Abstract

This study aims to develop and implement a faculty attendance system based on geolocation, utilizing GPS technology for automatic recording of faculty attendance. This system is expected to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and transparency in the attendance process, as well as facilitate the management of faculty attendance data by administrators. The method used in this research is the prototype development method, which allows for iterative system development based on user feedback. The system development process includes needs identification, prototype design, development of the geolocation-based attendance application, system testing, as well as revisions and improvements to the prototype. The results of initial testing indicate that this attendance system successfully records faculty attendance time and location accurately using GPS technology, while also enabling administrators to monitor attendance reports in real-time. This research is expected to contribute to the utilization of geolocation technology to improve academic administration efficiency and provide practical solutions in managing faculty attendance in higher education institutions.

Abstract

This research aims to produce an output in the form of an application that functions to manage work meeting activities in an organization, whether formal, government, private or non-formal institutions. The research was conducted at the Faculty of Computer Science, Bhayangkara University, Jakarta Raya, from January 2023 to November 2023. Work meetings are staff meetings to discuss matters related to the implementation of work duties within an agency, organization or company. In this work meeting, it is necessary to record the costs incurred for meeting activities, document and archive them for administrative purposes as well as supporting evidence for an activity. Based on researchers' observations, minutes of work meeting activities, including attendance of work meeting participants, are still done manually, namely recorded using MS Word or Excel, so the data is often difficult to obtain or takes a long time to find. Based on these problems, it is necessary to have an application that can manage recaps of work meeting activities such as meeting minutes, meeting participants and photo documentation in real time, so that all meeting participants can know the results of the meeting directly. The system development method in this research is using the prototype method, the application is developed using the native PHP programming language and the database used is MySQL. The application created is expected to help government, private and other agencies in managing work meeting activity data optimally.

Abstract

This paper discusses the design of a stunting information system starting from creating a posyandu schedule to following up on stunted children. This system is built on a web basis so that it can be accessed by agencies related to stunting management and the public who want to see stunting activities in the city area. Bekasi. The system development method used is a prototype with the aim of accelerating the system development process so that this application can be used quickly and precisely according to the needs of its users. The result of the design and manufacture of this application is software that is expected to facilitate the implementation of activities for handling and overcoming stunting children through fast and accurate data collection.

Abstract

In this study, the author aims to build a website-based decision support system for selecting the best student at SMPN 266 Jakarta. For this reason, the selection of the best students not only has good academic scores, but can be supported by non-academic scores. In the process of determining the best students at SMP Negeri 266 Jakarta, it is still done manually using only report cards, so that the data processing process can take a long time and there is a risk of errors in the assessment process. The method that the author uses is the Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) method, the concept of the SAW method is to determine the weight value for each attribute, then proceed with a ranking process to determine the best alternative. There are four criteria that the author uses, namely Mid-Semester Assessment (PTS), Final Semester Assessment (PAS), Extracurricular and Attendance. The use of a Decision Support System (DSS) is expected to assist decisions made in selecting and determining who is the best student, considering that so far it has not used a certain method in selecting students, so that sometimes decisions are considered less precise and effective. The system is made using Hypertext Preprocessor (PHP) as a programming language with a MySQL database. The final result obtained, this system can produce output in the form of a report on the list of the best prospective students along with the value calculated using the SAW method.

Abstract

Activities in a company or institution are something that is usually done, the forms of these activities are generally training, socialization of new regulations, inauguration, and so on. These activities need to be recorded and the data managed as documentation or reference and consideration in subsequent activities. This activity requires planning starting from preparation, scheduling, distributing invitations via email, to implementing and recording the attendance of invited participants. The case study was conducted at PT Pelni Indonesia as an Indonesian National Shipping company that often carries out internal activities within the company. The problem that occurs in the management of company activities at PT Pelni is that so far it is still using the manual system. The participant registration process, participant data collection, sending invitations, recording participant attendance and so on are carried out in handwriting and stored in an excel file. Of course, this makes it difficult to search and manage data, and allows data loss or document slippage to occur. One solution that can be used to overcome these problems is to build an information system for managing company activity data. The management system can assist the HRD for data management needed in the implementation of activities carried out by the company. QR Code technology is also used to encrypt participant invitation numbers, verify participant data and to record attendance. The result of developing this system is a data management system for company activities by utilizing Quick Response Code (QR Code) technology. The generated QR Code can store various participant data in only 1 code and is used to verify participant data.

Abstract

The development of information technology has encouraged the implementation of coordinate-based employee attendance systems to improve accuracy and minimize fraud in attendance recording. However, this system poses security risks to sensitive data, such as employee identities, attendance timestamps, and location coordinates. Therefore, a reliable data security mechanism is required. This study aims to implement the Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) algorithm with a 256-bit key length in a coordinate-based employee attendance system to enhance data security. The research method used is an experimental method consisting of requirement analysis, system design, implementation of the AES-256 algorithm, and system testing stages. The results show that the implementation of AES-256 is able to encrypt attendance data effectively so that the data cannot be directly read without a decryption process. In addition, the encryption and decryption processes do not have a significant impact on system performance. Thus, the AES-256 algorithm can be effectively applied to improve security in coordinate-based employee attendance systems.
