52 %, K-total of 1.08% and the ratio of C / N 14.92. In activated sludge activator with a variation of the same C-organic shows the results of 19.64%, 1.29% N-total, P-total of 0.39%, K-total 0.52% and the ratio of C / N 15.27.

Abstract

AbstrakData from the Ministry of Manpower and Transmigration mention in 2009 there have been 54,398 cases of occupational accidents in Indonesia. Working in a chemical laboratory, as well as working in the chemical industry, mining, and construction, contain risks include risks of safety (Imamkhasani, 1990). This study intend to determine the hazards that exist in the laboratory, perform risk assessments and control measures are appropriate. Hazard identification is done by reviewing aspects of human, environmental, process, system of manpower and equipment. Accident risk assessment carried out degan method of semi-quantitative analysis. The results of this study concluded that BPL2H Central Java province has 37 of hazard in all its activities. Risks in the Central Java BPL2H of research results are acceptable or low risk so the control is only carried out by reducing the intensity of activities that pose a risk to a minimum.

Abstract

AbstractSungai Baru Village is one of villages in the city of Banjarmasin that waste management is still using the old paradigm that is gathering, transportation, waste. In addition, the waste dumped into the back of the house and then dumped or incinerated. Even some that waste dumped into the river for that it needs to be done managing. Suitable alternative to be implemented in Sungai Baru Village is a community-based solid waste management with the implementation of the 3 R as waste is managed and utilized within the village so no need to be transported to the outside. In addition, provide additional income for the citizens and community, so that people can be channeled abilities. In order to increase the active role of the community, it needs to be done about the trash socialization and established a waste management organization in the Sungai Baru Village, which formed its staff based on the desire and willingness Villagers.

Abstract

Seiring dengan meningkatnya pertumbuhan industri dari skala kecil hingga skala besar mengakibatkan peningkatan pula terhadap jumlah buangan yang dihasilkan. Pada studi kasus ini adalah limbah industri pembuatan tahu. Salah satu bahan pencemar yang terdapat di dalam limbah tahu ini adalah kandungan TDS. Teknik yang digunakan adalah  pembentukan biofilm menggunakan media biofilter kerikil hasil letusan gunung merapi dalam bentuk random. Adapun tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kemampuan  aplikasi dari proses biofilm dalam penurunan kadar TDS dalam limbah tahu serta efisiensi penurunan dari konsentrasi tersebut. Dalam penelitian ini, digunakan 4 buah reaktor dengan sistem kontinyu serta memvariasikan waktu tinggal dalam reaktor. Adapun waktu tinggal yang digunakan adalah 60, 45, 30, dan 15 jam. Dari hasil penelitian yang dilakukan, didapatkan hasil bahwa penurunan konsentrasi TDS mencapai 91,23%. Dengan nilai penurunan untuk TDS dari 975 mg/l menjadi 73 mg/l.

Abstract

Sludge from food industry potentially treated with composting methods because of any organic matter such as carbohydrates, ptoteins, fat, coarse fiber, water and macro nutrient such as nitrogen and phosphorus. This research will be conducted composting process that Sludge mixed with domestic wastes and onion skins. Composting process used two activators. They are Effective Microorganism 4(EM4) and aktivator  from activated Sludge. Compost matured have meet the requirerements of SNI 19-7030-2004. The best result at variations on activator EM4 with ratio K1udge : domestic wastes : onion skins = 6:1:1 eith result C-organic 13,56%,N-total 0,91%, P-total  0,5%, K-total 0,53% and the C/N ratio 14,37. In the activator of activated K1udge with same variation show result C-organic 12,62%,N-total 0,67%, P-total  0,42%, K-total 0,5% and the C/N ratio 18,98.

Abstract

ABSTRACT BSB  City Industrial Estate is an industrial area which activities and centrally located in the district Mijen Semarang city, industrial area contains manufacturing and warehousing industries. this area will be constructed wastewater distribution system planning and Wastewater Treatment Plants. Widely held at the industrial park with an area of ± 110 ha area for existing or for future development. The distance between one industry to another with regular road network large enough to transport passing, the contours of which are in the industrial area has a contour in the form of hills and down into the river, this allows gravity flow drainage system. Distribution system which was selected to be applied in the industrial BSB City is a conventional system, since BSB City industrial area has a large area of land with a greater load distribution, so that the required pipe diameter is relatively large with no dependence on the availability of clean water. In addressing pollution would happen then to system off site, which means that the distribution of industrial waste water through a closed pipeline (sewerage system). Furthermore, for industrial wastewater treatment plant used wells equipped with pumps collector, barscreen, equalization basin, primary clarifier, activated sludge basin, and sludge drying bed. It hopefully will be able to overcome the environmental problems in the industrial area BSB City, Mijen Semarang City. AbstractIndustrial Park BSB City, Mijen-Semarang has concept as green technology industrial park. There’s 11 industry producting wastewater in existing area at this time. The industrial wastewater flow to drainage without any treatment which make odours at industrial park area. PT Karyadeka Alam Lestari as developer industrial would be like to build wastewater treatment plant which treat all wastewater industries therefore it needs Masterplan Management System Wastewater Industry At Industrial Park BSB City, Mijen-Semarang. This masterplan designing based on industrial park masterplan finished 2025.
