Abstract

ABSTRACT Background: Tuberculosis (TB) is a direct infectious disease caused by TB microbe (Mycobacterium Tuberculosis). TB more often attacks those who are in the productive age (15 – 50) that causes a productivity declining. And then, it will effect also to the self-respect of tuberculosis patient. The selfrespectcomes from oneself and others by being loved, respected, and appreciated. The family support can be understood as an effort from someone to motivate others morally and materially in doing their activity. This research classifies four kinds of family support: Appreciation Support, Instrumental Support, Informational Support, and Emotional Support. Aim: The aim of this research is to know the influence of influence of family support of tuberculosis patient to the self-respect of tuberculosis patient. Methods: This research employs Analytic Research Design, especially descriptive analytic with cross sectional design. The data were taken from 31 respondents by using questionnaires. Result: Based on the contingency coefficient test, it is showed that there is a significant influence of family support to the self-respect of tuberculosis patient (0,000 < 5%, α = 0,05). Therefore, H1 is accepted, While H0 is rejected since the results shows that there is an influence of family support of tuberculosis patient to the self-respect of tuberculosis patient in Puskesmas Oebobo, Kupang. Abstract

ABSTRACT Background: Every individual has experienced pain in some degree. Pain is the most common reason people seek health care. Individuals who feel pain feel depressed or suffer and seek to relieve pain. Pain is subjective, no two individuals experience the same pain and no two same pain occurrences produce an identical response or feeling for an individual. Pain is a source of frustration, both the client and the health worker. Purpose: This study aimed to determine the effect of mobilization on the intensity of pain in postoperative patients. Methods: This research was a pre-experimental research with one group pre-posttest design, the data collection method used was total sampling, the research instrument used was the intensity instrument of baourbanis pain, early mobilization and mobilization instruments using observation sheets. Results: The result of hypothesis test of the effect of early mobilization on pain intensity in postoperative patient with wilcoxon test using SPSS 16 program showed that Z score = -3,947 with P-value = 0.000 then H0 is rejected and H1 received so it is concluded that there is influence of early mobilization to the intensity of pain in postoperative patients at RSUD SK Lerik Kupang. Conclusion: early mobilization affects the intensity of pain in postoperative patients so that it can be used as one of the actions of nursing in resolve pain in postoperative patient Key Words: Pain, Early Mobilization, Post Operative

Abstract

ABSTRAK Latar belakang: Diabetes mellitus merupakan penyakit kronik yang hingga saat ini belum bisa disembuhkan namun bisa dikontrol. DM yang tidak terkontrol dapat menimbulkan komplikasi pada berbagai organ tubuh termasuk ulkus diabetikum. Untuk mengontrol komplikasi ulkus diabetik, pengetahuan masyarakat mengenai penyakit serta komplikasi dapat berkontribusi untuk mencegah ulkus diabetikum. Tujuan penelitian ini. Tujuan: Penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui gambaran pengetahuan masyarakat tentang faktor resiko ulkus diabetikum di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Oebobo Kota Kupang. Metode penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan rancangan deskriptif. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik purposive sampling dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 44 responden. Instrumen penelitian ini menggunakan lembar kuesioner. Hasil penelitian: menunjukkan bahwa pengetahuan masyarakat tentang faktor resiko ulkus dalam kategori cukup sebanyak 21 responden (47.7%), pengetahuan kurang sebanyak 18 responden (40.9%) dan pengetahuan baik sebanyak 5 responden (11.4%). Di harapkan hasil penelitian ini dapat memberikan kontribusi terhadap pengetahuan dan pemahaman kepada masyarakat akan pentingnya memperoleh informasi dan memahami faktor resiko ulkus diabetikum guna meningkatkan derajat kesehatan masyarakat. Abstract

ABSTRACT Nurse job satisfaction is a very important element that affects nursing services in the hospital. One of the factors that affect the job satisfaction of nurses is the leadership style applied by the head of the room in leading and coordinating nurses in carrying out nursing care.The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the leadership style of the head of the room on job satisfaction of nurses at Referal Hospital Raeao Oe-cusse Timor-Leste. This research is a quantitative study with a comparative analytic research design using a cross sectional approach. The sample in this study amounted to 39 nurses at the Referal Hospital Raeao Oe-cusse Timor-Leste who were taken using a total sampling technique. Collecting data using a questionnaire of the head of the room leadership style and job satisfaction of the nurses. The results showed that most respondents rated the leadership style of the head of the room in a good category, namely 18 people (46.2%), most of the respondents had job satisfaction in the satisfied category of 26 people (66.7%). The results of the Chi-square test prove that there is a significant influence between the leadership style of the head of the room on the job satisfaction of nurses with p value = 0.003 (α <0.05). It is hoped that the head of the room can apply a good leadership style so that the nurses are satisfied in their work so that good nursing services are created.Keyword: Leadership Style, Nurse Job Satisfaction
