Abstract

This study is purposed to identify the impact of employee development, training, and employee job satisfaction  towards employee performance in Private Higher Education in Semarang, Central Java, Indonesia.Two-step approach to structural equation modeling was used to test the proposed model. The sample used in this study is 200 respondents. It was taken by applying proportional random sampling.There are several findings from this study: (1) the first hypothesis is accepted, which means that there is a significant and positive influence between employee development towards employee job satisfaction  ; (2) the second hypothesis is accepted indicating that there is a significant and positive influence between training towards organizational commitment; (3) the third hypothesis is accepted which shows that there is a significant and positive influence between employee development towards employee performance; (4) the fourth hypothesis is accepted meaning that there is a significant and positive influence between training  towards employee performance; and (5)the fifth hypothesis is accepted, which means that there is a significant and positive influence between employee job satisfaction towards employee performance. Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui dan menganalisa pengaruh kualitas kehidupan kerja, karakteristik pekerjaan, dan kepuasan kerja terhadap kinerja Aparatur Sipil Negara(ASN) pada Sekretariat Daerah Kabupaten Jepara, Jawa Tengah.Populasi penelitian ASN sebanyak 126 orang dan diambil sebagai  sampel sejumlah  120 responden. Analisis data menggunakan program SPSS versi 22 dengan pendekatan structural equation modeling (SEM).Hasil penelitian menunjukkan empat hipotesis diterima dan satu hiotesis ditolak: (1) hipotesis pertama diterima, kualitas kehidupan kerja berpengaruh positif signifikan terhadap kepuasan kerja; (2) hipotesis kedua ditolak, karakteristik pekerjaan  tidak berpengaruh  signifikan terhadap kepuasan kerja ; (3) hipotesis ketiga diterima, kualitas kehidupan  kerja  berpengaruh positif signifikan terhadap kinerja; (4)  hipotesis keempat diterima, karakteristik pekerjaan  berpengaruh positif signifikan terhadap kinerja; dan (5) hipotesis kelima diterima, kepuasan kerja  berpengaruh positif signifikan terhadap kinerjaThe purpose of this research is to know and analyze the influence of quality of work life, job characteristics, and job satisfaction on performance of National Civil Apparatus (ASN) at Sekretariat Daerah Regency of Jepara, Central Java. ASN research population as many as 126 people and taken as a sample of 120 respondents. Data analysis using SPSS program version 22 with structural equation modeling (SEM) approach. The results showed four accepted hypothesis and one hiotesis rejected: (1) first hypothesis accepted, quality of work life have a significant positive effect on job satisfaction; (2) the second hypothesis is rejected, job characteristics have no significant effect on job satisfaction; (3) third hypothesis accepted, quality of work life have a significant positive effect on performance; (4) fourth hypothesis accepted, job characteristics have a significant positive effect on performance; and (5) the fifth hypothesis accepted, job satisfaction has a significant positive effect on performance.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui  alternatif upaya untuk meningkatkan kinerja pegawai  Kantor Kesyahbandaran dan Otoritas Pelabuhan Kelas IV Tegal melalui kepuasan kerja pegawai. Untuk keperluan tersebut  dilakukan analisis pengaruh kompensasi, motivasi, dan kepuasan kerja , terhadap kinerja pegawai.  Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh pegawai pada Kantor Kesyahbandaran dan Otoritas Pelabuhan Kelas IV Tegal sebanyak 44 pegawai dan sekaligus dijadikan sebagai  sampel penelitian. Teknik penentuan sampel menggunakan sampling jenuh atau sensus. Teknik analisis yang digunakan adalah Regresi Linier Berganda.Uji hipotesis yang digunakan adalah Uji T dan Uji Mediasi.Hasil penelitian mwnunjukkan bahwa kompensasi berpengaruh positif dan signifikan berperhadap kinerja pegawai, kompensasi berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kepuasan kerja pegawai, motivasi berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja pegawai, motivasi berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kepuasan kerja pegawai, kepuasan kerja berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja pegawai.Kata kunci : kompensasi, motivasi, kepuasan kerja, kinerja pegawai AbstractThis study aims to find out the alternative efforts to improve the performance of the employees of the Class IV Port Authority and Harbormaster Office through employee job satisfaction. For this purpose an analysis of the effect of compensation, motivation and job satisfaction is carried out on employee performance. The population of this study were all employees of the Tegal Class IV Port Authority and Port Authority and Authority as many as 44 employees and at the same time used as research samples. Sample determination technique uses saturated sampling or census. The analysis technique used is Multiple Linear Regression. The hypothesis test used is the T Test and Mediation Test. The results showed that compensation had a positive and significant effect on employee performance, compensation had a positive and significant effect on employee job satisfaction, motivation had a positive and significant effect on employee performance, motivation had a positive and significant effect on employee job satisfaction, job satisfaction had a positive and significant effect on performance employee.Keywords: compensation, motivation, job satisfaction, employee performance
